I hope you at least liked the slice of life part of it. I think the time travelling aspect is fun, but what I love about this story are their personal stories and struggles combines with friendship. The angst is just delicious 😂

I can't say I understood all of it (especially Jaeha's part in the last episode) but Hwan basically went back in time to save all of them.

In the original story he gets stuck in a time loop and all his attempts fail because someone always gets hurt in the end. I forgot what happens after that and whether he succeeds in the end, but at one point Jaeha also gets involved in the whole time travelling thing.
Anyways, the important thing is that Hwan went back in time and he'll try to fix the future.

If you're interested in the direct continuation of the story you can read Save Me webtoon (in the webtoon characters have different names and there are some minor differences because this drama changed some of their fates, f.ex. in webtoon Jaeha/Jungkook also dies).

Jooan, Haru and Cein. I can't say I like them more than the rest, but their fragility and brokenness spoke to me. The actors portrayed their emotional breakdowns so realistically 💔 and I like angst so ...

I think that the fire incident parts from the beginning of each episode are from a different timeline, but the theory many people talk about (that the whole drama is one of his many loops) is confusing because it didn't look like one of the loops until the last episode when Jaeha found the notebook. It also didn't look like he was aware that he's in the past (IF he was). Thinking about it makes me feel dumb 😩 LOL

Yeah, second season would definitely be needed to clear the whole time travelling issue, but as far as I'm concerned that part with Jaeha and notebook didn't happen 😂 and Hwan is the only one who's time travelling. I don't even think it's possible to understand what's happening with the material we currently have.

I'm familiar with BU, but if the whole drama was one of the many time loops Hwan went through, was he not aware that he was in one or were we not shown that he's aware? And what was his attempt to save them in this specific loop? Dogeon's fire incident? Not gonna lie, thinking about the whole time traveling issue hurts my brain 😩

Finally finished it!
I like the ending. The arrangement of the last two episodes was somewhat confusing with Cein's sudden suicide and then retrospective 'explanation', but I like how they finished it on a positive note. You get the feeling that Hwan will succeed in saving them 🙃

The acting from all 7 actors was just amazing. These characters are demanding, but watching them act felt like watching veteran actors. Jooan, Haru and Hwan stood out because their characters were more expressive, but all of them did a really good job.

I'm also happy with the changes they made. I love original BU storyline, but these small changes work just fine. They kept the essence of the story and that's all that matters to me.

What you're saying would make sense in normal circumstances, but everything about this drama is abnormal. It's true we should keep our hopes low tho, better not to be disappointed later.

Yeah, I think that (in the beginning of each episode) IS Hwan. It's probably one of the future time loops, because none of the other boys know him.
Jooan's dreams happen in one of the two last episodes (haven't seen them yet). I'll just gaslight myself into not believing in that theory because I don't like it LMAO. I want this to be their first meeting and first life.

Same. I'm keeping the last two episodes for tomorrow. I thought this was the beginning of the story and introduction to the whole time loop plot, but that person (who wrote the theory) mentioned how Jooan already has the weird dreams (he got those after time loop started) and how Hwan already showed signs of losing his memories and it all makes sense....

I'll have to rewatch the whole drama now 🤣

I've seen a thread on twitter with some theory that this whole drama is one of Jin's/Hwan's (failed) time loops where he doesn't succeed in saving them and I feel SICK. I need them to be happy so bad 😭

No problem. There is no official OST album (to answer your question more specifically) and I haven't seen any info about the instrumental compositions they played throughout the show. The actual songs that were used are the ones I mentioned tho.

It's about a group of troubled boys who become friends and find comfort in each other. Some of them have mental issues and unhealed trauma, some are poor and victims of family abuse, some are victims of their families' expectations. Basically, they're all miserable but when they're together they feel happy.
A lot of the drama is focused on that relationship between the 7 of them, but there is also a touch of mystery (regarding their parents) and fantasy (at one point time traveling happens). I hope that helps you. I didn't want to go into spoilers.
