Most of drama viewers are women and Korean women are suffering from Korean men like deepfake , taking pictures of them in public toilets and rape when they're drunk, so the best story to watch is not about 90 percent of men but about the pure ML . It is about what the Korean audiences want .
There is another popular drama called love scout , ML is different from pure virgin ML . You can watch it in case you want to break free from pure ML .

It is just drama and it's up to the writer what to show us like you said . In real life , there are people who date or have never dated , love or have never loved and live differently and they react based on their traumas , past experiences and future visions . We all know that FL and ML are fictious characters but they are for sure similar to real people in a way or another. I personally don't see myself in this drama , but as a viewer , I would like to see psychological romantic story without judging the leads . At the end , I would like to just enjoy this drama and I don't care about leads dating life because the story is more than that .

I read synopsis of drama in mydramalist and viki and I don't find anything about FL playing around , however , if she did , it would align with the drama because she was labelled as bit*ch just because her mother is foreigner and her father owns a motel and maybe the society pushed her to rebel in that way . This drama is about FL suffer with the society judgement and misconceptions .
On the other hand , when she left the town , she wanted to cut ties with everyone included ML because they would remind her with the past which she wanted to forget . FL has the right to have a life in a big city , even I still believe she has an issue with men.
For ML , he lives in small town and he hadn't the chance to meet many women except the daughters of the neighbors , so he couldn't move on from FL .
We're still at the beginning of the drama and the whole drama is about FL getting over her past and finding happiness , so it is too early to judge.
At the end , people have different preferences when it comes to choosing their partners.

Unfortunately, but this how the world should be . Mental health is a serious issue and it is not something that can be treated lightly .Even if the world is cruel , there must a be a bright side and good caring people who would stand by others in need .

I believe even the crazy person is a victim of his/ her family , neighborhood, society , work environment and his /her own expectations and disappointments. That person should be treated with dignity and respect even if we don't understand him/her. That person needs warmth and help in order to live a better life.

I see people complaining about ML waiting for FL for 12 years but from the opposite side , FL did the same . She lived in a neighborhood where everyone hated her and gossiped about her . She felt that she was unwanted child even with the efforts that her father was making for her ,and her feelings are related to her mother and probable unwanted pregnancy . ML brought her the warmth and he is her especial first pure love . She has been going through inner fights and she hasn't gone over her past traumas especially every time she goes back to her neighborhood , they put the salt on her wounds. She is acting like bit*ch but she is not , it was the image that she puts in order to protect her self as her defense mechanism while dealing with people who refuse to accept mixed race .
I believe FL has never dated anyone except ML and she was joking with SML when she said that she may know him unless they slept together. FL has an issue with men and ML is the exception .

I like your explanation for Liu Chang attitude and I think he just needs to grow up and break free from his traumas . We still have 42 eps so I believe we'll see the changes to the best in his attitudes.

He is like spoiled limited boy and he blamed FL without taking in consideration her situation. He wanted to be righteous officer but he is incompetent because before serving the people , he should first learn to have a voice in his family and to be responsible for his decisions . I think he was portrayed that way in order for us to see some personality development during the upcoming eps.

It is well said . I felt that mai and le don't have a future together and their personalities don't match . Le is kind of guy who would change her life prospective but his existence is temporary . For that woman and the child , I think it was like reconciling with younger self in order to move .
My only biggest complain is like you mentioned mai-le got fewer scenes by the end of the drama, which made me personally unable to digest their happy ending because I felt they needed more communication and mutual understanding .

It was a summer vacation vibe drama and It made me travel virtually to Macau. The cinematography made falling in love with the city and the people .
The love stories were different because each character has a different past and unique trauma . I enjoyed their encounters and their feelings' development , however , I felt it would be more realistic if we had a different ending especially for Mai story because Xu Jun Le is not the ideal guy to plan a future with and he is yolo type .
I noticed that there was a potential love line between Mai and Elvis but it was portrayed as they were not meant to each other.
I highly recommend this drama for those who want to watch a beautiful city filled with the warmth of the local and of the family of XJL.
