it's a long delayed low budget drama that probably has no budget for marketing lol I'm just happy it's actually airing.

the fanclubs just dropped notices that they're announcing it tomorrow morning. hope they don't delay again.

oh wow melons just dropped that Xingyue is leaving YZ. still developing but what a plot twist if true.

the only good thing this project has so far is the director, if he also leaves because of delays then idk why YZ would want to pursue it, unless it pays him really really well. WXY's fans don't want him to take it either (even when he was first rumored in May, they were happier when Bao Hu turned up because they'd rather he do serious dramas lol) so maybe if they raise enough of a stink YZ might listen this time.

maybe closer to the release date? I just know iQiyi replied to a Korean fan saying they're working on it.

Confession - CFY seems to have rejected it, now we wait to see if YZ will still take it. Bao Hu is shooting until mid/end January so it might be a while before they decide his next project.

Xing Zhi Wan - seems to have been delayed again with a melon of both WXY and ZY dropping out.

Falling Spring Night - idk why koalasplayground is reporting that it's shooting in Q1/Q2 2026 because it's not. YZ has already said he's shooting a Qing Dynasty drama for Mango next after Zhao Qing's drama.

looks like CFY is really rejecting it (there were a lot of PR melons today) citing funding issues (which is a weird excuse because why would you admit you can't find an investor on the power of your casting?) anyway, now we wait for YZ's next move.

hmm Zhao Qing gets about the same treatment, like he publicly fat shamed her to lose weight, said she'll be a lead in an "S+" project but it turned out to be a short drama, and then there's the Xu Kai debacle where he said she was just his dialogue coach.

I saw the WHY rumors started from a random person on douban so it's not a very good source. but allegedly, it was the production team who bought the hot search about CFY being the chosen Zhou Jingze (the name of the ML) so it would serve them right if he does run away and no other bankable star wants to touch the project. YZ would also be an idiot if he still pursues this for WXY, big IP or not.

eh it's YZ who keeps dragging him into things. at least with other agencies, these things are handled subtly but YZ likes to brag and then play innocent when things don't go his way. he knows all the nonsense he says get put in the hot search (whether by himself or by his rivals) so I don't understand why he keeps sabotaging WXY like this.

WXY has also been replying to his fans the past couple of posts on Weibo and in response to the reservoir bridge stunt he said that the "crew treats me like a treasure and protects me."

yeah one theory is that the production team deliberately approached YZ again so that CFY will be forced to make a decision (shooting was supposed to start Dec 10 so him not signing a contract is cutting it close.) but then again YZ is also notorious for doing this, I remember last year, the whole Tang Palace fiasco happened after he tried and failed to snatch a project from Yang Zi lol.

WXY was his usual happy self on set yesterday though so I'm just glad he's found a way to ignore all the negativity now.

no problem! yeah the melon I last saw was that the script is bad/still needs rewrites and that's why CFY hasn't signed a contract yet/is considering doing a movie instead. the only thing that worries me is that YZ is noisy for a reason so he might really want this. or maybe he's just being annoying to distract from some other issue (though poor WXY got sacrificed to the hot search again.)

anyway, the last time YZ imploded a project with his dirty tricks, WXY got to do Bao Hu so let's hope for a similar upgrade again lol.

Love in Red Dust - Shanghai police just released a statement saying the Qin Wen incident was "handled legally, with compliance, and without any impropriety" so people can stop panicking now, the drama is not being shelved.

Confession - is not a done deal. CFY fan club posted saying they're still in contact with the team and haven't rejected the project yet. Maybe the producer was talking to YZ again just in case CFY accepts that rumored movie instead, but why YZ felt the need to mention it and start a fan war is something only he knows lol.

yeah the melon owner said he'll have to jump into it straight from Bao Hu. the ML in it is a pilot so idk if that gives him enough time to prep, plus he plays the cello too (it's a pet peeve of mine when actors can't fake play instruments properly lol.) not to mention he lost so much weight for BH, I was hoping he'll have time to get some flesh back on his cheeks. also torn because I do like the rumored director for this (he did Deep Affection Eyes and Always Home.)

anyway, YZ did only say he's still gonna talk to the producer so it's not certain he'll accept yet, we just have to wait and see. UPDATE: CFY's team posted implying it's still him (although the rumor is he's leaving the project because he going to shoot a movie with a famous director instead.) maybe YZ meant he's talking to the Confession producer but it's for another project? lol what chaos has he started this time, I can already smell the fan war coming.
