Perfect example of a drama ruined by the ending
I agree, and I see what you did there. A perfect comment that is missing the punctuation at the end.

Am I the only one who felt like luo tian was going to end up together with “Uncle”, LZA’s cousin?? Sad it…
There are plenty of dramas that tend to go that route by pairing everyone up at the end, but in this case, I thought it might have trivialized the love each character had for the mains.

Jeremy Meeks is incredibly popular and every male serial killer and mass murderer, even the ugly ones, gets fanmail…
What? That makes so little sense that it is borderline dangerous thinking.
Popular qualities that women might be attracted to can include handsomeness, fame, or power, but I think delinquency (especially since the term implies being a minor) and abusive behavior would be far, far down the list of reasons women are attracted to men.

It's impossible to imagine a worse ML than the guy in this drama,Absolutely no self esteem, cuckold, clingy, whiny…
If that is the limit of your imagination, I can understand why you think the way you do.

Title My Fated Boy
I have to disagree with this drama feeling more like a Korean drama than a Chinese drama. My Fated Boy came across…
I thought the FL did a much better job of not being a one note cold lead than male counterparts in other dramas. I do think both leads suffered because there were too many important characters packed in to what was essentially a 24 episode Chinese romantic comedy drama (29 episodes by 35 minutes, instead of 24 by 45).
This is a drama fan site, so you have to expect to read just about anything in any comment section. I think when people spend time (and sometimes money) to watch a drama, they can (and hopefully?) get emotionally invested in it. When they see comments they like, they might just read and smile. When they see comments they do not like, they feel like you are talking about their drama and regardless of whether you are respectful, logical, or even right, they attack. Most people probably fall somewhere between the two.

Dramas tend to omit any sort of realistic healing phase unless they do a time skip and even then, you never see what happens. I suppose if you look at it in the most pessimistic sense, the FL had problems from the very beginning. Getting him in trouble, dressing him up as a girl, and things like that. The drama had mentioned the ML had fitness training, but never really got to see her doing too much to improve herself. I thought it was going to be something like a mini-Oh My Venus (Korean drama), and that might have been a route to have them grow closer. I never really got the character of the cousin. He was this big shot lawyer, but always had time to meddle in others' business, but no time to court the FL? In spite of all that, I really liked the drama. For the drama it was, it was good.

I have to disagree with this drama feeling more like a Korean drama than a Chinese drama. My Fated Boy came across as a fluffy Chinese romantic comedy version of the Korean drama Something in the Rain. There might be other dramas to compare, but it is one that probably many are familiar with. I thought the female lead was more uncomfortably comfortable than stiff. A lot of Chinese romantic comedies have a cold male lead and warm female lead. The roles were reversed here. I have seen a lot of cold characters that come across as one note characters, and then suddenly change. She was actually much better than a lot of cold male characters I have seen in dramas. She seemed more fluid in that respect by not going overboard and being dynamic.
I also feel like chemistry might have been a lot better with a different casting choice. I feel like it might have been a lot worse with a different casting choice too.

Why do you think it was the best episode?
So you did not like the drama overall, but thought the last episode was the best out of a drama you did not like. Being soured on the whole experience might have made the last episode seem less unusual than it might have if someone enjoyed the previous 15. I did not consider that. I just thought viewers would like it, then not like the ending, or not like it, and really not like the ending. I should have considered the not liking and not really caring about the parts a viewer might not like.
I was not really disappointed by the open ending itself. I actually think those who liked the drama were more disappointed that the final episode veered so far away from the previous 15, that it seemed almost written by another person. For me, it seemed like I could even see the confusion on the leads' faces as they were saying and doing stuff that was ridiculous.

I can't believe people rate this amazing drama so low.
The last episode did the drama no favors when it came to giving it a final rating. It was an easy, breezy romantic comedy that was heavy on the comedy and chemistry between the cast. Episode 16 has made me apprehensive about final episodes in general. I have tried watching a few final episodes of dramas I have already seen, and still cannot shake the feeling that something is going to ruin the experience.

Yep completely agree. Unnecessary angst for what? The handled those problems so we'll. From the boss to the parents.
I completely agree with your agreement on my comments. Very astute. The drama sort of hinted that the parents might be a problem, but the prologues and parental interactions never had me doubting they were going to be anything but supportive. Both bosses were really good people.

Title My Fated Boy
This is an excellent drama. Other drama writers should take notes on how consistent the characters were here. I do not mean they were not dynamic or did not have growth, but I always felt the characters were being who they were. Way too many dramas try to develop a character or plot by having characters get what I called "sporadic surprising stupidity syndrome" or S4 to keep it short. A character's personality or habits will suddenly change because something needs to happen and cannot happen if they were just being themselves. Or a simple misunderstanding (which happens to everyone from time to time) becomes some monumental, cascading point of failure because the drama is 36 episodes and there is only 24 episodes worth of quality drama. None of this happens with this drama. It is still a drama, and of course there are some unbelievable parts. I would rather my dramas be too fluffy and optimistic like this one, rather than too much unnecessary angst and circling back to a happy ending like many others.

I am on episode 26, and while I have enjoyed all the prologues, that one was really moving. Seeing how much Lu Zheng An meant to Lin Yang was rewarding to the viewers, especially after an earlier one where he cried when he found out he was leaving and she calmed him down.

I thought the drama was pretty good and stayed true to the original drama. It does seem to lack some of the passion and overall weight that the original one had. The issue I struggled with while watching is comparing them to the original cast of the Korean drama. I thought Khemanit Jamikorn was really good, but she has to be compared to Kim So Yeon. Thitipoom Tacha-apaikun seemed too youthful looking in comparison with Sung Joon. Kannaporn Puangtong as the SFL really showed strong presence, especially versus the SML who lacked any sort of presence on screen. In his defense, the SML role in the Korean version seemed lightweight as well.
I enjoyed watching it. I do think it is a safe and mild remake which may appeal to some who might found the Korean version too spicy.

The discussion section is as fascinating as the article itself. Good food for thought! Women are always judged…
I do not think it is fair or true to use terms like always, everywhere, and every when stating that women are judged more harshly than men. One example off the top of my head would be men being judged more harshly for being a homemaker versus a woman who is a homemaker or even versus a woman who chooses to have a career.

An excellent point about the distinction between antagonist and villain. I had scanned my watchlist and realised…
I am actually inclined to believe it might be true, but only use anecdotal to signal that it is only an opinion and one for which I do not have a lot of evidence to support it being factual. There are a lot of things I "feel" to be true, but I really cannot point someone to comprehensive research on the subject. I have seen quite a few drama comment sections and some actor and actress pages on MDL, and there are really not nice people that write not nice things to just about everyone and everything.
What I have noticed from MDL is that actresses face more negative comments than actors. Female characters also seem to face more criticism as well. If you are more beautiful than talented, someone is sure to point that out. If you are more talented than beautiful, someone seems to point that out as well. I guess both are okay, but it is usually presented in a way that seems more harmful than benign.

I have to say that I liked that you called it an excellent point. You seem to be pretty bright as well. I do disagree with the "truth universally acknowledged" however. Even if it were true, the statement still makes it a biased question. I do think that male and female villains get written differently by writers, interpreted differently by the cast and crew, and seen differently through the eyes of the viewers. I have seen anecdotal evidence that would suggest actresses get treated differently than actors, often to their detriment.

We should all strive to be responsible with the power we have to share our thoughts with the rest of the world.
