Fake kiss scenes? What do u mean? I have watched so many romance dramas for both cdramas n kdramas. And they always…
There were scenes cut. Like I said, I'm not saying they all don't have good kisses. Just that many kiss scenes these days get cut out and it sucks cuz we know they filmed it. And proportionately among the dozens of dramas that are aired a year, there are still not many good dramas that have kiss scenes on the level of dramas like Love is Sweet, Love Designer, You are My Glory, etc. The really short webdramas tend to have decent ones, but the plots are usually meh and they are not full dramas... I'd love to know which ones you found good this year if you know of any.

Lmao almost all have the kiss scenes cut one way or another (either cut short, completely cut out, ruin the angle or zoom out or blur out). Some examples: A Romance of the Little Forest, Growing Pain 2, A Dream of Splendor, Who Rules the World, City of Streamer, My Sassy Princess, Dine with Love., Love Between Fairy and Devil... And prob a lot more I just can't recall at the moment. I'm not saying they don't have kiss scenes at all. But they are cut short, or some of them are even completely taken out. It's not as bad if I didn't know the kiss scenes existed. But it's the fact that I KNOW they filmed it but decided to cut them which ticks me off. Not many dramas these days have kiss scenes as great as the ones you listed. Miss those times. I feel like the editing has gotten way more conservative in the last year...

Most of the dramas you listed are not exactly "recent." I'm talking about the ones that have been released in the past few months. I agree they kissses are better than kdramas. The problem is they always get cut.

Many of the cdramas these days kiss each other for real, sure. The problem is they just get edited out, or edited in a way where you can barely see anything -____- And dead fish kisses don't count lmao

Title Defying the Storm Spoiler
OPINION ON RECENT COMMENTS: I think it’s normal for the genre to be extra patriotic. I’ve read many complaints…
Exactly... Most countries produce war movies/dramas showing patriotism and heroes doing good for their nation. Would they produce dramas painting their country in a bad light and slap themselves in the face? Would any country produce a drama to go like "YEAH WE'RE EVIL MUAHAHAHA"? Are there any Japanese dramas that promote about how many people they killed/harmed when they occupied other countries?
Don't be so naive to think your own country doesn't engage in propaganda... People are just blinded by it cuz they're busy hating on other countries.
Also, if you don't know anything about Chinese history, then maybe you shouldn't be commenting. Don't just automatically criticize these propaganda dramas calling them BS and full of lies when you don't actually have any knowledge. Sadly, the general public just thinks "CCP = EVIL" so whatever they produce is BAD.

Also; as much as I can feel empathy for Xin Zhen (wife of ML), because she is clearly unhappy; she IS emotionally…
Yeah, I can understand the dislike of the ML, but how does anyone "like" the wife? She hasn't done anything particularly likeable, and she has serious issues too, which I totally understand, considering the way she was brought up by her parents. I don't hate any of these characters. They're very realistic and relatable

Title No Regrets in Life Spoiler
No first love plot ig
No actual affair, but yeah, probably emotionally. He just never really loved his wife that much to begin with. ML and FL clearly never fully got over each other either.

Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
I'm watching the 15th episode and I hate the fact that they're blaming Hong for things that were not his fault.…
I agree, wtf. Came here to see if anyone else commented about this part. I mean I get that they wanted someone to blame, and that's totally normal when people get hurt or traumatized. But even after so long, I can't believe the friend's wife still didn't acknowledge that he was not at fault. At least the security guard's son actually acknowledged that he knows it wasn't really his fault, but he could've done more, and to some extent, he is right. But the friend's wife???? She said she wouldn't apologize for the terrible things she said, and simply said she no longer blames him. Like wtf, the accident totally wasn't his fault at ALL. Her saying he should've died instead of her husband was totally uncalled for. If anything, Doo Shik needed to hear that his friend's death wasn't his fault the most.

Title My Sassy Princess Spoiler
Yes! I totally cried when they just sat staring at each other when they were attending Qi's wedding! The pain on…
Hahaha yes! Soo heartbreaking... I even felt like if I were the FL, I would totally understand if she would want to go to the lengths of taking her own life, not being able to be with the person she loves, and feeling helpless cuz her decision would ruin other people as well. I cried so much throughout the whole separation! Whenever they reminisced their times together or thought of each other, it was just heartwrenching! The OST that plays in their scenes is perfect too. So tearjerking.

This was overall pretty good if you're looking for a good romance drama. The fact that it's short makes it better, not much dragging. The story itself is not anything new, but the love story is honestly written quite well. The chemistry and acting are indeed AMAZING. I loved the couple and all of their scenes. Even when they were apart, I really felt the despair and suffering they felt. It has been a while since a drama has given me such feels where I would actually cry for the couple when they "break up". I honestly love a drama with a good balance of sweetness and melodrama, where the separation and heartbreak actually makes sense. This drama doesn't have you rolling your eyes, thinking the separation is stupid and the leads are being dramatic for no reason.
The one thing I'm unsatisfied with is the fact that they kept cutting the kiss scenes short or zooming out to a wide shot during the kiss scenes. SIGH. Otherwise, it would've been a perfect drama. SIGH. IF ONLY.

Title Begin Again Spoiler
Wow, seeing how this had a 8.3 rating and it had a bit of buzz while it was airing, I was expecting this show…
Gao Er Fan blaming Fang Ning for her sister's accident and trying to get revenge was already a bit questionable to me, but the noble idiocy Fang Ning displayed was really the last straw for me. Like what the fck??? Her decision makes NO SENSE at all. Hello??? At least TALK to him first??? So you want him to chase his dream and not give it up for her. Why the heck would your first step be to throw a divorce agreement in someone's face and just LEAVE WITHOUT A WORD? WTF? And Ling Rui's decision to decline the opportunity was also stupid in the first place, especially without telling his wife at all. Not to mention just dashing off in the middle of an interview without saying a thing, and then just calling his FRIEND, not even the actual person hiring you, to say he's not going anymore. Like ????? Do you have any common sense / etiquette?? It's not like your wife has a terminal illness or you went through some trauma that can justify you being so unprofessional. Love doesn't have to mean being a noble idiot and giving up everything just cuz you "THINK" it's for the other person's own good. We're in the 2020's, okay?? Why am I still seeing these noble idiocy cliches that make no damn sense??

Title Begin Again
Wow, seeing how this had a 8.3 rating and it had a bit of buzz while it was airing, I was expecting this show to be decent. But 24 eps in, I can't believe how high the rating here is. I want to say this show is terrible, but I guess "terrible" might be a bit harsh. However, I am really finding this BORING and most importantly, the characters' actions/decisions just make me go like ???????? Are you kidding me??? Do you make any sense at all??? Do these people not even think of COMMUNICATING at all? Also, the female lead being the domineering one is quite refreshing at first, but she started getting too cheesy/corny for my liking. I also don't think the leads actually have that much chemistry, but they're tolerable I guess. Perhaps it'll get better when the kid comes in, but no matter how good the last 10 eps are, I don't think it can erase the noble idiocy crap they pulled in the first chunk of the show. This is one of the few dramas that I really can't help but use the 2.0x button to get through, especially when the characters start doing stupid stuff that makes you want to roll your eyes. I really, really wasn't expecting this show to be this average.
