On Once We Get Married Oct 21, 2021
As of episode 14, I think this drama is better than the sum of its parts. It is nothing really new or special except that it seems new and special. The main couple just draws me into their story even if everything else is not up to par with them (a nice way of putting it).

A non-specific apology and the other party used the word misunderstanding. That is why celebrities and entertainment companies have PR departments. I guess that is to be expected, but it feels like watching a drama ending with a cliffhanger, and then it being cancelled so we never know how it ends. I guess it is time to "move along now" since it seems both sides have had their say publicly.

I think that if you are on the outside looking in on a situation, you should avoid making judgements until you have enough facts to support it. I suppose people cannot be stopped from having an opinion, but so little is known, how can that opinion be informed, let alone make a rush to judgement. How can the right thing be to believe them first no matter what? Maybe you do not mean it literally, but would a better way to express it be to simply be willing to listen and offer support? There is harm done by attacking the victim's story, but also having false victims too. I would like to think most issues could be solved privately, unless an agreement could not be reached, or it was some sort of criminal conduct involved. From a fan's perspective (if you are one), one of the difficult part of situations like this is that only harm can be done to one or both parties. If you are nice and supportive, you usually use kind words of encouragement and that is how it ends. Then there are fanatics who hurl harsh words towards whichever side they disagree with. There are even those who take it much further to launch criminal attacks against the side they disagree with.

Most of the time when I come across articles like this, I am not really interested in the facts, because they are usually none available. Or it falls into the "none of my business" category. I do like to go to the comment section and check on the state of humanity. I know this is a site for drama fans, so of course there will be a slant in favor of all things drama, but I think we can do better.

she is has more experience in acting
I saw that when I looked up her information. I do hope to see her in bigger dramas, even if it is as a SFL or a support role with a lot of screen time.

Short drama series with a rather bland story. Perhaps that was the reason the acting was a bit bland as well, with the exception of the FL. She carried the whole drama and made it watchable to me.

If we are just talking about popular dramas from 2021, then I would mention Falling Into Your Smile. It was good, but not great. It is even rated higher (on here) than Love O2O and Go Go Squid! which I do not quite understand. I thought the ML's acting was one note, and actually thought the FL was really good in her role which seems to be contrary to what the drama's comment section thinks.

Thank you for commenting, I don’t spend so much time in the comment section but am often on feeds. I love discussing…
Thanks for responding. I find that issues that are not dealt with or ones that are dealt with poorly are the ones that I am most critical of and should have no place in dramas. I would categorize issues that are resolved in a way that shows respect for the characters and the viewers under teachable moments. I do think that as viewers of a world (drama) that we ourselves do not belong makes it easier to see such a world in black and white and not in shades (homage to your article) of grey that all worlds must have. I do not want to speak for others, but the fact that we can be privy to characters' inner thoughts, private meetings, illegal, heartbreaking, or past and future moments play a role in how I view interactions between characters. It is still a case by case basis, and still important to see that whatever happens is still dealt with properly, but I think that the relationship a viewer has with the drama can influence the way you see a drama as well.

I am a fan of the 24 episode fluffy Chinese romantic comedy, but I would never confuse a drama with reality. My goal is not to defend any sort of action, nor be that critical of a drama either, but dramas need these sort of situations, because after all, dramas are exaggerated conflict, emotions, and life in general. I do think that writers can and should do better in cleaning up messes that they write in their dramas. You stalk someone, the authorities should be called. You lie or cheat and you should suffer for it. If we are to accept that these situations are part of a drama (and I think to some extent we must), it must be made clear the consequences of such actions. Too many times it becomes a matter of who has the most power or who is more right or wrong when that just kicks the problem down the line for another time.
I do think that the comment sections of dramas on MDL offer a place to discuss things we enjoy or have problems with in dramas.

I thought the drama was pretty good, although I did find that everything seemed to be muted compared to most other dramas I have seen. Bai Lu is amazing, but I imagine most people already knew that. I thought the actresses in general really carried the drama. The actors did not seem to match the level the actresses did. There seemed to be a lot of romance without a lot of romance which is not Bai Lu's style, but she made it work.

It was an okay drama. I do wish that Seo Ye Hwa would get a main lead role because in most dramas I have seen her in, she makes the most of her screen time.

Just You, Fall in Love With Me, and Refresh Man are some of my favorite dramas overall. I have to say I am a Puff Kuo, Tia Li, and Joanne Tseng fan, but Aaron Yan was the ML in all three. I have not seen any of his recent dramas, but he deserves credit for how good those three dramas were.

The FL is pathetic. Why J drama female lead almost always act like that???🙄
I thought the FL was the opposite of pathetic. I do think she was naive, and perhaps overly enthusiastic. She affected change in everyone around her, and for the better. I think the romance was over the top for the usual dramas I watch, but much more realistic in terms of showing each other affection. Some dramas have kisses in dramatic moments, like they are some expensive dinnerware you bring out on special occasions. Other drama kisses are like a grocery list that you check off as you go shopping. For this drama, they really are attracted to each other and... shocker... they kiss a lot and usually end up doing more. That is much more in line with the reality of two people dating and living together.

I don't think so... Maybe 20% are here exclusively for the BL.And it's not something to be proud.
What I share as my opinion is my opinion. I never claimed any authority, but I do think that facts speak for themselves. I do find humor in being cast as a police patrol when (hold on let me count) I was behind at least four others, including you. Honestly all it called for was a simple apology to the poster. There was no need for a "yeah, but" moment. You misunderstood, the poster clarified or at least attempted to explain the misunderstanding, the poster meant no harm, so we can all let down our guard. The poster seems to have a positive attitude about it, lessons are learned, it did not turn into an offensive, profane wordfest, so I think it is a win all the way around. Well except for the other (what did you call it?) police patrols who have hopefully learned something from the discussion. Look for the best in responses, ask for clarification, and do not post anything that you would not be willing to show someone you care about.

Title My Fated Boy Spoiler
If that is the limit of your imagination, I can understand why you think the way you do.
It was never going to work out for Lin Yang and Xie Nan Ke, even if there were no Lu Zheng An. She would have always been second to his work, and they just respected each other too much to be a bit selfish and shameless towards each other in the pursuit of love and happiness. Lu Zheng An seemed to have always been preparing to love Lin Yang forever, and patiently waiting for her to return that love.

Yes, you got too carried away. Yes, you could have said it in a different way. Yes, you were not polite at all. I do think you improved at being more polite with your current response. I do think while you could have said it in a different way, the overall tone signaled you attempted to understand what was said. You still got too carried away, but it is a fan site. Thoughts, opinions, and passion can overflow at times. I do think that there is always something lost in translation, and even someone with total mastery over English might be unable to express themselves or their thoughts and feelings in such a way to be understood by all who read or listen. The original poster did not deserve the negative reaction that was piling up.

Thanks. I speak some French (not a lot), and if I had to say anything of significance in French, it would not come off nearly as well as your English. I hope none of this needless abuse towards you deters you from participating in discussions about this or any other drama.

The only people shaming were the ones that were quick to assume the worst and attack like you. Will your pride allow you to accept that you misjudged the poster and apologize?

The two of you were quick to assume the worst and attack. Will you be so quick to be humbled and apologize to the original poster?
