I don't see how she falls in love with Yan Xun tbqh. She and Yuwen Yue are pretty much in sync lol Maybe…
Considering the summary states that Chu Qiao leaves Yan Xun for YuWen Yue, I'm actually surprise there are YX shipper at all.
While I do like the more relaxed and carefree nature of his and Chu Qiao interactions, watching YuWen Yue squirm around her is fairly entertaining as well.

my heart is not ready for tomorrow
It was considered a proverb when I was growing up, you hear it used in most period cdramas. It's like a chinese version of "Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned", basically a way to insult a woman who's being unreasonable or call a man stupid for doing something that offends a woman because an villain would be more willing to forgive a offence then a woman. Villain isn't exactly the correct word used, but english doesn't have equivalent that I can recall.

Deciding to join the hype and watch this drama seeing the amount of comments here. And we're just 1/3 through…
About ep 5 the story starts to pick up in regards the the main couple, but you don't start getting the bigger backstory on the female lead until about number ep11 this is also when the they start introducing the larger political picture regarding the relationships between the nations and their spy networks. But yeah unless you're a novel or ZZ fan your not going to feel the story has enough going on until ep 16 to keep you interested.
Mostly the comments have been about the various relationships and chemistry between the actors. One of the saving graces for this series is that there is some good chemistry going on between the males actors that is similar to O2O.

my heart is not ready for tomorrow
Just focus on the fact that such a painful parting has to make their reunion later even better,
If the first half of the story has her following after him, and the second half needs to be about him chasing after her, which is only fair. After all there's that ancient Chinese saying, "You can insult a villain, but you should never offend a woman."

is there only one episode coming out today?
Looks like they managed to get the Uncut Ep 18 uploaded and will be subbing it today instead.

I don't know what it is about Zhao Zanilia but I'll give a chance to anything with her in it. It's…
I like most of her films and series too, I think it's that she has good judgement in choosing her projects. They tend to be interesting stories that highlight her acting abilities.
She did have some areas where she was not that great in portraying early on, like crying and being drunk, I'm glad to see that she got better at both during Rookie Agent Rouge, and was able pull off ep 19's crying scenes almost as well as Liu Cecilia could have.

Poor Yan Xun, it looks like they're setting him up as the rebound guy.

I think the summary is more based on the novel then the series, since the scriptwriter have demoted Yan Xun from main lead to second, and added a lot of bonding moments between YuWen Yue and Chu Qiao.

Does anyone know who Xing'er is going to end up with? I'm totally rooting for Yan Xun, but I need to…
She also spends two years talking to a grave marker, when she thought he was dead. i don't know if you would consider that affection.

The entire novel i didnt view Yun Xan as a romantic interest, their relationship came off more as allies in a battle. she was the one who taught him military tactics and how to be a soldier basically, even when she leaves him it wasn't because he married someone else, but because he broke his promises and lied to her about wiping out a village of civilians. While Yue was more her equal and they end up meeting as the leaders of opposing armies.

Second ep has been subbed and uploaded to youtube, they did the tv version instead of the uncut so theres a small gap between 17 and 18

I figured they would have her leave Yue for different reasons then the novels "I hate you and your family for killing my family and I only stuck around this long for revenge". About only 30% of the novel has made it into the series so far, and that 30% is mostly character development and minor encounters, I hope some of the bigger plot lines get kept later in the series.

There some angst-y melodramatic stuff that happens when you separate two people and have them fight on opposing sides. At first she was antagonistic and they pretty much bickered when they meet again, later they fight on the side of opposing armies, and after some more angst-y melodramatic separation she realize how much Yue means to her too and leaves Yun Xan. (from the teasers, opening, and closing scenes, the script writers seems to have kept part of this storyline and I don't want to give away to much).

Anyone is like me who watches the trailer multiple times in waiting for the new episodes?! On the same note, that…
Not trailers, I been re-watching the first 16 eps, because the first 5 times wasn't enough.

If they follow the novel, she has 3 serious suitors.
One Yun Xan who she chooses first (even abandoning YuWen Yue twice for him)
Two YuWen Yue who she chooses last (after Yun Xan breaks her heart and she stops fighting for YanBei)
Three he's a scholar I don't know him by his chinese name and he hasn't appeared yet, but he in turn decided YuWen Yue was the best choice and stepped aside.

However this might end up turning into another Princess WeiYoung where only the names from the book were used and story line was completely different from the book

Thanks again to the lovely friend that provided the link to read the novel I had forgotten that website. On another…
the novel gets better in regards to the cruelly, as the characters grow up they switch to scheming and plotting, less gore. Even Chu Qiao moves on towards military warfare as a way to make her enemies pay instead of killing them herself.

Yuwen Yue pretends to be cold, but he is just a big teddy bear inside.
like how he got so squirrelly when the old man called him out on the matching Lovers Swords.

he's got a cold now so I hope writers kept the part where he turns into a cranky baby when Chu Qiao has to take care of him.

next week episodes look so good. Now the wait begins :((
The teaser shows him helping Chu Qaio remember her past, so I hope he's a ally too, since the last person to recognized her turned out to be a enemy.

Can someone please tell me if in the books she gets her powers back?? It's driving me nuts having to wait.…
About 30% of what is in the series so far (based on ep 1-16) is from the novel, and that's mostly character interactions and development, some things like Yue's feelings towards Xing'er and Princess of Liang's intro was rewritten to occur earlier and in a different context. The rest, including Chu Qaio's past and fighting skills is made up just for the series.

damn to these smexy, broody, unexcitable, unemotional, controlled chinese strategist! I am adding another addiction…
2010 Three Kingdoms, with Chen Jianbin, it focuses more on brotherhood. I didn't finish it, they got to deep into war strategies and I lost interest.
