By all standards she is aggressive not assertive. She ignored Taichi's words and explanations and followed it by calling him full of himself. She did not care to have a conversation, she judged people around him based on her assumptions and got annoyed when called out. Actually, Taichi's behavior was more assertive in this scenario than hers.

Someone who as for now shown to be really egocentric, cannot really be assertive. If she is unable and unwilling to see things for other people's perspective how can she be respectful in how she talks about other people's behavior?

Each person is different, and also disabled people can be assertive/blunt about their needs. < the issue is - she is not assertive about HER needs, she is assertive about Kohei needs, as if she know better what he needs than himself. The whole point is ever person with any disability has their own unique struggles. But she judges OTHER people needs, but her own needs. Why? Because she is egocentric ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Girl did not even ask Kohei what he thinks about it all. And obviously knows her behavior was crossing the line, since she acted like nothing happened when he showed up.

Girl did not want to give him a constructive criticism, but just lash out her frustration for no other reason than her ridiculous savior complex towards Kohei. She used his past notes to judge his whole personality and did not even let him speak when he tried to explain that it is true he was careless and that's why he decided to do a proper training. Her struggles does not mean she can just go off like that. she is not straightforward, she is rude. There is a difference between these two.

He admit he was wrong. Straightforward, but honest person who actually wants to make the situation better would have a conversation and not just keep insulting him. When someone admits to their mistakes, your reaction should not be calling them full of themselves.

Maya? Annoying as fuck. She is exactly the type of person I hate. Judging everyone based on her biased perspective. Having victim complex as if she lived the most fucking pitiful and hard life ever. Funniest thing is, Taichi actually treats Kohei more like a normal human being than Maya. While he tries to include him in daily activities, make friends, does not walk on fucking egg shells around him, she is the opposite of that - trying to keep him secluded and "protect him". From fucking what? Normal life? Damn she makes me angry as fuck.

But honestly, I hope it will be Kohei that has a serious chat about it with her. He needs to start voicing his opinions more and she is clearly crossing the line.

Okay, I know I said I like how it's not all romance, but now that the romance started happening I turned into a hyped teenager coz DAMN THEY ARE CUTE!

I like how they behave completely differently about it tho. Ryan started to feel attracted to Jane and had a low-key mental breakdown and had to check with Pie to be sure. While Jane also obviously started to be interested in Ryan, but since he is older and more mature, he acts far more natural - like it's not end all be all most important aspect of his life, but there is this cute guy in his workplace and he would not mind seeing where it can potentially go. At least this is how I read this situation 🤡

If so, shame on the author, for that’s a dirty trick indeed. < there is nothing worse than trying to make your lead look better by making everyone else look worse. Similar things often happens in other dramas: lead character is being introduced as this genius, but then you start to think that everyone would be seen as one if they were surrounded by so many idiots.

but I honestly still don’t know why and when Niao Niao fell in love with him < literally same. When and why were two questions I kept asking myself. What I wrote about the romance: "it was literally: she doesn't love him, next scene: she loves him. And even then it felt more like her trying to convince herself she loves him, rather than her actually having these feelings."

the fact they changed the ending from the webtoon to this was just laughable because with just that, they removed ALL THE MEANING behind the story 🤣 I remember I was so pissed when the show ended

I totally agree on the brother and best friend side plot. It was random, felt disconnected from overall plot and did not really bring anything to the table. The over the top comedy was not it 🙃

Oh yes. All the ladies for sure were smart. Just Nihuang and Xiadong were absent more often than they were part of the plot, hence they had less impact on me 🙂

I actually really liked the message here. I loved how the plastic surgery did not remove all the issues from FL. It seemed like a quick fix for her problems, but these quick fixes never last.

They aren't as easy to categorize into good and evil as we would like them to be. < for sure. In terms of moral behaviors, this drama was highly diverse and I loved it about it
