This is the type of show I get obsessive over. It has everything I love - interesting plot & characters, anarchist aesthetic, good bromance, good enemies to lovers romance (kinda), amazing acting, really impressive cinematography. It just has everything!
And although I love White and Sean as a couple, I'm really more invested in relationship between Black and White. I just love how protective they were even after spending so many years apart. Gun really made these two characters distinct, man can ACT!

It's been a few days since I finished it but I keep coming back to it and nothing I start watching keeps my attention.

It was random and not planned. I stumbled upon some edit on YT (which is kinda weird because I haven't watched similar things in the past) and thought the concept of a bully who is saving his victim from other bullies is kinda interesting. That's why I started watching it.

Could be. I haven't watched Thai dramas before, but regardless of the country where it came from I still think this is a good drama. It's not among the best things I've ever watched, far from it, but it's interesting enough and the acting is good and that's enough for me. I'm easy to please, lol.

Feel free to recommend me some other Thai dramas you think are better. I'm open to suggestions.

Is Jang Seon Oh really a bad guy? Did he kill Yo Han's grandmother? I really liked him as a character and this revelation in episode 8 is making me want to drop the whole drama, lol.

I see a lot of people complaining in the comment section, but I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this drama. The relationship between Kang and Sailom is really sweet and I'm enjoying all the cuteness and mild angstiness that they're giving us. Both characters can also stand on their own and have distinct personalities and stories. I like that.

Some other things that I like - how their groups of friends became closer and befriended each other gradually. It's a really nice development. I also like how they portrayed relationship between Kang and his father. Seeing how that type of treatment which would normally look very appealing can negatively impact the kid and parent-child relationship is actually quite refreshing.

It's also my first Thai drama, so I'll definitely pay more attention to stuff that's coming out of Thailand from now on.

I love what Tagon said about civilians, how they're not innocent. As someone who studies history I always thought that mob mentality civilians have is despicable. But what Tanya said after that also made a lot of sense.
One of the reasons why I love this drama is that despite it being fantasy, so much of it reflects real history. It was really fun to watch how writers drew inspiration from real history and how they incorporated it into this fantasy world.

That being said, Arthdal world in season 2 felt kinda narrowed down. I don't know how to explain it, but I think season 1 did much better when it comes to world-building. Still, considering how they only made 12 episodes and they had to resolve everything in those 12 episodes it was okay. I can't say that I'm disappointed.

I just want Saya and Eunseom to survive, everyone else can die at this point for all I care. Tagon and Taealha especially.

He may not be the classic evil villain, but he can't be the hero either. No matter the reason, he killed too many people, carried out a whole genocide, and never really showed any type of remorse for anything he ever did. He thinks it's all necessary because he wants power.

I agree that he is a great character, I don't hate him at all, but if he ends up with power at the end of this show that would not look good.

Is the story of season 1 complete? I see people talking about season 2 and I don't want to watch if they're gonna leave me hanging for years.

Man, that part when Tagon started running after Eunseom and screaming for him to face him and fight was hilarious 🤣

The last two episodes were amazing!

My brain hurts from trying to figure out who's in whose body and in which timeline. They finally explained it now (ep. 9) but I'm afraid they'll complicate everything again 😂

I love those guys from Momo tribe, they were so interesting!

Finally someone who agrees that FL was NOT at fault in this drama. I stopped reading comments in this section because FL bashing was insane.

I would say you have to watch season 1 to understand what's happening in season 2, it's a direct continuation.
The experience of watching LJG will also be better because you'll understand his characters.

Literally. There are made up species of humans with blue and purple blood and special powers and they complain about clothes not being historically accurate, like be serious please.
People just like complaining I guess.

I watched only two episodes and I like it so far, they didn't disappoint. The costumes are quite shabby, compared to the first season's costumes I don't like them. And yeah, I know about the "historically accurate" or whatever explanation but still.

Lee Joon Gi is really good in this role. I do admit that I keep wondering how it would look with Song Joong Ki, but that's because I fell in love with his interpretation of these characters. If I ignore my subjective feelings, LJG is amazing.

Fighting and battle scenes are done really well. I only watched two episodes but I'm enjoying it so much!

I don't really vibe with the new actress who plays TanYa, I feel like the previous one was much better, but there's still time for her to change my mind.

All in all, I'm so glad that I love it. Arthdal Chronicles was one of my favourite k-dramas and the second season is living up to my expectations.
