Well, when I know who is the bad guy here, I feel very dissappointed. He doesnt have the charisma/vibe of the…
Psychology is actually very complicated. A shock like that can easily push a person off the edge and make them go psycho. He probably loves his police job and had been waiting for a promotion for more than ten years. Yet on the same day, he commits a sin and a sudden impulse puts him on the wrong path. That guilt deep inside him mixed with guilt probably drove him to go crazy and question himself as a person. Also seeing how he was able to get away with it with no suspicion of murder at all, he probably clung tight to that to convince himself how amazing and genius he actually is, and not a failure who murdered someone. Then slowly, it just becomes a game to him, as he feels pleasure and satisfaction for his "accomplishments".
This is actually surprisingly quite well done and I'm really quite satisfied with the way they wrapped up this…
The only thing I'm confused about is I thought in timelines where Sun Ho does not die and continues killing, Hyung Joo is the one that dies in the hands of Oh Myung Chul? Then how the heck was Sun Ho able to kill Hyung Joo? IDK if that's an error in their writing, or if Lee Shin was just lying to him? Did he not actually die when Oh Myung Chul tried to murder him? Or do we assume that Lee Shin And Hwang No Sub had tested different scenarios before? Like saving each of the victims one by one instead of just getting rid of Sun Ho? Not sure if I missed something before.
Anyhow, I could TOTALLY feel the disappointment, regret and feeling of betrayal in Hyung Joo's character when it was revealed that the murderer is actually his beloved 'hyung'. I literally started crying the whole time, the moment it was revealed up to the when Sun Ho was finally caught. (A literal 3-4 episodes straight, not kidding you LOL). Although the possibility of Sun Ho being the murderer flashed across my mind once, but I totally brushed it off cuz it would hurt too much, and I kept thinking it would be impossible since he died the last time round. Sadly, there were just too many lies in the show that threw me off (damnit.) But it all made sense when the truth was revealed, and it was so thrilling watching the couple of eps where the audience is the only ones that know Sun Ho's true identity. The intensity totally went up several notches! A few time travel k-dramas after Signal had disappointed me, so I guess I lowered my expectations for this one and expected lots of flaws and a poor ending. But this ended up really surprising me!
I also loved the subtle romance near the end between Ga Hyun and Hyung Jo. Although there pretty much weren't any romance scenes or anything throughout, but their bond and reliance on each other makes the development of their romantic feelings for each other very believable. I absolutely loved their ending scene! And I loved knowing that in all timelines, Ga Hyun and Hyung Jo's 'fate' was meant to happen too! Even without meeting through reset, fate brings them together by having Hyung Jo be Ga Hyun's consultant. I actually like how the drama subtly dropped hints of Ga Hyun having a police consultant in the middle of the drama (when her manager came with a list of consultants). Who would've thought that this consultant thing is actually what brings Ga Hyun and Hyung Jo together?
Even though there are some unanswered questions (like what made Hwang No Sub so crazy, how he found the way to reset, and the question I pointed out before), but I feel like most of those things are actually okay left unanswered. Anyways, nothing but good things to say about this drama. Still hesitating whether I should up my rating from a 9.5 to a 10 or not hahahaha
This is actually surprisingly quite well done and I'm really quite satisfied with the way they wrapped up this drama. There's just one thing I can't wrap my head around, which I'll put in a spoiler comment below. But overall, it's such a thriller and keeps you wanting more every single episode. Super enjoyable and will go down as one of my top favorites!!
A pretty cute drama with a LOOAD of kiss scenes ;) Can't say it's flawless as there are still things that don't…
One of the things that I think don't make much sense is how the heck Lin Jiayi liked Han Che so much. Like... maybe I'm forgetting some things, but didn't all he do was just help her that ONE time? How the heck did Lin Jiayi get the impression that Han Che liked her back?? When she finally confronted him, she was acting like he was leading her on and broke her heart. But from what I saw, Han Che found out he made a mistake pretty early on.... Maybe it's supposed to be implied that he had done a lot for her in the past too, but if we have to speculate, then I think this is pretty bad / lazy writing...
Another thing is that I felt the whole Han Che being Kim thing was really off. Like in the beginning of the show, they made it seem like such a serious thing, and they all even kept it a secret from Nuannuan. But honestly, was it even that serious?? If they could forgive Jiayi, they can definitely forgive "Kim". They should at least show some hints of Nuannuan actually holding hard feelings for Kim helping Jiayi or something? She barely even mentioned Kim like EVER... And honestly, when the reveal happened, more than the actual fact that Han Che helped "ruin" her dreams, I think Nuannuan was more upset thinking Han Che doesn't like her and was just repenting for what he did, and how he wouldn't say that he liked her out loud. But throughout the show, they tried to make it seem like the main reason they need to hide this is cuz Kim contributed to crushing her dreams. That's just really not the main conflict they should've focused on. I just don't think this "secret" was really that impactful, considering they tried to play it as an underlying huge shocking secret for like more than half the show. It just felt weird.
The whole "I don't want you to be sad so I'm not going to tell you about my operation" thing is also a little stupid...... But I guess I can reason with it, though I don't agree with it. I guess some people WOULD think that way, but it's just stupid when we see this in a drama, cuz it's just so cliche.... But the good thing is they don't use this as some plotline for a draggy break-up, and in fact, it was cute and funny to see Nuannuan pretend to be angry and play hard to get.

what episode do they divorce and the revenge start?
I realized I forgot to answer your other questions haha. After they divorced, the husband stayed with the mistress and they eventually got married. The mistress was pregnant with his baby to begin with. They left the city basically cuz there was a restraining order on him for two years and it was hard for him to accomplish anything with this tainted reputation anyways.
Lmao.. this lakorn... I was able to reason with everything that happened until about Ep 14. Then it started going…
Like ????? I literally laughed out loud when he went from being depressed and feeling guilty to "IM GONNA TAKE REVENGE" after reading his mother's diary and saying it's all his father's fault. Like da fck? Talk about a sudden 180 degree mood change. Like FIRST OF ALL, wtf are you even mad about????? You're mad that this is all your father's fault for making you become an illegitimate child? Your life is ruined now because of this? wtf............. HELLOO?? It takes more than just your father for an illegitimate child to be born. In fact, now you should be relieved cuz you're not related to the woman you love!
His father definitely was at fault and was not a good father throughout his childhood, but c'mon, you clearly know your mother did something gravely wrong too. Also, his father realized his mistakes and had been trying hard to fix things and become a better father. He even said that he still sees him as a son, even though he's an illegitimate child. That's not someone everyone can do. He may have not treated you very well in the past, but considering the fact that he raised you for 20+ years, even though you guys aren't even blood related....??? I think you can let loose a little, no??? But because of an effing diary page, you decide you're going to go down the revenge path? OK, fine, whatever. BUT WTF does this have to do with Kiew???? Huh??? You love this woman, but you're able to hurt her to take revenge on your father? What is that supposed to accomplish? How is leaving Kiew on her wedding night even revenge? Doing the same thing your father did to your mother, to your own wife...... I don't get it. This hurts your wife more than it hurts your father, dude. I'll never understand getting revenge from someone just cuz they are related to your actual enemy. It just makes no sense that you can use the person you love to take revenge. I can understand anger towards his father for never loving his mother, but the point of revenge??? To the point of losing yourself and becoming a complete piece of trash???? I don't think so. Your mom cheated and had you, your father cheated that one night and never saw Sa again after that night. I think that makes them even. Your father may have never loved your mom and caused her misery, but you're a fcking grown adult now. You should be capable of understanding love is love, and sadly it cannot be forced. At least he raised someone else's son for so many years, and never regretted a moment of it after finding out.
Shouldn't finding love be enough reason for you to live on, and live a new life?? You may not have had the fatherly love you wanted, but you even said yourself, Kiew healed you. (Maybe he was just lying, but I AM SURE if he looks clearly, HE KNOWS it's true.) These lakorns really need to learn how to use the concept of love in their dramas. What is the point of having the leads take revenge until they get tired of it, and then THE END. How about writing a touching story of how love can get people through pain? And I'm not talking about them realizing that in like the last episode of the show. There's just no justifying his revenge here. I was at least able to reason with his anger and desire for revenge before the whole illegitimate son trope. I was really surprised that was revealed so quickly. I rather they dragged that on, cuz at least it made SENSE. What the heck is the point of this revenge really? It's one of those dramas where if you ask the lead why the heck he's angry, he'd be repeating "I JUST AM!!!!!" every time... cuz there's no actual damn reason -____-
Also that crazy Chaya.... I laughed so hard in Ep 14 when she ran into Kiew's office and screamed that she loves Peat, and Peat loves her too. "WE LOVE EACH OTHER". LMAOOO that was actually hilarious. Poor girl. She's really delusional. But it's not a lakorn without a delusional woman who loves the ML. I do pity her a bit, cuz Peat keeps using her and leading her on. Like how the heck is her delusional mind not gonna think Peat likes her if he runs to her on his wedding night? That's totally enough to convince herself that he loves her! wtf!
Anyways, I'll be back to rant some more, I'm sure. I am ready to use the fast forward button now.
Lmao.. this lakorn... I was able to reason with everything that happened until about Ep 14. Then it started going like wtf??? The ML's revenge in the second half of this show really made no effing sense at all. I was pretty much laughing every time he had that 'Imma take revenge" look on his face, cuz the revenge itself is just all to ridiculous. I'm used to being super frustrated and using the fast forward button in all lakorns anyway, but this revenge seriously made no damn sense at all. But anyways, I know so many lakorns are full of stupid crap like this and full of misunderstandings and stubborn leads, so not like I was expecting much. So I don't have many expectations for lakorns anyways. I came just for the cute couple, and they are so cute together indeed! So glad they are paired up again in a new drama!! P.S. Oh, this probably happens in other lakorns as well, but this is the first one that made me realize that this drama insists on having background music EVERY SINGLE SECOND of this drama. Literally, there is not a single scene where there's no background music. They insist on matching every single thing that's happening with dramatic music, sad music, emotional music, comedic music, happy music, etc. That's why the transition of the background music is SO DAMN BAD. Someone commented on this before, but literally in one scene, there can be like four diff BGM, which just sounds ridiculous. And it's literally the same damn music every time. Also, I swear sometimes the dramatic music plays in the wrong scenes. Like stop making people think something bad is going to happen any second!
I am annoyed with the entire situation of this series. Ren Jialun and Li Man does not have chemistry in this show,…
Yeah, sadly, I wish they would've just had no romance at all in this show. The beginning of their story never made much sense to begin with... I guess it was love at first sight??? Sadly, I don't like the female lead enough to ship them. At first, I thought I could ignore the romance, since I am not here for that anyways, but when they force romance parts of a pair I'm not into in the show, I realize it affects my interest in the show.
At first, I thought the 19+ rating was due to a lot of violence and sexual scenes, but now I realize that is not…
??????? Was it REALLY NECESSARY to have the kid run away like that????????? Maybe I'm just totally lost, but I'm sure there are other ways for the point of 'losing something precious to you for making mistakes' to come across???? Like...??!?!!!!! And for a year??? And it's not like he's 20 or something! Isn't he still underage?? I totally get that Joon Young is probably sick of this parents' batshit craziness and wants to get away from it, but........ I think he is old enough to not find other ways to cope and not RUN OFF like that?? Do you not feel the least bit heartbroken that your dad is living so horribly? Your mom has been working so hard to patch things up with you?? You're going to run off and cause more sadness to your parents? Especially your mom? Like UGH. I know his dad was a piece of shit, but it's his dad after all. He almost died, and Joon Young clearly felt heartbroken instantly when the truck halted. How is Sun Woo running to Tae Oh an instant indication that she's going to forgive him? What? Was what Sun Woo did really that wrong? Tae Oh seemed really unstable, so all she wanted to do was give them a chance to come clean and say goodbye. His unstable state of mind is danger to both Sun Woo and her son, so is it really that wrong for her to try and find a peaceful end to this? I really don't know if I'm just stupid or this part really doesn't make much sense to me???? That is not something we should be promoting either??? (Well I guess that's why it's 19+ rated, cuz the point is not for kids to see it.) But seriously, are they trying to say kids should be running away from home because they aren't happy with their life? That's the solution to this??? Running away, and things will get better somehow? I'd understand if this were an issue of an abusive family, but for this...? IDK.
I guess I go by what I said before. It is in human nature to be selfish, and clearly Joon Young is still not mature enough to think about his parents' feelings and only drowning in his own emotions.
Anyways, Je Hyuk and Ye Rim's ending is very realistic, and I am quite satisfied with it. I would not have minded if they stayed together, but I think it's very true that it's not easy for that distrust to completely disappear. It can be torture to a woman to be living in suspicion forever, and it would just end up being both torture to both sides.
At first, I thought the 19+ rating was due to a lot of violence and sexual scenes, but now I realize that is not it at all. None of the scenes were 19+ at all, but instead, I believe most eps are probably rated 19+ because of all the mature topics that are discussed in the show. If kids were to watch this show, how twisted would their logic become? Many could be easily affected by the stuff they see in this show, and either walk down the wrong path with a twisted mind, or lose hope in love, life, etc. This is definitely a show you have to watch while having an open mind, and be ready to think deeply and analyze. Definitely a very well done show. I really thought I was going to be watching a show where it's all revenge, and looking forward to feeling the satisfaction of baddies getting destroyed, but honestly, that really only lasts for half the show (EP 5 dinner scene is my ultimate fave.) This show is very deep and entices you to analyze the characters, small details in the scenes (exaggerated sudden loud noises, scenes of just cleaning...etc) , and really think deeply about love, relationships and life. I think you really have to enjoy analyzing and critical thinking to truly enjoy this crazy show. HOWEVER, the last bit of the ending.................. I'm a bit ???????? wtF???? about it???
Sadly, "love" is not that simple, and is anything but logical. Same with women that get abused but still stay.…
Yes, there is definitely more to it on a psychological level. Aside from love, it is also difficult for Sun Woo to admit to herself that the perfect life she has built for herself is completely shattered. In my eyes, she's a perfectionist and has become successful because she desperately wants to be perfect and have a perfect life, to make up for the loss she had as a child. She had a broken family, her mom supposedly drove herself and her dad to death because of her father' infidelity. All her life, she has been striving to stay away from her family resulting in that. And she has been successful for so many years, until one day, BAM. Her perfect life has shattered into a billion pieces. It's hard for her to leave right away not only because she still loves Tae Oh, but because it is not easy for someone like her to admit failure, to admit that her life is becoming like that broken family she once had.
Sadly, "love" is not that simple, and is anything but logical. Same with women that get abused but still stay.…
Well, you have to remember that this drama only shows the recent few years of their lives. They have been together for more than ten years. I'm sure he treated her well before all this. That's what I meant. Obviously what we see in this drama are all signs of a bad man. But that doesn't mean he was never worthy of her love before. And it's because of that that it's hard for someone to forget about their good times in the past and completely cut themselves off from them. In fact, people tend to desperately want to cling onto all the good memories to convince them he's still worthy, because they still love that person.
Watched 2 episodes of this drama, it annoyed me to no end. I don’t understand what dr. Sun woo sees in this…
Sadly, "love" is not that simple, and is anything but logical. Same with women that get abused but still stay. CLEARLY, to an outsider, anyone that hurts you is NOT worth staying with and not worth your love. But SO many people stay. Sadly, not everyone can be logical, and separate feelings from logic. He really clearly doesn't have many good qualities, but you can't forget that he did treat her quite well for several years, and I'm sure they were sincere feelings. You'll have to also account for the years and years of relationship the two have built up. It's not easy for someone to walk away from that. Obviously, this drama is full of annoying shit, and is not easy to handle, which is why this drama is for a mature audience. It delves into very realistic and mature topics, and can be quite twisted. But the human mind is exactly that. It is twisted. Not everyone is lucky enough to be one who can stay clear-minded and logical (especially in love). Why else are there so much toxic romances out there?
