SO...the 2ML genuinely likes Shi Yi even though he didn't ever meet her till like ep 5? Good lawd....if he got the feels for her over a painting, I'm impressed. It's like the ancient version of photo filters. I don't think the paintings look anything like her or have they ever looked like the person in any ancient drama. I was wondering if there was something more between them because it didn't really show that they had any history together like playing together as kids, she saved him once ...etc etc
I'm going to say this louder for the folks in the back....I LOVE THIS DRAMA...so far! Eye candy leads in my opinion but I have just fallen head over heels in love with our FML. The ML is great but I'm just going to say he is so lucky when he gets her. She's clever and sweet without being nauseating. Yes, they had their history and she was hurt by his rejection but she didn't wallow in it.
Our FML went on to live her life and albeit made it a good one. She attained fame and fortune but maintained her genuine sweet nature. I love how she's playful but uses her maturity when she needs to. I love how she sees who our ML is and genuinely supports him even when he questions himself. She's the kind of signifiant other most of us would desire to have. Someone who is in our corner even when they are the only one there, who cheers for us when the world stays silent. I've seen a lot of dramas but thus far she is going down as one of my favorite characters with how balanced she is written to be.
It's been a while since I've been able to say this but I absolutely love our FML. It goes without saying that she's a beauty but I love how her character is written. She's not annoying and is caring, sweet, and smart - 5 stars so far in my book.

I spook easily and avoid horror films. I've watched about 90% of this drama thus far and have no seen anything "scary". Not sure what other's definition is but so far it's not scary in the sense of ghosts and things crawling out from under the bed at night version.
Looking ahead to previews of EP30/31/32, seems that DXS is starting to realize the social gap between herself…
The problem with DXS and LYZ's relationship is two fold. She has to figure out if she can tolerate being who she needs and wants to be in order to mesh their worlds together. DXS needs to sort it out herself or have a mature conversation with him about it. LYZ can say and do thinks to make her feel better, but ultimately it comes down to her. He can only go so far and it's not his job to make her feel whole in their relationship. I don't think till this point she ever imagined that she would need to enter his world in this capacity.
On the flip, his really does have some serious things going on in his life right now. He basically is rebuilding from the ground up and though love is important since they've come back from the island I haven't found any of his actions or reactions towards her unreasonable - ep 30. I think DXS is able to balance LYZ and complete and fulfill missing components of his life. But I agree that I'm not certain LYZ's character completes her - as of right now. And I say that being in love with both ZR and LYZ.
I didn't let the negative comments impact me and I went ahead and gave the drama a chance. Boy, oh boy, I barely made it through Ep 1. It's bad. I don't think either leads can act. Pretty to look at but I can't make it through another ep.
It very well could be - I think in this case her character makes the viewer have a further understanding of how and why her boyfriend does what he does or acts the way he does. Even though he's a nice guy, the gf's character is like a giant boulder on his shoulders.

I’m interested to see how the history between XS and LXY plays out too. There does seem to be nervousness there versus just dislike or hate from if they had a previous romantic relationship which ended with her being jaded or dumped.
Comparing the summary above and what's been shown so far in the show - I'm confused...did the main leads YX and XS actually have a one night stand some time in the past? Or did it get altered from what we've seen so far into some other past encounter?
