Hey, do you when the leads are going to be together or atleast when the FL will start liking the ML also where…
The iQiyi international website had a sale on their yearly VIP that I got, so that is where I watch it. I was not sure where else it might be available.

I think clips might be misleading, or at least do not tell the whole story. At first she treats him cold and distant because he is a stranger to her, while she is not a stranger to him (there is a backstory). It does not feel one-sided, more like the ML has taken 99 steps and patiently waiting for the FL to just take one. She does have her reasons for acting the way she does. Maybe I am over-romanticizing it, but I find their relationship rewarding as a viewer. That is my take as of episode 14.

Technically, they are together from the beginning since they are married. As far as the FL starting to like the ML, I cannot pinpoint the exact episode, but it is pretty early. It is not all lovey-dovey if that is what you meant by liking him, but more along the lines of getting comfortable with him and starting to let her guard down. The drama is just really well done. I do want to reiterate this is not a 24 episode Chinese romantic comedy with lots of fluff and swooning. The drama does make it clear that she is warming up to him.
I am watching it on iQiyi's international site.

Title The Lion's Secret Spoiler
The Lion's Secret is that this drama is really good as of episode 8. If you took the time to reveal this spoiler to see someone appreciating the drama... kudos. It draws you in, and has a little bit of everything you would want in a drama. If you clicked the spoiler because you are curious, then get curious and check out an episode or two. I think you will like it.

In a bubble world where only the main leads exist, it was a really good drama. Almost everything else seemed to drag on the drama. Perhaps because there was not enough time for chemistry to develop between anyone else. I do think it is hard to be too critical of a drama that was probably only two hours long. I felt like I got my two hours' worth, and will keep and eye out for the main leads' works (and Cho Mi Yeon since she was really good in Replay, and made the most of her time in this drama too). In regards to a plot twist, I thought it seemed to lighten up the overall somber plot of the drama.

I am enjoying the series for what it is, and that is fine for me. Another classic 24 episode Chinese romantic comedy that is entertaining.
Perhaps it is just me, but did Cheng Xiao have two different makeup artists working with her on set? She looked like she had two different looks from time to time, sometimes in the same scenes. That is not a criticism of her. I liked her in Falling Into Your Smile, and I like her here as well. As of episode 12, the drama does not give a lot of chances for the cast to shine.

i genuinely enjoyed that drama so much while it was airing and the ending threw me off so weirdly, i was hella…
I just assumed that the drama was so popular in South Korea that in order to prevent the ending from being spoiled, the plan was to leak a fake script. The unpaid intern responsible for leaking the draft got the original and fake ones reversed which is why the final episode was so shockingly disappointing and upsetting.
I actually thought there were several times in the last episode where the actors looked just as confused by what was going on as I was.

Shi Shi's music is straight up amazing, especially the song from Behind Your Smile. This list is missing Aaron…
110% agree with you about Aaron Yan. Maybe some of my favorite Taiwanese dramas are the ones he has lead in, but I still watch and listen from time to time. Some of his OST videos are amazing productions on their own.

I think you should mark your comment as spoiler.
I put a spoiler on it, but all I did was use most of the information from the plot summary.

Title Love at Night Spoiler
I think if I was going to advise someone starting this drama, I would let them know that this is not a romantic comedy, not fluffy, and not the usual role for Zhang Yu Xi. I am about a third of the way into it and I am liking it. I would not even call this a melodrama, more like real life where relationships are not like dramas. I like both lead characters, especially how they portray the tension building between them. I have seen quite a few comments about cheating, but I think for each person the distinction drawn between thought/action/intensity is different so viewers might see the same thing, but feel different about what they are watching. The SML admitted to his indiscretion, so I would label him a cheater in his relationship with the FL when they were together. That is in addition to his other toxic behaviors. I also think that the FL is a cheater as well, but in a different way, and perhaps even worse than the SML because she is our FL (and Zhang Yu Xi) and we have expectations. She chose to give the SML a second chance in spite of the growing feelings for the ML, and the ambivalence she is having in the relationship. I would say that is cheating the relationship (towards marriage), the SML (regardless of his behavior), the ML (their growing feelings), and herself (opportunities for happiness). I actually think this bodes well for her development as a character and really enjoying Zhang Yu Xi in the role. There is plenty of time to work on all the issues and plot, and plenty of time for some romantic moments between the leads. For not being a fluffy romantic comedy, I am finding it an easy watch. I am also interested in how the other two pairings will work out. I will say I liked Li Si Qi's Tang Ping in Begin Again, and she is playing the same sort of enjoyable character.

The believable chemistry of the main couple made the drama enjoyable, even through some not so enjoyable moments in the rest of the drama. I am glad that the main focus of the drama was on the main couple. An excellent portrayal of a passionate couple who valued their relationship the entire drama. They wanted to chase their dreams individually, yet loved fated their dreams together. Whatever I would choose to rate this drama overall, the main couple is responsible for almost all of it.

I finished watching this one recently, and thought it was okay. Interesting mechanism for time travel, short enough to not get boring or tedious, and I liked that it was set up so that there could be more seasons with different cast. I have to compliment Kim Yi Seo's acting. She made Ji Hye Min stand out in her scenes.

I think it was understandable. There are a lot of things I'd complain about this drama, but this was understandable…
I suppose we all make sense of the senseless in our own way.

I just watched it. It was the prenuptial agreement. I am still not sure what he was looking at it for at that particular time, but like you, I have no clue how these things work. I will chalk it up to drama magic. I still think it is all flimsy plot connecting regardless of watching it another time. I think there could have been more interesting ways for the SFL to discover the existence of the contract and then get a copy of it. Dramas want you to believe that should marriage contracts become public, it can take down a large corporation and ruin many lives. The odd thing is that no one seems to need to pull a Mission Impossible heist to get a copy. It is in a open folder, a unlocked drawer, on a computer that is not password protected, or somehow falls out of a folder at a critical moment. Granted, it is a drama and it might be just as unbelievable if the SFL could be some skilled hacker or thief.

I need to look at it again. I thought the only way the SFL could have found out about the contract marriage was for him to be looking at the marriage contract. I did not think he was looking at the contract between CICI and his mall.

He chose to look at it at that moment. If he was planning to confront the SFL or thought the SFL would visit him first, it makes no sense to have the contract just hanging around. Even worse that he hid it like a school kid would hide a comic book from a teacher. He should have shredded it the moment it became voided (they fell in love).

Well said as usual John! Love reading your reviews. Thank you!
I think it is worse if they are watching it supervised. At least they could feign ignorance if they got caught watching it.

I blame poor parenting for allowing children to watch something rated TV-MA.
