Hmmm....I don't know if they picked the right female lead for this drama. I think she makes it too obvious she is acting out a character. Just my two.

Yup, for a general I would expect her to be pretty a pretty good fighter and wise. I'm not seeing it.

Sadly, I am finding myself skimming through the episodes because the toxic character consume so much screen time and it's constant one thing after another. There has not been a single 5 minutes break and it's exhausting. I want there to be give and take and wins/losses for the ML and FML but honestly it's like they are getting smacked over and over and over.

Oh lol...sorry! Yes, she's too good for him but I have the sense she will just eat whatever lies he dishes out. I don't see her realizing the severity of her mans's problems and having the power to make him change.

It isn't going to happen but I do wish him for her. He seems sweet and our FML won't have to go through what she will have to endure with he ML's mom. Yet, if she marries the wealthy young pilot her brother will just use the opportunity to try to squeeze even more from her.

This drama has the largest army of annoying characters EVER. FML's younger brother is a waste of space, his future in-laws are a pile of human waste, FML's dad is a headache, FML's mom is too weak and therefore I consider her useless. There's the FML's BIL's colleague who is doing shady things. ML's mom is out of this world. I feel as though I've gone through the entire list of characters.

The mother really needs to get some help. I feel as though our ML knows it but just hasn't had the motivation to fight that battle and get her evaluated.

Yes, the writers didn't follow through. After getting to the end of ep 46 and still YY - facepalm on repeat. HDR and the new emperor are written to be so much wiser. Whereas YY is still stuck in the emotions and feelings about HN. I wish the writers would have just quit with that stuff versus dragging the nonsensical family stuff through the very end of this drama.

HN didn't turn out to be the wise older sister I was hoping for. There were glimpses of it but all in all I think she flopped. It reminded me about a line her Dad had said to her super early on in the drama - he essentially said HN used her heart when she should have been calculating and calculating when she should have been using her heart. I think he was referring to her relationship with her husband when she wanted to be married off to MY in place of YY but I really feel like he summed up her character for the entire drama.

I couldn't help but feel YY was just pathetic in this episode. She is incapable to being a true leader. To be as naive as she was to dine and drink with WGL after all that has transpired proves she has no clue at all who her sister is. Even as HDR wanted to drag WGL out at the end she still calls off the troops to have a conversation. What needs to be said at that point? When people have shown you their true colors ten times over and still you can't get it together to take them out, the enemy isn't the problem, YY is.
For real, WGL legit tried to poison her and then wanted to stab her and still she was weak sauce. HDR is the one who truly deserves to be the legend, it shouldn't be the legend of xiao chuo.
Till the very end HN was still saying we are sisters, why couldn't you guys give her a free pass? Right. Shows how none of the three sisters grew as characters. What in the world would give HN any indication that WGL would have ever stoped trying to kill YY. Nothing, because she wouldn't have. I feel the script writers failed the characters in this regard. They stuck the three sisters in a perpetual cycle on repeat with no one truly having growth. Circumstances changed but they are still the same.

Yup, we knew where her moral compass was when she showed zero remorse and responsibility when her older sister was backed in to a marriage as a direct result of her actions.

I was about to host a virtual party when XY and WGL finally made their exit. For a wise Queen her wishy washy handing of her family and their messy relationships was starting to wear on me. It was an endless cat and mouse game. Your hubby does the unthinkable and tries to take her out, family member cries and begs, you buckle and forgive, throw the husband in time out, he comes back - repeat steps 1-5. Then he finally gets taken out and silly mush for brains family member then seeks revenge while never looking at their own role in the outcome. Never holding those who are responsible - responsible. Meanwhile another family member is on the sidelines crying out for mercy and to think of the family. Can I insert a face palm here?
I can't forget that our beloved Queen isn't a spring chicken. At this point in the game, she's been in in charge for 14 years and is the mother to multiple children. Even a four year knows to fight back when someone keeps poking and poking.

I saw someone asked this elsewhere but did we ever see what happened to Concubine XiGe? I saw the episode where she opened up the gates to let the bad guys in and then in ep 39/40 she was referenced and they said happened to her - but did they cut that actual scene?

Same - i'm not feeling the brother. If he's considered the 2ML or the second couple - I'm in trouble lol.

I thought I saw somewhere that she goes back and marries DeRang later in life after MingLi passes. Not sure if that will happen but that wouldn't be a bad ending. It would give those who ship them as a couple some level of closure.

Lol...he can't even hold his wine. True though. I'm wondering if the opposite personalities between her and MingLi will be what works for them. Also, I see his illness being a soft spot for her. It might never be the burning passion kind of first love but it will be a slow flame - perhaps.

They have more than one son? I can't feel out if she really does fall in love with him. I know Han DeRang is her soulmate but based on the episodes so far I was hoping that she learns to love MingLi in a different way.

I can't find anywhere that shows the last 4 eps.

Who else suddenly felt the urge to make sure they had a Salonpas patch in the house in case the need should arise?

I'm struggling a bit getting into the FML's young girl character. Is it the eyeliner or what? She has too much of a matronly look to be the young character she's portraying I'm feeling. Hoping to get more into her character as ep 1 progresses..eeks.
