Episode 4 about 25min in when BFX and the cute little brother are sitting in the pavilion having tea and chatting. Does anyone else feel like the conversation between her and the little boy is prophetic and a sign of what is to come for Huang Chao?
The female and 2FL leads acting feels super weak in this drama. Pretty and cute for sure but the acting feels like acting. I'm finding the actions the characters are displaying don't match their emotions or the storyline, like they they are stretch. For instance, to be having a conversations where both folks are just talking and though the topic is difficult - she randomly smashes a cake in his face. Then splashing water on someone's face. The range of ability for the FML is super limited and 2FML is perfect for a 3rd or 4th string character such as a little sister in the family but not enough to carry a 2nd FML presence. I struggle with how our FML can be portraying a top actress the drama when her own acting is subpar. Just the vibe I'm picking off so far....I'm sticking with it in hopes things turn for the better bc I want to like this drama.
I'm perplexed over "Mister 7's" role in the drama. He's a businessman i presume but what's his interest in gettin involved with the Rong Family. Is it all business or a personal vendetta? Sometimes he approaches things as if he's an undercover cop. I'm prob overthinking it but what exactly is his place in this drama?
I'm not a fan of the the FML's acting here either. She sure is pretty but I feel like she is exactly the same as she is in other dramas, only the costume has changed. Sticking around for the ML.

I'm digging the ML and I think he is carrying the chemistry between him and the FML. I've never felt she was a great actress, pretty, but not much emotion. I think for the ML's sake I've stayed interested in the drama thus far.
The OP is entitled to their opinion and you can choose to disagree. It's his/her observation and it is a fair one IMO. Telling someone to stop body shaming...do you tell other's to stop actor/actress shaming when they comment that someone can't act or deliver their lines? My guess is - no. You are essentially shaming the OP by your comment.
I'm not familiar with the ML but after several episodes I'm just not connecting with him. Oddly enough, I like the character as it was written. But the actor is lost on me. The actor playing the ML isn't bad looking at all but perhaps his visual don't settle well with me in one way or another. Hey, it is what it is sometimes.....
Wow that was pretty mean. He is not a handsome guy for sure but the drug addict comment is quite rude.
I think he's attractive looking in his role but we all have our own tastes. I don't see anything wrong with you saying he "looks" like someone with substance abuse issues. He does to you, that's your comment. It's not as though you came out and said he is an addict or is hiding addiction issues. He is on the thin side and though I find him attractive in his character's outfits - he does look a bit gaunt and that's an honest assessment.
Here we are at ep29 and the sister still isn’t getting the mental help she needs. The fact she just apologizes and puppy eyes her way out of every inexcusable mess baffles me.
The sister and ex’s relationship bores me and is super annoying. The ex has no one but himself to blame for their relationship. He made the bed, he gets to sleep in.
And though I love Nicky Wu- his attempt to be cute doesn’t work for me. I struggle to understand him bc he sounds like he’s mumbling. I didn’t have this issue forever ago watching him in BBJX. Ugh!!
I understand that the side couples are a part of the overall drama but I just can't get into their storyline or relationships. I end up fast forwarding through them.
Loving our female lead so far and how the four main lead guys are all seemingly decent so far. Even the Lu Yan Qi. I think Jin Han wouldn't have been my pick for a main lead guy but his acting isn't too bad. I just can't get over the visuals of him because my mind automatically goes to bad guy when I see him.
