How far did you get? I personally liked the second half of the series better, after she is taken by Allen Ren to the cold north. The story is quite riveting after that part!

Oh, and I agree with you. Yang Zi and Bai Lu are the top stars of this year. I would consider Zhao Lusi being super close with Hidden Love too. For actors, I think Zhang Ling He and Leo Luo are the top for this year.

I really liked The Blue Whisper with Dilraba and Allen Ren. The storyline is amazing, and the production and OSTs are beautiful. Have you tried watching this one?

Understandable. Even though I love Zhao Lusi, I don't even watch some of her dramas if I don't like the FL characterization and/or the storyline. Same with any other actors or actresses that I like. Just curious, which Zhao Lusi dramas have you seen?

It's unlikely to be their voice, since many dramas are dubbed by voice actresses. You may simply not like them for how they look like, or think they're overhyped. It's totally ok and normal to have preferences for certain actresses. Personally, I actually try my best to not dislike an actress unless I find their acting to be fake / insufficient for the role. Even then, I try to give them the chance to improve in future dramas, esp if I like the ML and/or storyline. For me, Yang Chaoyue is an example where I keep trying to give her chances. She finally impressed me in Love You Seven Times -- that was the first drama I could watch the entire series, while her other dramas I dropped after the first few eps. So I guess I'm saying, give Zhao Lusi and Dilraba a chance. Even if you may not like them, you'll miss out on amazing, epic stories with wonderful MLs by avoiding simply due to not liking the actress.

The only reason I even recommended Love Better Than Immortality was bc the villain is ML (as requested by OP) plus actually gets the girl lol. Otherwise I wouldn't usually recommend the drama since the plot and supporting cast are not good enough to hold one's attention.

Lol understandable. Those three works are not her best. I love Zhao Lusi and I still couldn't even watch Prodigy Healer or Love a Thousand Years. My personal favorites from her are:
1) Romance of Tiger and Rose 2) Love Like The Galaxy 3) Who Rules The World 4) Hidden Love 5) The Long Ballad
These five works above are the ones I would recommend to introduce people to Zhao Lusi's acting capabilities, plus the plots, characterization and productions are actually well done.
OMGGG yessss, he should've stayed dead. XL endgame would've been a perfect dreamy ending, with the two of them exploring the deep sea and scattered islands!
IM COLORBLIND i cant emotionally unattached myself to cang xuan hes so cooli am so attracted to cx and xy's relationship.…
Yes! When I first watched LYF, I was most engrossed with CX and XY. (Later on I realized XL impacted me even more than CX, so I switched to rewatching clips of XL/XY lol). But I just rewatched the entire series again recently, and I still really love CX with his unwavering love and loyalty to XY. It was really heartwarming that he preferred to lose out on Central Plains support instead of letting XY's assassins escape punishment. The way they protect each other is absolutely precious.
