Super slow burner! I had to watch it at 2x speed to get through the entire show. But I still completed it. Now waiting for more Love Is Sweet episodes...
Allergy to tears? That's new to me, in dramaland! Bai Lu and Leo's onscreen chemistry are really off the charts! iQiyi is also posting behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube, and seriously, they're both so cute together! And I really love how, for the love of dramas, that Leo is NOT the second lead in this show! I can't wait for more episodes to come out. I hope this show doesn't suck towards the end. *fingers tightly crossed*
Ah, I've seen the actress in Duang Jai Nai Fai Nhao. She's quite versatile though I find her relatively unknown. Anyway, as long as it's James Ji's lakorn, I'd watch all of them anyway. Hopes this comes out soon!
Ratings wise The King with LMH, Melting Me Softly with JCW and this drama are for the Korean tv stations underperformers.…
Yeah, you have some good points there. The hype and expectations vs the storyline can be quite burdensome to balance too. But I have noticed how Korean audiences have entirely different taste in dramas, unlike international viewers. Sometimes, what we like and enjoy is what they find boring and lousy
Personally, I'm waiting for more of the show to come on air first, before investing my time in this. I am a fan of Kim Soo Hyun since Moon Embracing The Sun and Seo Yeji looks terrific in here. I hope the plot holds well till the end, like how I found Soul Mechanic to be a hidden gem despite its low ratings.
P.S.: I've come across an article saying how Lee Min-ho, Kim Soo Hyun and Ji Chang Wook are failing miserably with all their comebacks. Which made me sad. Cuz I like their acting. But I couldn't agree more as to how inconsistent their latest works have been (starting with The King: Eternal Monarch which turned out to be a complete waste of my time).
I dropped The Untamed halfway, and ended up to watch the ending, just to see what happened in the end. That show was seriously not my cup of tea no matter how hard I tried. I'm glad that there were so many people who found it really good. Well, unlucky me, I guess
I really like this lakorn. But honestly, it's really hard to invest in the on-screen couple (not just this lakorn, but on most lakorns) because you know these stars are dating or married to either side's best friends and that, I found myself unable to invest completely as an audience, unlike Kdramas or even CNdramas. But this plot is solely planned for Mark and Mew specifically. I can't think of other actors and actresses to fill the role. This was an enjoyable 15-episode lakorn! :)
I've seen everything here and they are all so amazing in their own genres! I enjoyed every one of them. I have to say, Extracurricular stood out though. Not only it was a school-setting drama, but it's more real than it seems. The cast did a fantastic job themselves too. That show exceeded expectations tbh.
I love this recommendation of yours! Wow! So many details and so well-thought-out! Love this! I hope this happens! Thanks for this list of crème de la crème! I hope this happens in reality! *fingers crossed*
Of all the versions that I've watched (TW, KR, TH - I'm not into JP dramas), I think I enjoyed this the most! But I feel like the main lead could have more scenes together. Anna and Dylan, as usual, are wasted characters in each version. But grandma here is super cute! Like the TW version too. But what I do like is the portrayal of the stepmom and Zhengren. In other versions, these two characters were mostly sidelined. I like how they get their own arcs and personality. Oh, Anson and Siqi are probably the best scene-stealers in this show!
