If you see the way YGR acts around Seo Yeon Joo (inexperienced), it is pretty clear that Ha Joon Kyung was not an ex. Maybe she misunderstood their relationship and he never bothered to correct it, or she purposely misunderstands. She has got some problems, maybe even more so than YGR. My guess is that YGR views her as a little sister, and whatever happens next will be to protect her and everyone at the hospice.

Maybe I am just more empathetic and really can feel the story. Heck, I even feel bad for you not being able to get this drama. I would say if you are considering dropping it, drop it. You do not seem to be enjoying it, and your comments are not nice. It seems like you are used to making those comments, and will probably not stop the more you watch the drama. I do not think this drama will magically get better for you, and there is a break before new episodes. You gave it a try and it just did not click. Find something else to watch for your own well-being, and perhaps for others who are trying to enjoy the drama too.

It is hard for me to want a sad ending when we are dealing with immortals. That seems like a long time to be sad.

And there are plenty of dramas that seem to be at least 4 episodes too many.

I think part of the seemingly rushed ending is that while everything is addressed, it might not be resolved in the way the rest of the drama might lead you to believe. In Chinese historical or fantasy dramas, you never really know how the bad guys will be dealt with. I did not like how Rong Hao's story ended, but I was not totally surprised either. I never could quite get the ruler of Shuiyuntian. Perhaps there were supposed to be more scenes to show not all Moon Tribe members were bad and not all Fairies/Immortals were good. I was relieved because usually the politics and palace drama are things that I do not like anyways (especially in a sweeter romance drama).

It becomes just an ordinary drama if Team Genie cannot do their thing. I am not worried about that because Ha Joon Kyung might seem like she is going to be a typical SFL, but in reality she is just as hurt and in need of help as YGR (maybe even more so). If this drama is about healing, then she needs it too.

I believe it was the same power of the goddess that DFQC used to try to keep Tai Sui trapped at the end. The drama, especially the first half, created a rich world with a lot of little details that worked their way back throughout the story.

I think he should also be concerned with the fact that once she finds him, can the rest of his past be too far behind her? I hope that the focus is still kept on YGR as a member of Team Genie. He needs to heal and he needs to deal with his past, but I like seeing YGR interact with everyone, and JCW showcasing his acting prowess.

I thought it was pretty amazing as well. It was like an entire drama compressed into one scene. I am really liking how the drama never seems to want the viewer to suffer too much. If these stories got stretched out, they might become crushing. When she said she would be in his care tomorrow, you felt as if things would be okay (at least for another day).

I think it is a great drama. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a romance or fantasy drama. The drama constantly raised expectations throughout the first half, and was doing a great job until about episode 30. Speaking for myself, I began to sense that they had plenty of story, but not a lot of time to tell it. It became really noticeable around 35 and 36. Were it not for how amazing the previous episodes were, the last few might not have seemed as lacking. Still really good episodes and great moments, but rushed. That is why I was not satisfied. Not because I wanted more (of course, I do), but because I expected more. I do not think the drama was ruined by this, and if anything, it might be a silver lining. Had it been perfect, other dramas would have suffered even more by comparison.

I am not sure which episode, but when you see him as a kid, he was just like any other kid, perhaps even more emotional given his background. As others have said, he was forced to remove them to gain power to save his people. With one touch, Little Orchid set in motion its return. I forgot what they called the tree (his tree of love or emotion?), but it was always there even when it was frozen over, so I would like to think he was always willing to see its return.

I thought the ending was a bit rushed, but good since it managed to tie up most of the loose ends. I would not use the word satisfied because it implies that it met my expectations. From reading articles and comments, it seems even the drama wanted to do more. Still a great drama, and nothing wrong with not being perfect.

I can understand people's reactions to different looks, voices, and even ability. People buy music from one artist and not another. People buy clothing and items endorsed by some and not others. People watch certain dramas and movies, and not others. We are all constantly assessing, labeling, deciding, and ranking. That is just how we get by in the world. My problem would be if you have nothing nice to say, why say it? Or if you need to say it, why not say it in a way that does not make you look like a fool for saying it. People have feelings, people have family, and I am reasonably sure that most entertainers want to entertain you, not make you upset.
If someone thinks Yu Shu Xin's voice is not what they like to hear, and it prevents them from watching the drama, then say it. But say it and fade into the background. Watch it on mute, or better yet, find another drama to watch. Constantly saying it is not going to make me think her voice is annoying, but only make me think the commenter is annoying.

It was from Little Orchid, but subconsciously. It seemed to be a defense mechanism given all that occurred during the first episode. I suppose it could also just be a plot device. I am not sure how far you have gotten, but the drama does explain most things as it goes. Without spoiling too much, it marks the beginning of her journey to find out who she is.

I forgot to add the OST too. I knew this drama would affect how I viewed other dramas. I am currently watching one, and I felt like I was just watching it to watch it. Even though I have really enjoyed the previous episodes. I will have to watch it again.

I think this drama was an example of everything coming together to make a great drama. The right cast, the right crew, the right story and screenwriter, enough budget, willingness to promote by actors, timing of release, and enough courage to make choices that all seemed to pay off. There have been great dramas before, and there will be great dramas after, but they are rare overall. I think for a period of time, other dramas will suffer the comparison I will subconsciously make, but like a summer love, both parties will move on. Everyone from CLJ will go on to other projects, and I will find other great dramas to watch. The fact that I was able to watch it as it was airing, and to have a place like MDL to share it with others elevated the experience even more.
I feel the reason why this drama was so good and well-received is that it was a nice blend of romance and Xianxia. It was also had enough fluff that minimized the angst and annoying tropes. I may have wanted more episodes, but only after starting the drama. I think the shorter length (36) really works versus traditional Xianxia dramas (50+).

There must be some bland and dull people walking around because Yu Shu Xin seems to have gotten multiple servings of beauty and talent.

When there will not officially be another episode. You can probably "fool" yourself it is not over for a week, but your Saturday drama routine is when you will miss it again. Although it does mean I can sleep in for an extra hour or two.

I wonder how many viewers will hold out hope until Saturday.

I think you are missing the point if you think it was about who suffered more. It was never about the amount of suffering, but the depths of it. They both gave everything for each other.
