I'm curious, how many of his dramas have you watched to be so certain of that?

It's an open ending I would say, I consider it happy but some are more doubtful.

Right, his "redemption" was done so nicely and all of a sudden he returned to his old ways and became even more unstable and rotten, and then in the end he 'forgot' about everything and just became happy. 0 consistency.

I wanted to lower the rating because of that but I couldn't force myself because the main couple was just too lovable, lol.

They kinda ruined Du Lei's character in the last 6 episodes, dude went batshit crazy, which is pity because I liked him. I also didn't like Xu Li, she was annoying and pesky.

The chemistry between main leads was insane tho. I really like them as a couple. 8.5/10

Uhh, it appears in earlier episodes when he's shown in battle but I don't remember the exact episode, but you can se a bit of it in ep 33 (ending) and 34 (beginning) where he's wounded and his lips are painted blue with blood 😅

He left priesthood in later episodes and they got married.

There's no tail (unfortunately 😅) the only difference is that he has blue blood instead of red.

I see everyone saying it's sad and that they cried but is the ending sad? I want to watch this with my family but they don't want stories with sad endings so I need to know that the ending will be satisfying 😅

Nah, even though he schemes a lot he loves Shi Ying and doesn't want to hurt him.

How is the ending? Is it happy? Just yes or no is enough, I don't want spoilers 😅

Bai Xue Lu and Qing Gang & Shi Yu and Bai Xue Ying

ML and FL fight together against the villain, ML wants to sacrifice himself in order to beat the villain (who possessed him) so he asks FL to kill him, which she does, and they successfully save the country. One year later the petal that ML turned into when he died transforms into his human form and the drama ends with him and FL lovingly gazing at each other. A lot of people interpret it as a happy ending.

I felt so bad for Johan's brother T_T

The fighting scenes were really questionable, the whole sped up thing just looked bad.

It was fun to watch tho.

Not really. There are some communist/patriotic slogans in the background (like written on the walls and such) but it didn't feel like contemporary propaganda, just something that was normal at the time in which they lived.

It's kinda similar to Love Between Fairy and Devil, but less clear. It's implied that one of the leads comes back, but it's not actually explained how, lol. I don't want to spoil it too much for you, but the ending definitely can be seen as happy.

Talking about possible future roles and spreading leaks is NOT the same thing.
MDL is a site where drama watchers get together to discuss dramas/movies. Just because we like some actor and follow his career doesn't mean we have to praise all of his works. There is a difference between a casual fan and XFX (in my opinion) and we can all get along and talk without insulting each other.

Also, telling someone to "GTFO" isn't just "calling for common sense".

I get where you're coming from and what you're trying to do, but your approach is just offensive and rude.

Yeah, tbh aside from his earliest works I mostly liked all of his dramas. Even Ace Troops and Where Dreams Begin, which I would normally never watch, ended up being good, so I'll just trust in his choices.

Some episodes on WeTV are longer (around 1h30min) so Netflix split those and got 3 additional episodes. There is no difference between Netflix and WeTV version tho.

If you expect and want something like TTOTM you can drop it, I've watched both and they are very different. This is slow-burn and even when they accept the feelings they have for each other their relationship won't be anything like relationship in TTEOTM, Shi Ying is just complete opposite of Tantai Jin and Zhu Yan is still young and 'innocent' and nothing like Ye Xiwu.

As for TLP, the story will get more interesting once they leave the mountain, and I did enjoy the slow-burn of their relationship and steadfastness of Shi Ying's character, but like I said, don't expect it to be like TTEOTM.
