My brain hurts from trying to figure out who's in whose body and in which timeline. They finally explained it now (ep. 9) but I'm afraid they'll complicate everything again 😂
Do i need to watch S1 to fully get whats happening in S2..or can I skip s1 nd just start s2 instead thinking its…
I would say you have to watch season 1 to understand what's happening in season 2, it's a direct continuation. The experience of watching LJG will also be better because you'll understand his characters.
I cracked up that people complained about the weapons, etc. not being historically accurate as this is not "true,…
Literally. There are made up species of humans with blue and purple blood and special powers and they complain about clothes not being historically accurate, like be serious please. People just like complaining I guess.
I watched only two episodes and I like it so far, they didn't disappoint. The costumes are quite shabby, compared to the first season's costumes I don't like them. And yeah, I know about the "historically accurate" or whatever explanation but still.
Lee Joon Gi is really good in this role. I do admit that I keep wondering how it would look with Song Joong Ki, but that's because I fell in love with his interpretation of these characters. If I ignore my subjective feelings, LJG is amazing.
Fighting and battle scenes are done really well. I only watched two episodes but I'm enjoying it so much!
I don't really vibe with the new actress who plays TanYa, I feel like the previous one was much better, but there's still time for her to change my mind.
All in all, I'm so glad that I love it. Arthdal Chronicles was one of my favourite k-dramas and the second season is living up to my expectations.
This was amazing! The only thing I didn't like were FL's outfits, they were atrocious & I really don't understand the need to make her look THAT bad, but generally speaking it was irrelevant when it comes to the quality of the drama.
The last episode wrapped everything so nicely that I had to add 0.5 to my original rating.
This was actually super enjoyable until the last episode when all the plotty parts started showing serious inconsistencies. The comedy was amazing tho! I binged the whole show in one day and I don't remember the last time I had desire to watch more that 2-3 episodes per day, so I'll rate this 8.5 despite its flaws.
I really hoped that someone in the show would address that. And how basically, he only gave Eun Su the death sentence,…
Exactly! It's not even her death that makes me angry, but the fact that everyone forgave the king even though he tried his hardest to bend the law and sentence his "friend's" sister to death, and then that friend just conveniently forgot and forgave and continued being all buddy buddy with him. I honestly wanted to lower the rating because that alone frustrated me to no end. Like you said, it's ridiculous.
Quick simple question: Happy or sad ending?…I don’t mind spoilers but with respect for those who do, please…
It's an open ending, you can think of it both ways.
SPOILER
Shi Ying dies in order to defeat the villain, but after 1 year time skip the petal he turned into after death takes his human form and he and Zhu Yan meet again. It ends after that so some people take it as him coming back, but some are more doubtful.
The king is probably the only character I despise in this drama. Others may be corrupted and evil, but they at least own it. The way he had Kang Han Su attend his sister's trial & read her verdict tho, that was just sickening. Rotten to the core.
I love Lee Jong Gi and I think he's a great actor, but I'll miss Song Joong Ki's Eunseom and Saya, and I also don't really like the whole timeskip. Things just got interesting at the end of 1st season and they skip a whole decade...
I'll try to watch with an open mind tho, they may yet surprise me.
