In which episode does Ming Ye/Sang Jiu arc end?

I don't know how many times I've watched that video today, I'm literally obsessed. The chemistry!!!

I really love the way magic works & is shown in this drama. It's one thing that caught my attention in the last two episodes.

And also interactions between Shi Ying and Zhu Yan! She's really growing on me.

The Youth Memories is very realistic, slice of life type of drama. Not much lovey-dovey romance. If you like that stuff go for it. Objectively speaking, it's a very good drama, but if you're not into that genre you may ger bored.

The Longest Promise is like a fantasy fairytale for now, there will be a lot of angst later on. The production is very good compared to a lot of other xianxias. I love fantasy and costume dramas so I prefer TLP, but both of them are good in their own ways.

Yes, of course. I wasn't trying to say your opinion was wrong, but just to offer another point of view. She was the cause of all her misery, that's true, but I just think no one deserves to be unhappy until the day they die.

I wouldn't say HHL got a happy ending. She had a miscarriage, felt responsible and guilty about it for years and unsuccessfully tried to get pregnant again, abandoned her career for her marriage and then spent years being an unhappy housewife. In the end she got a divorce and returned to her career, true, but it doesn't erase all the bad things that she had to go through because of her choices. I didn't like her either, but I think she actually suffered enough for her selfishness and deserved some respite in the end.

I agree with you about ZY. Some people in the beginning were complaining how her actions concerning crown prince weren't justified and how it's unrealistic for her to want to bring him back to life after knowing him for just one day, but she literally said she thought that him standing up for her is what led to his death in the end. I think it's normal that she would want to help him in any way she can, if nothing else because she feels responsible for what happened. It's a very human emotion.

Umm? I obviously said I'm glad they actually filmed it underwater opposed to OTHER dramas that tend to use CGI.

I hate when they make "underwater" scene but it's so painfully obvious that it's CGI/fake based on the hair/clothes etc. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this was actually done under water.

I don't think so. She asked to comb his hair but the episode ended before anything happened, and her previous attempt was unsuccessful.

I think comments are more indicative of how people think of this drama than ratings, at least at the moment.

I really hope not. I don't want to watch him in only The Youth Memories/Ace Troops type of dramas, I want something spicier.

I think the fact that he chose that movie as his next project is promising. I wouldn't mind more historical roles (with no fantasy elements) either, lol.

Shi Ying/Xiao Zhan really looked like a helpless kid after receiving news about his mother in episode 3. I genuinely could see a heartbroken teenager in his acting.

Also, Zhu Yan may have an annoying voice (according to some people) but Ren Min can act! Not to call out anyone specific but she's a better actress than some of the more popular ones.

IMDB and MDL matter for international audience, it's where we look for new dramas to watch & ratings play a significant role to a good number of people. The ratings on all three are equally sqewed tho.

They generally don't update numbers immediately, it takes at least several hours. I'm not sure how long the intervals between every update are tho.

I haven't watched many student/master romances, if any, but maybe they'll spice it up later in the drama. It's still early to say, in my opinion. Most xianxias I've watched became interesting only around episode 15 😆

It's a trope, like enemies to lovers, friends to lovers etc. There are many dramas and tropes to choose from, no need to watch something you don't like. (I'm saying this in the nicest possible way, don't take it as me trying to be confrontational 😅)
