I can't believe the rating in korea is low and knetz don't like this because "they are in their 20s and can't…
This year I am officially closer to 30 than to 20 (beautiful 25 mark lol) and I truly love this drama. Especially since none of the problems and dilemma the characters are facing are strictly related to only people in their 30'. Chasing your dreams, mental health issue, self-worth, relationship problems, abuse... like none of those is a problem that specifically people in their 30' face, and no other age group does. How can you not relate to any aspect of this drama? I get that someone may not like this drama coz they don't like characters, the humor is not their cup of tea etc, but saying you don't like it coz you cannot relate to characters in their 30' is pretty ridiculous.

I honestly do not care that much about the relationship between Tanya and Eunsom . The writers did not give me enough time in the 1st season for me to like them as a duo and for the majority of the show they have been apart. Also, I think the plot, characters, their motivations, the whole world and the rules in it, all the elements are quite complex but the drama is way too short to truly show it. If you want to make a good fantasy show/movie/book you need to spend your time building that world and explaining it to the viewers. I cannot get too interested and into the story coz there is just too much and too quickly of it.
For me the whole "1st season" should be Tanya nad her people doing their things, Ta Gon and his people doing their. The last episode of it could show the whole taking over. And then 2nd season would go from that point. Just slow it down and show us more. Coz right now, I don't really care that much about any of the characters....

While I understand your point, I feel this is very different. I think she was a very mature eighteen when they…
They had father-daughter relationship in the past. And no matter how mature she was, she was still just 18, extremely broken kid being daily abused by her real father, and he was 56 back then, he could be her grandfather. While I can understand her feelings for him, since she did not know who he was when she started developing feelings for him, Ha Rip falling for her seems just wrong for me. I truly hope they will not go there. Especially since this drama truly does not need romance. I would much rather see mentor-mentee scenerio. Not only romantic relationship are deep, important and profound.
This whole scenario of him being 66 years old, 56 when he met her when she was 18 is weird itself, but the fact that they added his son being in love with her is just crossing the line for me. We have 20 years old guy being in love with 28 years old girl who is in love with his father who is 66. Any other drama and I would call it bad makjang.

I see more and more people wanting Ha Rip and Yi Kyung to be an end game and I truly do not understand it. When I see them and think about the romance all I can picture is a father's friend who saw the daughter of said father grow up since she was a teenager and later on dating her. Like switching from being a father/uncle figure to a romantic partner just... gross and nope. Especially since when they hint the romance from Ha Rip perspective, they show the flashback of when he was old and she was in high school. Thanks for reminding me how gross the romance would be.

I would agree that there are many selfish 2nd male leads But there is one line in your article I just cannot agree with:
"One of the many things I hate about second leads is when they choose to disregard the female lead’s feelings and confess to her"
I think everyone has the right to stay true to their feelings. Confessing their feelings is not something bad, even if they know the girl does not love them back. IF even after being rejected they are all over her and try to make her like them in a romantic way, this would be a problem. But I would never say just confessing your feelings is being selfish. As long as they are ready to accept rejection and deal with it themselves.

Cheese in the Trap... I'm sorry but I always felt she should've ended up with Seo Kang Joon's character.
Don't know if you are reading the webtoon, but I feel like the characters there are explained way better. I don't think there are many people who prefer Seol to be with In Ho and not Jung if we talk about the original story. Which just shows how bad the drama presented characters. I guess it's hard to "ship" Seol with Jung in drama since the writers almost wrote him off the show in the second half, focusing on Inho, and giving him and not Jung the proper character development. I have many complains about Cheese in the trap hahaha

I think you are the only oneI am really excited to watch this drama And I blindly love ji sung too
but that's way too broad theme coz under it we have euthanasia, no resuscitation form, legal aspect, morality aspect, emotional aspect, family of the ill person and more. And they show us bits of all of those things, but do not deep dive into any of them.

In life you have 24 hours (- lets say 8 for sleep) to know all the details you need about things happening around you. You have time to explore it, get to know people. In drama you have one hour for an episode, 16 hour total. That's why you need to cut some stuff just to make sure you truly explained your story and the motives of the characters, who who the characters are. And they have so much going on in this drama, it's simply impossible. I had exactly the same problem with Hotel del Luna.

of course it's my view point. You asked "why" and I gave you the answer. Everyone will have a different opinion about this drama, and that was mine.

Title Doctor John Spoiler
I think you are the only oneI am really excited to watch this drama And I blindly love ji sung too
Ji Sung is doing an amazing job, it's not the problem I have with a cast, but with a writing and directing of the drama. I will just copy what I wrote in feed, since those are my main problems:
I feel like they could not decide what theme to go for and what idea should be the main/leading one. On one hand you have the whole morality issue with euthanasia, but then there is this whole plot of Yohan's illness. Then we have the whole side plot about the murderer, prosecutor and the nurse. We also have this side plot about the drug created for euthanasia, all the romance stories, Si Yeong's father being in coma (or whatever state he is in) + All the side plots for specific episodes about the random patients. It's too much so nothing works. They should have focused ONLY on the euthanasia aspect + some (but not too many) side plots all to some extend being connected to the main, or leading to some character development. Yo Han being sick is so unnecessary for me. If they gave us more of Lee Kyu Hyung's character and truly played this "morality battle" between him and Yohan it would be such an interesting character driven drama. Now it's hole mess. We have not enough scenes for ALL plot lines except from the romance between Yohan and Si Yeong (which they focused way too much on, for me at least). I could do without the romance in this drama tbh. The topic of it is too heavy and they should have spent more time dwelling over it.

Title Class of Lies Spoiler
if he doesnt feel empathy then hes a psychopath not a sociopath. Sociopaths actually feel a little bit of empathy…
I don't know... After all one of the criteria of dissocial personality (or anti-social personality disorder depending if you go by icd or dsm) is impulsiveness and poor planning skills (because of said impulsiveness) and bad control of your emotions. I guess he is quite inteligent so it might lessen his impulsiveness. I feel like this is a "cool tv show psychopath" kind of thing...
And seeing how far he goes (up to killing someone) he is definitely clinical patient, not just psychopath as people call it (since we all have some traits of all dark triad). It's fun tho, you looks at it from perspective of medical science and I do as a clinical and neuropsychology student. I think we put more emphasis on differentiating between psychopathy and ani-social personality disorder, and I would say Beom Jin has the latter.

It was explained in 2nd half of the drama, that it's Yeom Dong Sook
no, the boyfriend was the female Commissioner. Soo Yeon was an informant for her. She saved her as a boyfriend so she can always pick the phone up and no one from the team would suspect anything.
