YQ-QS has a peculiar type of compatibility chemistry together which I am unable to put into words. To say that I like them together, hmm, not really. To have them apart, is also probably not what I would like to see either. They both seem perfectly imperfect together? Anyway, I enjoyed this series, as is - without expectations from the get-go. Ireine Song definitely is less annoying from when I last saw her in Prince of Tennis and Aaron Deng is definitely much more likable here than in Love of Summer Night (I dropped that halfway - too hard to watch on). I hope they both will be able to star in better shows with better scripts in the future.
Happy ending, as expected. I honestly wanted to like this more since it has both Fair Xing and Alan Yu, but the show went on over half the show to show QH-WY love arc that I kept asking myself when is it QH-LF love arc!? But I'm glad that all's well ends well, though I am kinda miffed at the ending between WY-Princess. Okay, next.
This drama started out so well in the beginning I couldn't wait for the next episode to be subbed. After episode…
Watched in 1.5x fast speed. Not sure what do you mean by dragged on? I thought the story was moving kinda fast in its own right? Currently waiting for the last 2 episodes to come out tomorrow
After awhile, the story kinda lost its meaning and the focus seems to be only on JJ and YS! Which is good, cuz that's what I dig in this show. Also, YS is seriously so mature and understanding of his love for JJ and how he wants her to be, her. This is one super sweet drama that proves that love ain't dead and is very indeed real. I hope someday, Bai Lu and Leo Luo can act in a wuxia or period drama together again. They both have some seriously smooth chemistry between them. Thank you honey. I'm glad the pain is gone and now all's that left is one sweet memory. :)
I watched till episode 6 but the FL is getting more and more annoying after every episode! Should I even continue? I watched the last episode just to see if things improved, yet it felt underwhelming too. I think I'm gonna put this under 'on-hold' and maybe after I'm done with Professional Single, I will jump back into this one again.
What a slow-burner! The first half managed to build me up just nice and warm, then the second-half kinda went downhill from there. Too much time was wasted on in-between scenes and I felt like there weren't enough content to cover the brokenness each of them felt inside (from main to supporting leads) - like the story kept moving on staccato but at a super slow mode. Perhaps the most frustrating is how both leads have so much potential to build on one another yet I somehow felt disconnected from the two in the second half of the show. I guess the only comfort I have is how cute they both look together, and that's all. Either way, there are some parts I could relate to personally, so I guess not all is a loss.
Hyeri is leaving Amazing Saturday, after being on the show for 3 years now, with her last shoot will be in Nov'2020! But Taeyeon to join, while Key and Hanhae to rejoin the cast, filling in for Hyeri. Hyeri said she'll be concentrating on her acting. I will miss her presence on the show: the ace. I hope the new casts can hold the show well.
I really want to binge watch this now but MGTV hasn’t completed the subs yet. Good to hear that it ended well…
For some reason, skinship isn't what I truly looked forward most to (unlike in Love Is Sweet), I mean, skinship is a must when portraying a relationship [there's a healthy dose of it in this show as our leads grow together], but it was more towards personal growth that captured me most and it was what I enjoyed most in this show. I think some people could find this a slow-burner (it's all down to personal preference), but I am glad I found this gem.
Actually, if it wasn't for Bailing Dijun's crazy obsession, there would be no love story anyway. But that doesn't…
Couldn't agree more. But I don't think I've encountered such irritating villain in a long while now, especially in the CNdrama world. Not to mention, 59 episodes long... =.=
Love story aside, are you seriously, Bailing Dijun!? Are you freaking kidding me!? OMG! =.=" Finally, I made it…
Actually, if it wasn't for Bailing Dijun's crazy obsession, there would be no love story anyway. But that doesn't mean I agree with how the story began, because that character was really testing me to no end and I couldn't have been more annoyed by that character as the show progressed till the end!
Love story aside, are you seriously, Bailing Dijun!? Are you freaking kidding me!? OMG! =.=" Finally, I made it till episode 59.. While the journey to completion wasn't exactly a smooth one, I am glad I stuck to it till the end, to only have the ending kinda slap me in the face. Sigh. Anyway, I will relish this memory, solely on how deep Si Feng's love is for Xuan Ji, life after life, and really stuck by her no matter what. I wish I could find a Si Feng for myself in real life too
I love it! The ending was just perfect! I really like how the story wraps up really nicely in the end. Yun Shu probably has the most character growth, while Si Nian is in second place (he grew a lot too, and grew so well!). Each secondary characters has their ups and downs but nothing overly done nor overwhelming. I really enjoyed all 24 episodes! This show exceeded my expectations!
He better receive the harshest punishment of all! If it wasn't him who created Zhan Shen, man, the whole mess wouldn't even have happened! Omg! He's so frustrating!
Oh? No ratings yet? Its trailer popped up on iQiyi when I was stalking Love is Sweet and it's Kido Gao! Ah, 44 eps? Wonder if I should start this show now... =/
Watched up till ep 42, perhaps the most frustrating character of all is Hao Chen! Gosh ~ ! I hope the ending will wrap up all the frustration properly.
