I understand but there are really worse dramas which are ranked higher than this drama so I think this drop is too much

I think it's both . If you watch it , you would understand my point . In the comment section , you would notice that some people would say it is a sad ending ,while others would say it's kind of happy ending . To me , it's happy ending when they met during the peace time

I cried like a baby but what-if scenario was the ending for me and I believe that they went through rebirth so it's a happy ending for me

MJH died from old age . I personally believe that there wasn't any fire and the whole drama was in another universe or a nightmare and our main leads met when he was the hero of her city so nobody died .

I watched these historical drama with sad ending and I dropped one of them because ML and FL didn't have the chance to live the romance that they deserved ,but I finished Kill me love me because I really appreciate the romance between the main leads and the acting of all the leads especially a fate guy from the village and his love story . The ending was sad but we had an alternative ending kind of like rebirth or parallel world , that was the ending for me .

because he wanted his father to believe that 'momei' people are trying to assassinate him, then he would link this assassination group to the crown prince and to the fire incident and the slaughter that happened in Fl's city and to which he took the blame

They were amazing and I really loved the innocent part of them when they met due to the fate not due to the fire incident at the end.

I watched the double and I admit that Kill me love is not the same level of the double which is youku best drama of 2024 ,but Kill me love me showed another side of wu jinyan and she deservers a recognition for that .

I knew we would have this ending just from the title but I personally enjoyed this drama with its shortcomings . It was an engaging drama with some dragging parts but it's really worth watching till the end. For the ending , there are two endings , one which made me cry and the other one that made smile from happiness .

It is really a good drama and the ending is not that bad . If you believe in parallel world or rebirth , you would understand much better the ending. I admit that this drama isn't at the same level of the double but it is much better than most of historical cdrama that recently finished airing .

She had been hungry for ML love and attention for years , then the crown prince showed her that she deserved someone better who truly loved her so any fragile woman would fall for his trick . That love made her blind to the point which she can't differentiate between right and wrong. Never forget , the crown prince was manipulative , even the late empress and the emperor believed him.

The drama english title kill me love me lived up to its name , I was trying to convince myself that it would have a different ending but it didn't .
I felt that this drama has different parts :
part 1 was dark and the relationship between main leads was poisonous and unequal , part 2 : the life in the village , it was like a spring in the main leads lives ,
part 3: the ending of the revenge story ,
part 4 : SML and FL story in xiyan , then ML comeback with the good governor outfit + some hopeless romantic moments
part 5 : main leads happy reunion , war +deaths
part 6 : two different endings : a sad one and a happy one
I personally enjoyed this drama and It is one of the best dramas of 2024.
FL was the type of character that I want to see in other dramas , she was strong , smart , good in martial arts and she shows her emotions in a terrific way , she is my best character of 2024 .
Also ,ML did a great job and all the leads were really phenomenon .
For the ending , I would like to believe that ML and FL met in parallel world or they got the rebirth and I would like to believe that their fate was stronger than their tragedy so they had happy ending in different universe or in different time.
Honestly , there were some dragging and I believe that some people were disappointed because they were expecting a story like bloody romance or my journey to you ,but I feel that even though the story shifted from dark to classic historical drama , the changes served story .
My rate for this drama is 9/10 and I highly recommend this drama with the double of course .

I meant Iqiyi love on series which are all romance focus series , It is mentioned above in related content . Concerning their romance , I still can't tell how deep it would be

I understand you and I respect your opinion . It is a good drama whether there would a real romance or not , we'll see after we reach ep 20 because in cdrama the actual romance starts later . Anyway , we're currently enjoying the drama , I hope they don't ruin with unnecessary plots.

The romance between ML and FL has started when he was the masked guy . We're at the beginning of drama so their romance is slowly developed and there is an apparent love triangle and this drama is part of iqiyi love on. Concerning their chemistry , It's too early to judge
