A slow-burner that hits the right notes to form its beautiful ending. Every character is highly relatable in real life. I really enjoyed this a lot! But I'm not sure about Jung Hae In's acting. I've not watched many of his shows. He reminds me of Nam Ji Hyun. Stiff and has very limited facial expressions. Anyway, I look forward to the cast's future works.
It started off so well! Then it started to become draggy. I finished it, but I ended up with a 'meh!' at the end. I like how Lee Joon Hyuk has improved as an actor, but Nam Ji Hyun still carries that stiff facial expression (which is a waste! I've liked her since Queen Seon Duk). Anyway, moving on...

Would anyone recommend this drama if you're ok with skipping (I generally skip everything w/o the main leads)…
I forgot to mention the second ML! (That's how forgettable he is - like my flabby tummy is probably more fluid than his facial expression!) Anyway, the typical, predictable second ML, minus the angst.

I took 4 hours to skip through the whole thing. At first, ML has the worst personality of the century. But it got better after he lost his memory and became Tong Hao. Then he became a jerk again after his second accident and reverted back to Shan Junhao. By then, he's already had shadows of Tong Hao. (lalidi ladida... FL and ML save the company, ML hands it over to the last person you'd think he would, goes back to Guan Mei village and the last scene is a wedding by the beach - anyway, this is a super short summary. You'd need to watch, or rather skip for more details). Fair and Garvey share an okay on-screen chem (nothing spectacular - but I still felt the sweetness of the two lovebirds when they share their lovey-dovey time together. [That's the only reason how I lasted till the end actually!]
As for Yun Yi and Zi Qian, my god, don't get me started on them! Ugh! Anyway, if you do watch it, you'll know what I mean {like birds of a feather flock together?} Overall, the given rating here is way too high! The show is forgettable, in my opinion. 4.5 or 5.0 from me. [If it wasn't for Fair Xing, I wouldn't even try to attempt this at all]
This is too slow to my liking. Still, I sat through it, just for PMY. And of all the many MLs she's paired with, I really can't feel it between PMY and SKJ. Maybe it's the story that I'm disengaged from. Maybe it's both lead's chemistry. Anyway, it felt painful to watch to the end. Instead, I enjoyed all the side characters. Looking forward to PMY's next work.
While this show hit me at some scenes (actually, mainly Yo Han's CIPA scenes), everything else felt kinda dizzy as the show went on. It feels kinda spotty and I'd wish there's much more solid parts to it, considering how well the cast acted out their roles. Maybe I was comparing to the emotional build-up to Romantic Dr Kim S1, but for some reason, this falls way behind. But I still finished it, though I can't seem to take Lee Se Young seriously as FL material, yet.
Such a heartwarming plot, though it started off really slowly. It kinda reminded me of my teachers back in school. The ones who helped shaped who I am today. I enjoyed the show, but unlikely to rewatch. Big thank you to the cast for this lovely show. :)
Watching this recently on TV, I've never been so frustrated by a HKdrama in a long, long time. Well, aside from the shitty Forensics Heroes 4 (which I've dropped after watching the first 30 mins of episode 1), I never realized how poor HKdramas are in recent years. How unfortunate!
I am like you ... The first is the BETTER. I dont have the courage to see all, i dropped it.
I basically skipped through it. I like the ML and I feel like it could work with the FL but I'm not feeling it at all. Unlike S1 which I could invest emotionally, this was pretty much a touch-and-go kinda feel. Hopefully, better luck next time with S3!
As always, the first is always the best! And that's how I came to be a fan of Zhang Ruo Yun too! Sigh, I don't even know what have I been watching... I ended up finish watching, for the sake of finishing? At least it served as a filler in between my other shows.
