This is exactly my experience. I was raving about it at first. I LOVED female lead and I adored how they showed her kindness as her strength. But in the second half they focus was far more on her naivety than her goodness, and sadly yes, they did make her dumb, especially in last few episodes. Which was even more annoying, because she was great at first.

Checking completed list is hardly staking, it's better to know who you talk to before you reply to them so you don't talk shit out of your ass.

I honestly see no difference between writing 3 lines comments after each episode about things someone does not like, and writing whole ass review about things you don't like. In both cases you watch shit you don't like till the end and complain about it. Writing these reviews probably takes longer time than these few comments.

It's finally over. Giving 🏅 for the worst last two episodes coz what the fuck was that? I am impressed, amazed, shocked. I did not expect it to be that bad.

🔥 First half, 🗑️ second half.
🙄 The started with good number of fun cliches, ended up with just throwing shit hoping it will stick. It didn't.
🤡 ML was fun, but so fucking stagnant as a character I am amazed by the lack of development.
🥲 FL basically regressed so maybe being stagnant was the better option.
💖 Mother's team was amazing and I wish this was more of a slice of life focusing on them.
👑 ML's mother was Queen.
❓ The way me, characters, writers, directors, producers, viewers and even FL forgot about her problematic sister was a circus itself.
🤣😭 Villains were so bad I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Probably both.
🫂 SFL and SML had more interesting story and dynamics and were honestly better written than leads.
🤬 The way they turned Da Rim's good natural into naivety, making her strength into her weakness.

Me watching the 2nd half be like:

I for sure agree the ending is... sad. I went into it thinking it's gonna be more case by case, but with first flashback to the past events I started to see that there is a larger picture hidden behind these separate puzzle pieces.

Many understand he claims to do it for him, but that's full of bullshit, because if he actually cared for YSL he would leave, since he is the sole reason he wants to kill himself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but he rather just "minimalize" the risk of him killing himself, to keep him close. He is willing to risk his life. Finding out it was yet again the scheme would push him over the edge, but for the time he can keep stalking him and pushing himself into his life before he finds out the truth - he is willing to risk it. That's trash. He is doing nothing for YSL, he is doing it all for himself.

And that's my point - people analyze the show differently. You can disagree with the opinion, since it's different from yours. But you are not right just because you claim you are. You place different value on different aspects of characters actions hence see their motivation in a different light. That's it.

Fiction is there to be discussed in various ways. There is nothing wrong with complaining about things people dislike. There is a difference between going into a show wanting to complain about it, and getting into a show and slowly getting disappointed with what is being presented with every new episode.

If the show exist there just to be complimented and never analyze and criticized, what's the point of comment sections, reviews etc to exist. If you only wrote about your own opinion about the events, I would not care. But you started the episode dismissing other people's view as them not understanding the plot and actions of the characters. That's why I wrote reply to you. Because it was your take on other people's opinion.

I actually felt disgusted by the end of the episode 12. Fan Xiao is the most awful dude ever.
There are red and black flags and there are psychopaths who should be locked up for life.

There is no redemption arc, there is nothing they can do to fix it, Fan Xiao is just psychotic trash, that's it. Like, it's an achievement for a show to make me want to see the good guy die, just so I can see the bad guy suffer.

Everything he does just disgust me. No matter how much we twist his "logic", excuse his action and pretend he has noble reasons - he does not. He is selfish to the core. Metal gymnastic Olympics that are being held to "explain how he does it all for You Shu Lang to keep him alive" BITCH HE WANTS TO DIE COZ OF YOUR PRESENCE. You know what would make him want to live again? Your ass away from him forever. Preferably dead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You want him to be happy and alive? Stage an accident you die in. this way he will not feel guilty thinking you died coz of him, but he will also feel total freedom knowing you cannot fucking hunt him for life no matter where he goes 🙄

Damn this series is basically psychological horror. I miss Chi Cheng and Hua Yong - they were so normal compared 🤣

Honestly there is no redemption for Fan Xiao. I mean in the newest episode we literally got compilation of "after rape scene". There is nothing they can do for me to want them to end up together.

I guess one of its shortcomings is the inability to really delve into the complicated relationships and spend time exploring the backstory of each character. < this is for sure what I also thought after finishing. We've got solid set up, and solid closure, but the middle part where all the development should happen was a bit rushed coz of the short format.

During one of classes when I was studying psychology we were shown 3 videos of f/m dancing together, m/m and f/f. And we were asked which one made us feel uncomfortable or weird and which one was the most pleasant to watch (want to make clear it was not about it being homophobic, but rather showcasing the impact of exposure to different experiences and how it can impact the emotional reaction).

I'm pretty sure I was the only one who picked m/m as the most pleasant to watch and I really had to go into detail why I picked it before everyone accepted I did not pick it "just to be different". In that case (these 3 specific videos), the m/m dance felt the most partnership like, but compared to f/f has more dynamic in it.

I wish the world was more open to different experiences. The more you see, the more you experience, the more you can actually enjoy life and find happiness in variety of things.

I think I liked Chu Wei's story the most even tho it was also the most frustrating one 🥲

I found myself bored by some of the plots, in particular the younger sister < honestly think her story was the weakest. Maybe not even the story itself, but the presentation was not as gripping. I feel like they were jumping from one issue to another and none felt truly developed.

and does a really good job in balancing how life is both, comedy and drama. < oh this! 100%. The drama did so well to balance different aspects of life!
