I love Cheng Yi because of his roles in costume dramas, but I can't wait to see him in this one. Hopefully we won't have to wait for years for them to air it 🙏
He's such a cutie in Love Like the Galaxy (his storyline almost made me cry T.T) and now I see I already watched him with Xiao Zhan in The Winter Dream Promise. I can't believe I didn't recognize him.
Can someone explain to me how Ling Buyi is connected to the emperor? I know he's 'adopted' but why did the emperor adopt him and is he related to Bu Yi's mother? I find the whole situation really confusing.
I only watched a few of her dramas but I love how my opinion of her acting drastically changed over time. I didn't really like her in Oh! My Emperor where I saw her for the first time (although that drama was a shitshow, I only managed to finish it because my favorite actor was in it), but she drew my attention in The Long Ballad and then I watched Who Rules The World where she was good (although the drama itself was a bit disappointing). I feel like her acting in Love Like the Galaxy is on a whole other level tho. She's brilliant!
I like the overall idea, the characters and their relationships, but the pacing is just too slow for my taste. Half of the time it's just them talking about nothing important & there are not that many interesting action scenes. Although, when they finally do show characters fighting or doing their magic it looks amazing.
After refusing to watch it for two years I ended up liking it in the end. It's nothing spectacular, but as far as rom-coms go it's pretty good. I liked the two MLs and their relationship with FL, as well as their backstory with Seyeon. I love stories about strong & tragic friendships.
The acting was good. I've seen a lot of people talking shit about these actors but I think they're both pretty decent. I wasn't awed, but there wasn't a moment when I thought "that was badly acted" either. Lim Joo Gyung's crying made me think that, but other than her crying scenes everything else was alright.
All in all, 8.5. It's a good rom-com. It made me reminisce about my own high school days which I miss so that's definitely a plus.
lol @ the people in comments complaining about him getting lead roles. There are so many dramas coming out and no one's forcing you to watch his works, watch something else if you hate his acting. I'm not a fan but I think he's a decent actor from what I've seen & not everyone has to be an Oscar worthy actor to get a lead role. Get a grip.
Because they make them unnecessarily annoying. They're usually loud & violent and nothing like real life people. I just don't like it. I hope this FL won't be like that tho.
Am I the only one who thinks the monsters are kinda stupid? Idk, I'm at episode two and I can't seem to enjoy…
I also didn't like the monsters, too campy for my taste. It's one of the main reasons why I gave it below 8 rating. I just couldn't take them seriously. The rest was good tho, I liked the overall theme and characters.
This was good! The ending was a bit rushed and could've been done better, but the show as a whole was amazing. The struggle between Kim Hee Woo and his adversaries kept my attention throughout the 16 episodes and it never felt boring or redundant. Kudos for the plot development!
Also, Lee Joon Gi never disappoints. I don't know why people compare this to FoE when they're completely different genres. It makes no sense.
This was rather disappointing. I liked the beginning and the relationship between the main leads but the crucial moments were mostly underwhelming and I didn't like the ending. It felt like everything they did was for nothing. The actors were good tho. It's my first time watching Yang Yang (the guy has a perfect face!), but I've already seen some of Zhao Lusi's works and I like her acting. I'll probably check out their other works. All in all, it was okay, but towards the ending I just wanted to get it over with. 7.5 from me.
I don't usually watch idol actors cdrama but due to how much this drama is talked about internationally and how…
I can't talk about others with certainty but I think most people came to love these actors after watching The Untamed, not the other way around. I do agree it's not a masterpiece because it has its own clearly visible flaws, but it also has its own strenghts that make it so beloved. Tight story being one of them. You need to watch more episodes to be able to appreciate the story tho. As far as I'm concerned the 'real thing' starts with episode 16. You may still end up not liking it & that's also fine, we all have different tastes and criteria.
The beginning was promising but it became absurd and nonsensical the more it moved forward. I wish they toned down the whole Yi Zhou superhero thing, it was so unrealistic that it became funny. The acting was good tho, I'll give them that.

There, I fixed it for you :)
