Have to say this is my fave Joseph Zeng drama to date. I first learned about him in Dragon Sabre but I've been hardwired to prefer the TVB version from 2000 that new versions never stand up to it. He did decently well in Dragon Sabre but thanks to the script writing, his character development started swaying off from the original material and made it unbearable at times. I've not seen him with Liang Jie yet (I've seen only 6 episodes) and it does not give me the same happy and eagerly awaiting feelings I would with Rebirth for You. Loving it so far.
Can someone please tell what happened to xc...like why didn't he show himself why was he in a hoody..what happens..how…
My theory is that he feels deeply ashamed for not only losing everything again but he lost a very good and loyal friend. Similar to the time when he was at his lowest- he broke up with girlfriend because he had nothing to offer to her for a happy/stable life. He probably hasn't gotten over the fact that he's lost the company he worked hard to build. He's too proud to ask for help as well. I think he's not going to get back in touch with his friends unless they actively seek him out.
I cried so bad during the father and son moment... gosh when Yuanqi hesitate to call Bai Jue father but then called…
I completely agreed with you. The first time I shed a tear watching this series was this moment. This is why I love Xu Kai so much. He nails these mixed emotions part extremely well.
I have to say, I'm not really getting the romantic vibes from our leads- likely due to the editing. I don't mind a fast paced romance but at least have it make more sense then how they suddenly started dating, suddenly break up and then suddenly reconcile. I'm only up to ep 9 and the only thing grabbing my attention are the rescue/emergency scenes but then I get bored in the slice of life that could have been executed much better. I keep on thinking of You are my hero which in contrast- lacked those emergency scenes- spent a lot of time on just the slice of life which I didn't mind. Appears hard to find the right balance of enough of those rescue scenes and just day to day life.
I fast forwarded the last 8 episodes (read recaps) and still it did not renew my interest but glad I didn't waste a further 9 hours of my life. Yes I expected something like Goblin when you insert an immortal with the power of Doom. What I got was nothing I expected. I did not expect it to be this boring. It had great potential and sure, explore all you want about life and death and you can do that effectively without inserting the fantasy element of gods or just have 1 god that actually makes sense!
I actually like Qing Mu better than Bai Jue and Xue Kai does it well. He's back to his cute and shameless self from Military Arsenal Academy (a few tons down but it's there) and the story with Hou Chi is definitely better than Bai Jue/Shanggu. I can't wait for more and like others, I was eager to binge watch till ep 30 but alas, next week!
I’m sorry but I’m finding S3 really boring compared to S1 and S2 which I absolutely loved! This story is literally…
Agree! I just don't feel that zingy feel I got back on season 2 where I want more and more episodes. It was intriguing. I'm on ep 7 now and it's been slow pace. At least with the last 2 seasons, by 7 episodes, a lot has already been talked about because they are short dramas. I am hoping it turns better.

The dialogue between TDK & Doom is the same thing over again in almost every episode. Honestly don’t care about…
Omg! I so agree with you. I started losing interest around ep 5-6 and now it's just barely tolerable. The beginning looked promising and I enjoyed it and was eager for new episodes but really- nothing is moving. Does Doom not have anything to do other than hang around TDK all the time? I would expect someone who has 100 days left to live to live it fully or are they living as if there is no deadline. The 2nd lead romance, I just skip them entirely. I'm waiting for the next 'big' move coming from the deity or a shift in the cosmos cuz nothing is happening on Earth. Gotta be THE most boring K drama I've seen to date and there are less than a handful but I need closure so sticking to the end to find out.
Love the 1st season, 2nd season wasn't too bad- plotline got a tad too confusing but many cue moments of the M/F leads. I love how it's such a low budget film that they can film and finish production in a matter of a few months so we don't wait too long. I hope this is the final one though- there is only so many ways you can reinvent the storyline and not feel like it's being dragged out for money sake. Mind you, each season is only 25-28 episodes so it's actually a short drama that 3 is really at the limit of a complicated storyline. Still looking forward to it. I find Liang Jie has the best chemistry with Xing Zhao Ling. I was trying to watch her in Time Flies where she co-starts with Joseph Zeng- at episode 5 and I'm not feeling the zingy chemistry at all.
Can someone tell me the ending in the manga? I'm somewhat confused by the ending scenes. Sun is in his full eagle general outfit. I'm not sure what happens with the Ashina tribe. I doubt it that she'er can be the new successor after what his mother did. Someone has to lead the tribe given the Khan remains ill and will no longer have the ambitious heart for warfare. I'm left with Sun carrying the burden because it's not like him to just leave his people and live out in peace.
Definitely replayed that scene multiple times. It was so intense how he literally threw his sword to the ground…
And then gutwrenching to see after the blood and sweat for that duel, CG throws it all away by begging to stay. That emotional protest from Sun when he slammed that bowl down was epic. No thanks is one thing but for him to realize he did it ALL for nothing! Nothing!
Ep. 23-24 were lessons to both Chang Ge and Sun in futility.Sun worked so hard to free Chang Ge, only for her…
I think you are onto something with She'er's mother. It appears that She'er's right hand man doesn't follow his orders directly. He overtakes She'er and seemingly taking orders from his mother instead or at least look at her best interests more than She'er. I too thought that when Sher and Sun could have a civilized conversation about their rivalry, how things could be different in using Sun to help him secure power as opposed to seeing Sun as a rival. That was the whole purpose of the Great Khan appeasing Sun because he knows he is capable. Without Sun, the Ashile tribe is merely just a bunch of grassland men with a thirst for land and war. Sun is the one with brains here.
Okay, so the only purpose of life for Hao Du is just constantly hunting Changge? X"DDDDDDDDDDDD
If he wasn't chasing down CG, he's trying to keep tabs on LeYan cuz she slips out from him and I would be over protective too considering he spent over 10 episodes trying to find her. lol
Only that he is most likely a Han Chinese like CG but of unknown family. This was implied from the Great Khan on why Sun will never be his successor as he isn't truly from the Grasslands.
