I didn’t find any of these characters unlikeable. They were deeply flawed (especially Jira and Koh), but I think that’s actually what I liked most. The sheer dysfunction of their relationship and their opposing perspectives/worldviews made it compelling. The BGM was beautiful and perfectly fitting, and the overall artistic vibe really made the whole project stand out. It felt both very grounded and realistic, AND achingly artsy. After Not Me, it’s my second favourite OffGun work.

That's alright. A lot of these dramas have some funny episodes/moments, but I need something angsty and dramatic as well in order to enjoy them. Good to know it'll get darker later on!
I didn’t really like this when I first watched it, but now I’m tempted to watch season 2 just for Pavel. Problem is… I forgot the plot. Also, why did I think Babe was the top when everyone says it’s Charlie?? What show did I watch?? Or is my memory really that bad 😭😂

As you have seen, all of them ended up having miserable lives. But, when Hwan jumped from that platform by the sea he was offered a choice to go back in time and save his friends. He time traveled, and that scene with all of them on the beach is the past he's reliving. In the original story (Save Me webtoon) he gets stuck in a time loop and it takes many attempts before he manages to save all of them.
As for Jaeha in the drama adaptation. I'm not sure what happened to him in the end. What they've shown us is very vague and while there are some similarities with the original story, it's also very different. In the original story Jaeha doesn't find the notebook and like Cein he also commits suicide. In the drama he jumps from the same platform Hwan jumped, but I'm not sure why. Was he jumping for no reason, was he trying to commit suicide (in the original story he jumped from the building) or will he time travel like Hwan, I don't know. The notebook in the original story was written by Hwan's father, not the man whose body was found on the beach, and it was not found by Jaeha. So yeah, I'm not sure what they had in mind when they made those changes.
But in the original story it was implied that Hwan's father also had the ability to time travel but he himself failed to save his friends and later lost his memories (they kept some of that in the drama).
But anyways, what's important is that Hwan went back in time to fix their lives/destinies. I hope it answers some of your questions.
Am I the only one lost in all these cases and names? I was following along at first, but in the last few episodes I’m honestly not sure what’s going on anymore, LOL. Still enjoying it, though.
The only thing that kept me from dropping it were Ogwi and Mirr, I wanted to know what exactly happened to them in the past. The rest was just a combination of boring characters, repetitive fights and vapid dialogue. It’s actually impressive how hard they fumbled this one.

Despite the alternate ending, I’m still sticking with the original one as the real ending. Either way, I’m glad Bai Xiaoling was sentenced in both versions, because the girl was unhinged. Zeng Jie was a huge red flag and deserved to be punished for the murder of his first wife, but the way BXY acted (planning a murder for a full year or more, carrying it out so cold-heartedly, and deliberately enduring everything just to ruin him) was also a massive red flag. There’s no version where she doesn’t deserve to be punished as well.
This was interesting! Wang Duo's character was such a red flag, but he played it so well! I love when actors aren't afraid to take on these villainous roles. 8.5/10

I actually preferred how The Blossoming Love handled things too. Even though people complained, at least it had some internal logic. This one felt so random, and the whole time-travel aspect just wasn’t believable.
I also really dislike how in the end only Tang Lici got the short end of the stick while everyone else, including that harpy Xi Fang Tao, got a happy ending. It was just completely unsatisfying to the core!
Time-travel and timeline-changing plots are always tricky, because they’re almost guaranteed to stop making sense at certain point, and after watching the final episode, I was disappointed, not gonna lie. I usually love a good tragedy, and I’m all for main leads sacrificing themselves when it’s done well, but this time it just left me frustrated instead of moved.
That said, I do still like the drama overall. It triggered that very specific obsessive streak in me, and during the airing I literally dreamt about it. The dysfunctional chaos between Tang Lici and Liu Yan was incredibly satisfying, the Zhoudi Tower tragedy was hauntingly beautiful, and Leo Yunxi in the main role was absolutely breathtaking.
It’s just… the ending left a sour taste in my mouth.
