Why is it that there are no episodes until March 4th?
It's only the first week that has episodes aired every day. After the first week, it's just six eps a week, two episodes every Fri/Sat and one ep every Sun/Mon.
Literally almost every character in this drama is unlikeable, except the FL, her uncle, and Nina. Maybe that chef who likes the cousin is okay too. But so far, everyone seriously has major issues. The second FL is one of the most ridiculous characters ever. So twisted. This kind of BS story is so old. This was filmed in 2019, but even then, this storyline was already rarely used. I already know the romance is gonna be terribly slow and they take forever to get together. I'd totally be dropping this already
Lmao guess I was the only one who almost died of boredom from this show T___T Really thought I would like it, but I was just majorly bored after enjoying the first few episodes. I guess the partial reason is I'm just not a fan of this type of ML. I think the cutting of scenes in this show was a bit odd too. A lot of things were just implied/conveyed to the audience through dialogue, esp relating to the Wenchuan. But I really liked Shan Yichun's song and also the sister's story. Otherwise, there honestly was no captivating plot. Just the steps of how the two leads relationship progresses with some family story thrown in there.
I will never understand the hype of this drama. How people manage to like the acting of the actors is just beyond…
You can't really compare dramas that are completely different genres. People also have diff standards for diff genres. Clearly people who watch this are not looking for something serious opposed to people who watch something like The Long Night. You just have to understand that people rate shows based on how much they enjoyed it, and not necessarily solely based on acting and originality. Esp when it comes to fluff. If a show does that well, it'll easily garner positive feedback from viewers who love romance. Don't take ratings that seriously. Online sites are not the Academy Awards. Most viewers don't evaluate shows in depth.
This show had cute vibes in the beginning, but my god this has a terrible plot. The worst stories are when the antagonists' reasoning makes no sense. Like wtf? The SFL is delusional over some accidental kiss?? The way she talks about how things would've been diff without An Xin like she ruined their chances is literally ridiculous. That effing happened like years ago??? An Xin didn't even appear till recently. If anything was gonna happen between you two, it would've already happened ages ago. Same thing with Ling Sheng... They could've built up his story slightly better instead of just throwing it in our faces in the last couple of episodes. The way he was so confident in himself just seemed so damn random. Also very disappointing that the truth of An Xin being a legitimate child of the Gu family and that the stepmother forged the DNA report was not revealed to the public, esp not to her father. The only saving grace of this show was the fact that the lead couple was overall pretty cute, but that was about it. I feel like the first half of the drama and the second half really don't connect well with each other. It just feels like a bunch of problems thrown in together without really having a central story or a main point. It really has you going like “Wtf am I even watching?”
Yeah, I honestly didn't like it either. Way too cheesy and cringe for my liking. Wasn't even that fluffy and cute like some people think. If you find this romantic and fluffy, you clearly haven't watched enough romance dramas. The romance indeed was mainly the leads being ridiculously cheesy and saying cringey lines half the time. The last couple of episodes were a lot better, but it's not enough fluff to make this a satisfying show, considering the ordinary plot. Many things I found were a bit unrealistic (like how a celebrity walks around with just a hat on and goes to a shopping mall to skate without any disguise) and the SFL's story was absolutely lame. I totally agree that there were a couple of useless scenes and that airplane scene at the end was so lame too. I also found it ridiculous that they would be staring like they're falling for each other in the game scenes when that clearly would not happen in an ACTUAL VIRTUAL GAME. Like come on, the players would not actually feel anything when their virtual characters "touch" each other, especially when it is some shooting game??? >.> I wouldn't call it a "bad show" and it's not insufferable to sit through or something, but it definitely was a disappointment.
This is happening bc the platforms are losing too much money at the moment - Youku for example lost ~CNY 3bn (~$450mm…
I honestly have no idea why people like to complain so much about this advanced viewing thing. It's kind of like having multiple tiers of VIP... What the heck is wrong with that? Who guaranteed a VIP subscription means you get ALLLLLL the top benefits? If people want to pay extra to watch faster than others while I don't want to fork out extra money, then good for them, they deserve to watch faster. If you don't want to pay, then just watch at the normal pace. Why do YOU have to be the fastest and most updated viewer? By paying for a normal VIP subscription, you still reap more benefits than a non-paying customer. Does paying for a plane ticket mean I should sit in first-class JUST because I paid some money to get on the plane? I, for one, am glad there is an option to watch episodes faster, esp if I really like the drama, instead of having to wait an extra two weeks+ to watch the ending. One thing I like about cdramas is how they air a lot faster than other asian dramas. Plus, it's just like how Viki has standard and PLUS subscription, and a lot of other companies who have different subscription packages. You get what you pay for. These subscription services are a business. They are not a charity. How are they going to bring you content if they don't make profits? I find people just feel so entitled and complain about everything.
This drama was entirely carried by the male lead. Lu Jing's passion for his love and fighting for his love is…
100% my thoughts. I thought I'd really like this drama, but some of their lines were like waaaayyyy too cheesy and some things really made me cringe. There were also things that just seemed a little too unrealistic to me. Like it’s just odd to me that a uni student would be so bold right off the bat to so actively chase after his idol... I guess it’s because they had been talking online a lot, but I still find it really awkward that he was so unbrazen right off the bat. And definitely agree with what you said about the SFL. At first, I totally thought her ex-bf died or something, but wtf??? He was just a stupid asshole? For that you gave up your career and still can't get out of it after so many years??? I'm sure there are ppl like this, but I dislike weak girls like this and will never understand them.
What is up with Iqiyi only letting you watch the first ep for free now. They've moved all their dramas to VIP.…
Greedy? Think about the American services like Netflix that let you watch NOTHING for free AND it costs like double the price... A business needs to earn money to be able to keep running and make content...
Overall was such an enjoyable drama with such GREAT comedic elements. Totally didn't expect to laugh so much in this show. Pretty much loved all the characters in the show (even Taecyeon and his craziness), though the tenants ticked me off just a LITTLE in the beginning. But in the end, everyone turned out to be great/cool and I LOVED how the gangsters in the beginning ended up joining the plaza family! Hahaha! I really love it when "villains" turn good and end up being very caring. Also loved my poor, poor Han Seo :'( But it was evident he would end up sacrificing... However, I think I have a small problem with the fact that Vincenzo did not have to pay any consequences for all the murders. I mean yes, those villains deserved everything they got and indeed, sometimes you just have to fight evil with evil, but I think I'm not very used to dramas having an anti-hero as a protagonist and seemingly glorifying evil acts. I was more expecting something shown on TV to deliver the message of eventually having to pay consequences for choosing extreme measures, even if the intentions are 'good'. Anyhow, this doesn't really affect how much I enjoyed this drama and would still totally recommend this! I am totally going to miss seeing Song Joong Ki's face T____T The last I watched him was in DOTS, so this drama totally reminded me how freaking handsome he is <333 Gaaaahhhh OFF TO DREAM ABOUT HIM
Overall, this is a decent and cute drama. I quite like the interview style and it was quite funny. However, it wasn't anything that tugged at my heartstrings. I can understand why people didn't like the main couple. I can't say the leads don't have chemistry, but at the same time, all I really felt was "Oh, they look good together. That's cute. That's sweet." Sadly, they didn't make me squeal or fangirl or anything. Maybe it's because I don't really like the sort of "love at first sight" tropes and the fact they supposedly loved so passionately in a two month frame. I do believe that DOES happen...but I think it's hard to fall hard for a romance without seeing much development. I also think Eun Oh's reason for hiding from him was a bit lame, but I do get what worries she had. I guess it's quite realistic as some people naturally try to run away from things when they feel uneasy or uncomfortable with something. But it certainly wasn't the best choice.
I loved all the side characters and I loooved that my dear Minho had a cute story of his own!! Ji Chang Wook was handsome as usual, but I think I have to give my vote to Minho for "Best-looking" in this show LOL
Can anyone tell me if LSG being a serial killer is like a major plot twist... Or is it pretty well-hinted in the beginning of the show? So annoyed I got spoiled even tho I didn't even try to read up about it ugh T___T Pls give a simple answer without spoiling anything else.
Can someone explain to me please. After finishing episode 35 I started to get confused with the ML character the…
Being book smart doesn't mean you have wisdom though. You can study your ass off and get good grades, but that doesn't necessarily mean you are "smart". His personality is very naive and pure, and he believes people should always do the right thing and not go against their conscience. He is not meant to be someone who is smart and powerful. The point of this show is telling you that being a hero doesn't necessarily mean being a smart person with amazing fighting skills. A hero is someone who is brave and willing to sacrifice oneself for the greater good. He may not be wise, but he is righteous and has very strong determination. You can be intelligent and capable, but if you don't have courage to go against the norm and simply just conform to the stronger powers, then you cannot accomplish anything great either. It is because he was brave and determined to maintain justice and make his country better that he was able to be help make a difference. Even if he was just following other people's orders, there's no doubt he still contributed greatly in ways other people wouldn't dare to do.
