Haha, thanks! I tried to make it easy to understand while covering everything that happened. It makes me a little sad when people say the ending wasn't good or didn't make sense, I actually think it was really well thought out. 😭

ML, FL, and 2ML eventually joined forces to defeat Hao Tian. Their plan was for 2ML and FL to use their powers to create a space exempt from time and space, while ML allowed himself to be possessed. This would enable the possessed ML from the past to fight the possessed ML from the present, ultimately allowing them to kill Hao Tian, since they wouldn’t have been able to otherwise (only HT can kill HT). The plan succeeded, with 2ML sacrificing himself, and the ML from the past dying because he was weaker than the ML from the present (the past ML lacked the fragment of the soul that later became XXC, while the present ML had it restored).
The present ML then had to take the place of his past self, enduring another 10 000 years of imprisonment, while the FL from the past had to repeat the same process that had been done 10 000 years ago, to prevent any changes to the present and ensure that everything leading to the final battle with Hao Tian stayed the same.

The final scene shows the present, 10 000 years later, where ML is free and now represents a version of himself in which ZM and XXC have merged. He retains XXC’s memories and personality, but has the body and powers of a demon. After sealing ML again, in the past, 2ML destroyed the Book of Fate (and himself?), believing it was no longer necessary, as people would now be the creators of their own destinies/fates. It’s unclear whether he later reincarnated as a human, but I believe he had to be, because he needed to exist for the plan against Hao Tian to succeed.

Whichever you prefer. 😂 It's an open ending, so I've seen people interpret it both ways. From what I remember, the novel's ending was a happy one.

I can finally see how hard it is to follow an actor who isn't that popular on the international side. I wanted to watch his interviews and videos, but nothing I find is translated into English 😭

Still wasn't funny and I hate how they used it as comic relief. If the roles were reversed, no one would've found it funny.

I remember there was one female character who kept beating her husband, and everyone thought it was hilarious. By my personal standards that's pretty bad, and not something I want to watch.

I haven't started watching because I was "afraid" that in this type of drama there would be a lot of what you just described. I hated New Life Begins for the same reason. 😐 Anyway, now I know what not to watch.

I waited so long for Jing Yuan to finally show up, only for them to get rid of him after just one episode. Such a letdown, honestly.

That being said, I have to praise the episode in which Fan Yue dies. Both of them acted their hearts out, it was so good!

He basically took her away and had 2 in 1 wedding & funeral LOL. It wasn't a serious wedding, and ML crashed the "wedding" anyway so it was never even mentioned after that one scene.
You're safe, don't worry. SML will get a bit obsessive, but he won't be able to do anything.

- She was never with SML. 💀 And the marriage thing wasn't consensual, nor did it matter in any way, shape or form after that one scene.
- ML died for FL, but he was basically only a tiny part of someone else's soul. After his death that part returned to its original owner and he had all of ML's memories.

I think I lost interest after what happened to Mu Jiu, and ever since then I've been struggling to finish it. I didn't even like Mu Jiu that much, but the whole sequence of events really pissed me off.
I love the main leads and their relationship, especially Fan Yue (gosh, ARP is stunning in this role) and I will finish it, but I just wish I was enjoying it more. In fact, I enjoy it while I'm watching, but I have no desire to play the next episode afterwards. 😩

The whole fish soup situation in ep. 6 was messed up. Gosh! I can see this is going to be dark and I'm here for it.

TBL. In MM I like the ML, but everyone else tends to annoy me from time to time and I don't like how they killed off so many side characters.

I rewatched ep. 39 because of Feng Yao and TMS. It was so touching! 😭

Yeah, I like it so far. The opening song is really nice, and Gong Zi looks like a type of character I will love.
I plan to later check out some of his other works where he's a supporting character too. I'm smitten. 😂

Since the explanation was a bit vague, and TMS would need to stay alive for them to repeat everything again, I prefer to believe he’ll be reincarnated rather than completely destroyed LOL
