The first time I saw him on the small screen was his debut drama, New Tales of Gisaeng! Not only it was a long 52-episode weekend drama (think makjang / Princess Aurora-crazy [I followed week-by-week till the end!] | (this was also where Im Soo Hyang shot to fame due to her role!)), he did really well in that show! I think I liked his next character best in Oh My Venus. Other than that, I do think he's got more hit-or-miss ones, rather than solid, memorable ones. I hope he'll be able to find a show which truly showcases his potential as an actor. Till then, I should really binge-watch I Live Alone, just for him! Haha
This really popped out of nowhere and seems to feature a lot of the actors and actresses that I like! I wonder…
I just caught up with the first two episodes on iQiyi and I have to say, it's so relatable! Maybe it's because it's my age. Maybe it's the cast. I hope this show ends on a positive note!
I remember watching this on my local TV (TV3 in Malaysia) when I was growing up. I swear, JDramas then were my thing. Then Kdrama became the IT-thing. Oh well, this sure brings back many wonderful memories of me sitting in front of the telly, waiting for a new episode every other week! Thanks for this little reminder :)
ML is really handsome but the FL has these big eyes that kinda creeps me out whenever the camera zooms in! But overall, it was an enjoyable short drama. Anything under 30 (for CNdramas) is always just nice.
Happy to find A Piece of Your Mind enthusiast like me^_^.I Guess your preference is more like soft hearted shows…
I'm really glad to be able to find someone who understands my choice in shows. A lot of people heavily recommended the rest of the dramas (as what you have listed above) to me based on their likes of the actor, but if I'm not feeling it, sorry, it won't work for me.
Now that I see it, I am really looking forward to watching Just Between Lovers this weekend. :)
So many interesting dramas coming up! Thanks for this list! I'm marking down my calendars! In the near term, I have some high expectations for Mystic Pop-Up Bar. Hopefully, it lives up to its trailers!
Lee Se Young sure is being heavily promoted these days ay? Unfortunately, I still don't feel like she's lead quality, yet. Shin Sung Rok is likely to hard carry this show! Hope it goes well.
This was such a great drama on the dark side of society, even back in 2013! I wish there are more of these kind of shows that are as real and amazing as this one. Absolutely memorable, even in 2020!
NGM, KBC and CWY! I love how the acting of these veteran actors! All ruthless, yet so charismatic! I cannot wait for S2! Also, I watched Itaewon Class first, before this show. I found Nara's acting way better here than in IC. Or maybe it's just me =/
This drama is still entertaining, now that I've rewatched it for the second time. IU has really matured in her acting while Yeo Jin Goo is such a versatile actor. I enjoyed this very much. :)
This story is seriously deep, agonizing, and to a certain extent, painful to watch. Yet, this sort of happening does indeed happens in real life: domestic abuse, stalking, obsession, pride and ego, and all the ugly side of humanity. But will time heal? Personally, it does. And it requires a lot of strength to let go and release. I think this show appeals to all young teens to adults to the elderly is because we see ourselves in some snippets of these complicated lives. Never have I watched a kdrama and yelled "WTF" at my laptop after every episode! This show requires some form of rationality, whether as a form of entertainment from a viewer standpoint or someone who can relate via past or even current experiences. Thank you jTBC, the strong and solid casts' acting, and the director's notion to keeping this 19+. I have watched it well. Now, I would like to step off this stressful train and brace my heart.
Up till ep 15, after all the tension that has built up, all I feel is being stressed! I cannot imagine how this show will end! *prays to the drama gods* I swear I will flip a table if this ends badly!
Thanks for sharing that bit though! China has such high production level that it almost feels likes winning the lottery to have shows being aired in a year! I wish they can produce and air more efficiently =/
