Lee Sung Min is a veteran i watched this bcz of him. As a country which was once colonized n faced millions of death i understand n empathize the MC .We can forgive but can't forget.
I get the revenge thing but the people betrayed our country are rich n prospered n we know that ,i dnt know why is it a hidden fact in korea. Those were times when traitors thought that Britain is the future of India so they accepted them,there was no sense of nationality at those times so i completely get their decision.Still many people think the Great Britain made India what we are today including being civilized...they are completely blinded when it comes to facts n see only few good things. But that 'comfort woman ' thing can't be forgiven n that's one of the reasons why China n Korea still hate Japan but Japan n Korea still come together to fight against North Korea.Theres no sentiments only national interest n economy in today's times so revenge seems to be irrelevant n does no good for anyone but it's a strong sentiment that can't be neglected. P.S.the plotholes in the movie are way too many they completely ignored it n focused only on emotional part so i was confused as to how to rate this. Between 7.5 n 8 it's a solid 7.5 , totally worth watching.

Ending was crystal clear so there's no need for part2 n no idea why people r saying it was Naomi's father with Maki in the car in that end scene it's not him.
Maki character was innocent n Naomi always felt like a loser ,they both longed for each other but Naomi cudnt contain his feelings n lost it plus he had a serious case of inferiority complex,they did good breaking up bcz their physical intimacy looked it foreplay or wrestling lol but it was clear they cudnt accept n express their feelings for each other so they cudnt confess n ended up causing each other pain.
Director is Kudo Riho. MDL should update the names. Director is young but did a good job to give the insights, I'll be watching her other movies too.She is talented.
It was slice of life more than romance.Sweet,emotional,fun,sad,realistic with satisfying ending. I liked the chemistry between the actors n that they were average looking which gave me a natural feeling n i liked the ambience. I dint get much emotional but it's worth watching. Maki actor looks like Kaho.

A psychological movie about a policeman who is a loser in life atlst thats what he thinks, ridiculed by his ex wife n daughter along with so many things pushing him towards depression that he completely becomes someone else to cope up. U wont feel empathy for him but u won't be able to hate him much either. Good acting by MC.
