ok this is one unpopular opinion, but it seems like in melodramas, many audiences don't want to leads to get back together and continue suffering. this drama is not about that actually. they got back together because despite the trauma, they loved each other.

This drama is purely about trauma. not just one trauma but many kinds of it! i initially thought that it's gonna be a melodrama romance with wounded people but this way beyond that. I think a trauma tag should be added to it.

I have personally met Japanese men living abroad ( my colleagues) so i don't really know much about Japan itself but the very few ones i have met and befriended with say they are indeed a bit distant due to their culture. but this is just my observation. it can differ anyways :)
