Well, this was a lot better than I expected - both as a drama and as an adaptation.

Spirit Fingers is honestly a story I felt like it could work only in webtoon or maybe animation - it's really absurd at times in terms of set up and whimsical in presentation. My biggest fear was the production trying to turn it all down and make it more "realistic". Thank god they did not!

What was unique about it was seeing both teens and adults perspective without feeling like any is presented in a negative light. The emotional and daring side of youth, and the mature and confident side of the adults.

And this casting - how they even managed? I'm impressed.

But also baby boy does not understand work at all. What do you mean you will go alone coz it's your personal responsibility. NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOUR GUILT, it's more advantageous for the company to have someone more skilled and senior in sale to go with you to make sure the apology will go as well as it can get, so you will keep the contract 🙂

Also, he better not stay in that parallel reality/dream/whatever it is for too long, because I need that real love story between him and Ogami happen with good detail, since Ogami is obviously completely in love with him in his reality too 🤣

So after episodes 5-6 of Discount Secret Relationships fluff edition, I am still team bestie.

All 3 are frustrating for just "keeping their crush a secret" and never doing shit to get ML, and only now out of a blue all 3 starting to get their shit together, but I think bestie has the best "reasoning" behind it. He would not be the first one to be scared of confessing coz he might lose the best friend. Better keep him as a friend than not have him in my life at all type of a deal.

Yeon Sang technically romantically could not do shit since he was the team leader/manager in the company so that's weird HR issue, but that does not mean he had to literally play Cold Indifferent Male Lead the whole time 🤣 You can still be kind and helpful to your crush who also works under you, without making it romantic.

Haram tho, what the fuck my dude 🤣 You literally were ready to confess with the flowers, but saw him ONCE with his bestie and gave up? Instead of trying to do it again next time when he is alone? What even.

Unless, I just read a fun theory on tumblr that Ha Ram was from the start into Bestie not ML. The flowers? Wanted to give them to Bestie. Saying he likes ML? To see if Bestie has feelings for ML. Not mad about this idea. The tension is tensioning during the sparing scenes.

I still think Team Leader is legit the weakest love interest and do not want ML to end up with him. Truth to be told, I just want Bestie to be happy 🤣

I think it's one of the better adaptations. It's not 1:1 but it's really close to the source material and what I like the most is the fact they are not trying to make it more "realistic" and explain stuff that do not need explanation for the plot to progress (like how the cafe can even allow random club to occupy so much of their space and how the decor is even made, created, paid for etc). They still keep it whimsical. But they also balance well the youth and adult perspective. It's good.

This is one of the best adaptations of webtoon we've got in years. It's fine to not like it, but it does stay true to it's source material 🔥

What I love about spirit fingers is the fact it's mostly youth romance, but it has such a good and realistic portrayal of adulthood and its perspective despite the whimsical presentation. I love the scenes when the adult spirit fingers sit down and talk alone without the teens and we see a completely different perspective - both of them as characters, but also plot itself.

The most complex and interesting relations barley existed and the easiest and most straightforward ones were highlighted 🤡

cliches became cliches for a reason - they were used a lot because they work. You just have to know who to deliver, and so far they are doing great job at that 🔥💖

Cannot wait for next episode, especially after that preview hahaha

yes this! I do want to see one or two more episodes of him pinning, but damn after that game on ad I'd kill for your scenario to come true 🤣🤣🤣

That's a random topic for a rom-com, but the way they present the laws around ownership of property in Korea is so fucking confusing. Like... A person steals the deed of the house and now it's "theirs" and they can sell it... for real? Wouldn't deed also name all the persons who have stakes in the property and wouldn't taking loans or selling it needed the consent from all of the owners? 🤣

not gonna lie, the review a bit confusing since you actually rated the show 8 not 10 by the end 🤡
I think if someone decides to write on going review, they should at least update it when they finish the show 😅

it started good, but went downhill quickly, after episode 4 😅

She said herself that she felt guilty..for whatever reason. < honestly do not get it. And how nice she was to him in last episode when he fucked himself over why trying to ruin them... like girl what are you even doing?

but here it was filler on filler moments that added absolutely nothing to the actual plot or the character development of the leads. < this! it honestly felt like 80% of scree time was spent on filler scenes 🤣🤡

As always great review. I knew we gonna agree since we ranted together the whole journey 😅
