My take on the ending. It was good, not the best but it was a good kind of ending. I mean, with that kind of story…
Oh you can easily twist it all to make a happy ending too and it would go like that:
Author had to make a new story for all the characters to keep living. For the main cast who has the least free will he picked the extra characters that never were aware of themselves to minimalizm the possibility of harming anyone again. He decided to give Dan Oh and Haru the nameless extras roles coz this way have the most freedom. All the other characters that were self aware were not showed coz they are also just nameless extras, but they are in the manhwa and they are self aware like Dan Oh and Haru. Basically the author gave the most possible freedom to the characters that showed they are self aware.
You can interpret the ending in many ways, I just wanted the drama to have tragic ending, so the tragic aspects of it stood out for me :)

Even for the ending, In a particular episode, it was said, "Even if you changed the Stage, it's the writer who…
The fact that Dan Oh is the only one who can see storyboard annoyed me to, or rather the fact is was never truly explained why she can see it.

I really liked the beginning,They gave us a lot of questions, and drama hooked us to know the answers. But when…
Okay what I understood: Haru can change the stage coz he is nameless extra who has no set up and no personality written by the author so he was free to do what he watched in the stage, since nothing was written for him when it happen and the lack of any characteristics he had also meant he was not busy himself doing anything. The moment he got the set up: being Kyung's best friend, he was not free and he couldn't change the scene too. We could see how he had problem with turning the video off (if I remember correctly) when Kyung was suppose to propose to Dan Oh

didn't think the ending would be that deep after reading this article. i simply thought of he came back so happy…
I honestly don't think it would make much sense to reveal the writer, since they did not build any connection between the real and manhwa world. We all speculated that one of the characters must be the writer, but honestly in the drama itself there were no hints that's the case hahaha we just ran wild with the imagination :)

Absolutely loved your article! And the formatting is sooo good omg!!I didn't really care about EY's ending since…
Thank you so much for liking the formatting. I'm a "likes pretty visuals and order" type of person so it was important for me :)
and yes, I do not believe there could be a happy ending that would fit the drama and made sense, with how the set it all up from the beginning...

If we were annoyed by the repetitivness i cant imagine to actually "live" through such life.
OMG THAT ENDING I WOULD DIE FOR! I was wishing for a tragic ending so much! I am quite happy with what happened, but I had to dig deep to see the tragic part of it hahaha

AWESOME ARTICLE, KATE!!! (and i really love the formatting!)I also feel like it's a sad ending. moreover - there…
If we were annoyed by the repetitivness i cant imagine to actually "live" through such life. <- exactly! That would be truly hellish experience!
As for your idea of the ending: it sounds awesome BUT it would frustrate me so much if it happened. Because during the whole drama we had no connection to the real world. So at the end bringing in fans and how they were able to change the characters fate would sound like a cheap way out of a bad ending for me.
But yeah, let's live with the hope that the writer would write Kyung, Dohwa etc. into the story at some point and they would not be just simply forgotten :)
And thank you for liking the article. I wanted it to be short and straight to be point since the whole article is just about the ending of a one drama hahaha

i definitely see it as more of a sad ending. just the fact that dohwa isn’t in the new comic makes me sad. and…
Since they are nameless extras I would assume they would not have much of an ending. One day one of them would get written off the story, as soon after the other would follow... Sadly.

I'm pretty sure they divorced, but I may be wrong. I think there was a short scene about it.
I believe she cared about him but they were not couple at that time. I'd assume they split up on good terms when the kid got worse. There was no indication of them being in the relationship since episode 1.

Oh my goodness, yes! I finally found a review that captured my feelings in words. The drama had everything set…
glad you share my feelings of disappointment hahaha

this is a perfect new stat. Usually when there is a huge difference between the rating of people who finished and those who dropped, I am more willing to believe low rating reflect more of the drama not fitting those people style, rather than it being bad. It will definitely help a lot.

I just feel so sad for Ha Young she still loves him so much, well what she has done was wrong but the circumstances…
She gave up on finding him and involving the police to get promotion in her job. I would not call that love...

1. Mi Ran's ex-boyfriend will never not be annoying. It was not enough that he was at her school, at her house,…
Agree with all of those but I cannot agree with the last one. Even if she has some negative feelings for Mi Ran, she knows it's not right and never expresses them towards Mi Ran herself. Expecting her to be perfectly rational in a situation she is in and not get swayed by emotions is asking for too much. I'm pretty sure the person who posted that was Dong Chan's ex. Only her doing that makes any sense.

good entertainment can have some value to itself. Don't know if I have too high of a standard expecting from dramas more than hot guys making out, or others have too low.

The problem I had with your comment was that "hypocritical" part you pointed out. Either you call me hypocritical, which makes no sense since you don't know if I do or do not criticize similar tropes in other not BL shows, or you just call other people with this mentality hypocritical, not specifically me, but then why would you write that message to me, under my comment, when it had nothing to do with the content of my comment? I just found you bringing into the conversation other types of shows out of place. I'm not here to discuss Disney or other not bl rom-coms coz this is not place to do that.
I think I have bigger problem with this specific drama than the others, coz of that plot line of sexual abuse when Type was younger and how they "play" with it. It might be because I am psychology major, but how they are dealing with it just bothers me so much it's crazy.

I'm talking about this show and criticizing this show and it's genre coz it's the page FOR THIS SHOW. Why would I bring different genres or Disney here. Also, just because this problem is prominent in other movies and tv shows, does not mean we should not criticize it here.
Never have ever in any Disney show I have seen the guy kept touching the girl AFTER she said no and tried to push him away.
Also when I talk about BL, I don't only mean the tv shows, since they are quite mild compared to the novels. In novels we have cases of nothing more or less rape and it is so normalized it's crazy.

It is true that BL dramas have a HUGE problem with the concept of consent. Majority of them have a message "if you push long enough they will be willing and enjoying themselves". And this one, knowing that Type has huge psychological problems because of his past experience, is even worse than all the other ones. How can anyone see Tharn as cute and not creepy is beyond me. Rather than romance I watch it was a psychological thriller hahaha

Why do you think as an extra he has that scar on his hand? since he's not apart of scenes, his injuries don't…
Uh I don't think we have enough information to make valid theories about the scar but if I had to write anything: maybe it's the result of Haru trying to change the story in the past. I also think there is some bad blood between him and Dried Squid Fairy.
Just read the comment from freedonuts up there and I like the idea that Haru might have been the main lead but he tried to change the story. The whole punishment idea.

Your theories are so good. I can't wait to see all of the main characters gaining conscious and see how this story…
I mean it's quite confirmed that Haru was drawing Dan Oh even before she knew who he was. In ep 1 she is reading the book upside down. In ep 4 on one of the drawing Haru created we can see Dan Oh reading that book upside down.
