If he's whipped he should give him a main role for a change! ๐
I'm watching Everlasting Longing and Study Group, so nothing with WD. In the last month I watched most of his works tho, I only have Ice Fantasy and Yes! Mr. Fashion (I didn't plan on watching this one) left.
I really wanted to watch his interviews and variety shows, but like I said, I couldn't understand anything. Hopefully, that machine translation will make it at least understandable.
I'm really looking forward to the Immortal Ascension!

Noup, I haven't seen Ice Fantasy yet. I want to finish these two dramas I'm watching right now, and then I'll check it out.
I've already seen LORD 1 & 2. His role wasn't big, but it was interesting & I liked the movies in general.
Are his interviews translated? I tried searching on YT, but nothing is translated into English and I don't understand Mandarin. ๐ I'll check it out tho. Thanks!
Somehow i think that Vin Zhang as a villainous character is more attractive and interesting for me. ๐
Yeah, I don't know what it was, but he was so attractive as a demon. It's probably a combination of the hair, different makeup and coloured lenses + his domineering 'no nonsense' attitude.
From my perspective, although the time travel and changes to the past and present make it difficult to fully comprehend,…
Hmm, the way I see it, they gave us a few clues and left it up to us to draw our own conclusions about what happened and how. CDramas like to do that. I've learned not to expect too much from this genre when it comes to logical consistency or detailed, cohesive world-building. For example, the way the ML in Moonlight Mystique came back to life at the end, or how the ML in The Longest Promise died, turned into a petal, and returned a year later, or how the FL in TTEOM went back in time, none of that made sense to me and couldn't really be explained logically. But what mattered to me were the vibes, the magic, and everything that came with it. ๐ I totally understand your frustration, though. I was a bit annoyed with the whole 'TMS destroying himself' part, because it was such an obvious plothole, but in the end I found the message behind that action more important.
And you're welcome, I guess. Sorry I couldnโt be of more help in that regard.

The whole TMS destroying the Book of Fate is a plothole. He needs to exist in order for things not to change. That's why I said it would make sense only if he was to reincarnate.
Actually, ZM already has that part of his soul that was XXC. The one CP sent into reincarnation cycle was the part of the past ZM's soul, and that ZM died together with HT. That part of him stayed inside CP and she later did what she did.
When TMS destroyed the Book of Fate that may have allowed for things to change and happen differently from the original timeline (with the base that they set 10 000 years ago), but they would still need NXY/TMS to be alive.
I don't remember them saying his imprisonment was eternal. He just needed to be imprisoned until the time HT showed up. Like I said, all of this doesn't make much sense when you think too hard about it, because the time looping would be endless & time traveling doesn't make sense. ๐คฃ If you can't accept the story as it is, that's okay, it's true that there are plotholes. I personally can ignore logical inconsistencies and work around what they gave us to make some sense of it all.
From my perspective, although the time travel and changes to the past and present make it difficult to fully comprehend,…
Yes. This is ZM who already merged with XXC. He was imprisoned, but in the end we are shown the current timeline that is 10 000 years after his imprisonment. Since 10 000 years have passed, he is free again, just like he got free the first time around.

As I mentioned in my original reply, it seems that two timelines merged after 10 000 years. They probably kept it vague because time travel is inherently difficult to explain logically, especially when it involves changing the past and everything that comes with it. However, itโs clear that XXC who appeared there is the original ZM who was sealed 10 000 years ago. There's also the issue of time loops that often arise in these storylines, but I assume that after TM destroyed the Book of Fate (or after HT was killed), that ceased to be a problem. XXC/ZM had demon powers because he was originally a demon (because that's the version of him that jumped to another timeline/the past), but his personality is more like XXC/original ZM, as heโs finally at peace with himself and the world.
Like I said, not all of it makes 100% sense, but I think they gave us enough material to make some sense of what & how it happened. After all, I have yet to see a xianxia storyline that logically makes sense.

Because in order for everything to work out, they need both timelines intact. The past should repeat itself so the present in which HaonTian possesses ZM can happen. If they change things in the past, the present timeline will change, and it won't be possible to have two Hao Tians fight each other. The part with Tian Ming is a plothole in my opinion. He destroyed himself, but in the original timeline TM also went to the mortal world where he kept reincarnating as a human. He may have reincarnated again after destroying the Book of Fate, idk.
What evil magic? I don't understand what you mean by that.
It'll be explained later. I could tell you, but do you really want a spoiler? Waiting to discover it through the…
Sang Qi did attack at the same time, and he killed a lot of people, but XXC fought as well. He was trying to save MXL. The past events will be shown later, so it won't stay unexplained/vague.
What type of main role and drama would you like to see him?
Something where he's happy, or at least has a happy ending. ๐ He's really good at playing morally grey characters (and I LOVE that) but I would like to see him in some role where he's nice and innocent. That suits him too. I don't really have any specific ideas on my mind tho.
so I just finish this masterpiece and I read comments either, but I need a clear explan for the Last minutes of…
From my perspective, although the time travel and changes to the past and present make it difficult to fully comprehend, the two timelines ultimately merged. ML was sealed 10 000 years ago, and after those 10 000 years, the two timelines, one with the original MXL and the other with ZM/XXC, came together. We can assume that everything that happened earlier in the series likely repeated (the way ZM was released, for example), but this time without Hao Tian, as he was killed. Just don't think too hard about it, though. Take it as it is. The more you try to understand it, the less it makes sense. ๐
And also, I have to say a few words about Wang Duo, because he's the reason I started watching this. He won me…
All those clues/details literally flew right over my head. ๐
But yeah, the ending in general felt kinda rushed with the whole war thing happening. I actually didn't even understand who ML actually was, like were they (GZ and ML) from the same dynasty/cousins or was the Empress they talked about from the previous dynasty; and he kinda gathered the army and supporters, but the current king sent GZ to fight against someone else. I was so lost towards the end. ๐คฃ

But for real though, every time he 'confessed', I was just like, "Bro, please don't. You'll just be rejected again. Please reconsider. ๐ฅฒ" I loved their scenes too, but I felt bad for him because it was clear she didnโt like him, yet he kept trying.
Oh, so the ML didnโt die? I honestly thought he did. What was the third wish, him becoming a king? Now I'm sad, season two would have been amazing! ๐ญ
I also love Nan Xu Yue, beating the other 2 characters too! Thanks for depicting his character so well above.
Thank you! โค๏ธ Yeah, NXY really was the most interesting character here. I love how they made him so layered and complex, when they had the option to just turn him into a typical antagonistic SML. Wang Duo also had a big role in all of it. His portrayal was excellent!

When it comes to C-Dramas, Iโve always preferred costume/period dramas and rarely watched modern ones; but after seeing Inference Notes, Iโm really eager to see more of him in modern genres. He has such a unique look, especially with his slightly longer hair. I just love it! ๐
Oh, haha. Fingers crossed for the same to happen here! We really need a miracle.
