Could only watch 20 mins of the movie n even that was hard to find. The whole movie is about sexual symbolism. How people indulge themselves in sex of all kinds whether its rape or aggressive n violent sexual activity for entertainment. That police guy taking out the nail from wall must represent the law keeping an eye to these crimes. With no review available at any site i am confused as to what does everything actual mean but one thing i can interpret with surity is Shuji san is a pervert lol,otherwise who find think of nail as a phallus.

I understand. She could have been saved but shut ins can be very selfish as they have already cut themselves from the world n live in their own ,they commit suicide without considering their family so it wasnt a shocker that she dint make efforts. Her fear was stronger than her care that is what i felt. Still she tried to redeem herself , yeah it was an optimistic approach but the damage was already done there was no excuse . Atleast it can make her open up.
"If there was a planet in this universe where one person could live on their own, would u like to go there " Asks the hikikomori MC to her hikikomori chat friend. Totally relevant in today's time n some of us can relate to the characters. It was depressing, could have gotten darker but ended up being inspiring. Wasn't that good, looked comical at times but still managed to give overview . Don't forget to use the earphones music is nice.
I was grossed out seeing those two ladies brushing their teeth.Maybe that's why someone rated it 5 lol.
Thanx to synopsis i understood it a little,still i dint grasp a single thing from the movie where i m good at interpretation when it comes to symbolism if not the best.I dint understand his The Cage either but i was still entertained n kept watching mainly bcz these r short. U cant just expect cute n happy teenager hollywood kind of movie from Japan lol. M surprised to see lesbian romance which was only few seconds but still it was 1985 , Japanese have always been ahead of time. They were more open in past than today.

This movie dint grab me, i wasn't engaged with characters or rooted for them, the events were random, there were so many characters n they all were gloomy n sad but still enjoyed the time when they were stuck in typhoon. It was nostalgic but not an important movie.
"why do people complain about everything" They do it no matter what u do so don't change urself for the sake of others if it's causing u so much pain n suffering. A lovely,sad n emotional slice of life short movie.

I liked The Butterfly's review n agree with them but I enjoyed the movie bcz of their acting n how the execution n transition from present to flashback was presented without confusing the viewers, today directors intentionally try to confuse the audience by complicating the simplest story n making it ambiguous.
Loved the last story so much, very much relevant in today's time n the old man is 103 year old n still can't forget how his first love ditched him, it was just cute hehe.
