I thought that Season 1 was pretty good. Sometimes I thought I was watching a movie because the cinematography was so good at times. A lot of good chemistry all around. Zhang Yi Shang was vibrant as the FL. I do think that they could have moved episodes from the end of Season 1 to Season 2 for more better flow. It was like watching a whole drama and a part of another drama.
The acting of the main leads can be so good at times, you might just overlook the story.
For some people, even if a drama and acting are 9.9, they will only focus on the 0.1. You might think it is the best drama ever, the worst one ever, or more likely somewhere in between. The first few episodes are free to watch so you can decide for yourself. I thought the drama was less about the story and acting, and more about the chemistry driving the character interactions.
Correct me if I'm wrong but according to me a girl would definitely try all the ways and means to not break up…
I think people and relationships are too complicated to make broad generalizations like that. In the context of a healthy and stable relationship, why would someone end it? I do think that dramas tend to simplify things to the point where you cannot help but to make generalizations on how certain roles are perceived.
This is one of those conundrum shows for me. First half was amazing. I was convinced I would give it 10/10. But…
The first time it was mentioned he was a top student along with the fact she was studying history should have clued you in to the fact he was going to eventually be a professor to see her. He only became a professor to be able to see her since he thought he wiped her memories. He did not go there to roleplay a scandalous teacher-student relationship (although they both are adults). I think it did seem a little awkward because Woo Yeo was able to voice what he was thinking without any filter. Lee Dam seemed to realize that and tried to reassure him. Not that the drama was without red flags. I thought the fact he was a fox spirit was a red flag. The SML was also throwing them all over the place. There was quite a bit of toxic (undesirable) behavior from everyone. The love triangle, the friends, the second couple.... no one was perfect. It is hard to have a romance based drama without red flags and/or certain levels of toxic behavior otherwise a FL would choose the nice, sweet SML in a lot of dramas.
Im planning to watch this drama BUT IF THIS DOESNT HAVE THE SAME STEAMY SCENES like the novel does. I'LL FCKING…
Do not watch it, as it does not have the same steamy scenes that the novel contains. If you riot with more caps and self-censoring profanity, what if someone gets hurt from laughing too hard?
I felt sad for ning fang at that moment. I like ning fang as he has been very helpful, polite and very supportive…
There is just not enough time left in the drama (I have watched up to 18) to do anything more than give them an implied happy ending. It is just as well because I was not really invested in either of their characters.

There was a scene when Ning Fang and Lin Wei ran into each other when she first got back to China. Apparently they had met before. It seemed both remembered each other fondly. Lin Wei also expressed that she viewed the potential marriage of her and the ML as more family business than personal. You put that together, add as dash of drama magic, and voila, they are together.
Episode 9: Even if I like their couple, why does he have to act childish, and the end of the episode chommal ?…
From the previous episodes where we get a bit of a glimpse at his youth, he had to grow up pretty fast to survive. Anything that was not related to making money was locked up in his heart, so even though he is grown, these are new emotions for him to have and express. That is why I think he acts like he did.
An enjoyable watch of a less fluffy, extended length, 24 episode Chinese romantic comedy. I was not impressed with Xu Kai's portrayal of Lu Si Cheng in Falling Into Your Smile, saw this and figured I would see if a change in directing and writing might make a difference. It did. He was much more dynamic here, and showed a wider range of emotions while still staying in character. I felt nothing for Prince Mu because I was unable to connect with his character, but I thought that Xu Kai did a really good job of delivering some complicated and often roller coaster emotions consistently throughout the drama. I think it is worth checking out, especially if you like those breezy, fluffy, 24 episode Chinese romantic comedies. The FL (Wu Jai Yi) was good too, but like FIYS, perhaps a bit constrained by the character.
If I had to mention some things that I did not like, it would be the fact that this drama (and quite a few others too) seem to choose an exceptionally beautiful woman to disguise as a man. I do not expect to get fooled, but I would hope I would have to look a little harder to notice it. Otherwise, I am always thinking everyone is a fool for not seeing it. Very minor issue. I also thought it seemed like two different, but related dramas. There seemed to be a shift between the first 2/3 and the last 1/3 that did not flow as smooth as I would have liked. Nothing egregious, just some things that could have been better.
He definitely didn't see that purse for nothing :(
I know he is just a gear in the machine that moves the story forward, but I am glad to see someone else would be willing to call him out on his actions. I guess it is better than an "evil" second lead or supporting character who purposely did it. I guess I should have expected that from someone who constantly gave romance advice, yet had no clue his crush liked his friend.
Not to defend Sun Woo, but he has not really done anything horrible. Flawed, yes. Uncomfortable, yeah. Most people…
That is not how gambling works, and not how trafficking works either. That being said, he was wrong to do that, but there are a lot of wrong things that happened during the drama. He did pay a price for his actions. I have been consistent in referring to his character in a less than positive light. Apparently to you, it is not about how I respond or what I believe, but how you respond to what you believe about me. If you are going to make personal attacks on me so harshly, can we at least have opposing points of view? We agree that Sun Woo was lacking. The drama seemed to pick up when his appearances lessened. His last few scenes were either hollow or self-serving, neither which would have changed my mind about him. Maybe we do not agree on how lacking he was or how much of a difference it made, or maybe we did and just used different words to express it.

I am going to do you a huge favor and give you a more restrained response than the one you gave me. I never said it was not wrong. I said there were far worse things, and listed some when you asked me what I thought was horrible. Making a bet involving a third party and buying someone are two totally different things. I am not sure how you could know the way I think based on your erroneous assessment of my response. Most people think I am nice. Probably nicer than I really am. Have I done awful things? Yeah, I never said I was perfect. I do not feel I have done anything awful to you.
I think people enjoyed the love stories, the fantasy of a finding true love, the beautiful looking people, and…
Nothing wrong with having a guilty pleasure. If all we did was read textbooks and academic journals while only watching documentaries, the world was just not be the same. I am not going to save the world watching romantic comedies, and they definitely do not make for practical advice on romance. I will still watch them though. Moon Ga Young and Shin Se Kyung are also among my favorite actresses.
I do not understand why they made Gyeom look like he was at death's door from the accident only for it to be a light concussion. Probably because the breakup could have been avoided if Ja Sung and Jang Chan knew it was no big deal. Thinking my love for someone might have killed my best friend versus getting drunk and doing something silly stupid are two different things. Ahh, classic Korean drama's unusually convenient plot pusher strikes again.
Yup. An average score of 10 is just not possible. For everyone that rates it a 10, there could be someone coming…
I think I would much rather watch a drama first, then read the work it was based on. When I am reading, my imagination can be boundless. When I am watching a drama, it is constrained by what I see. I think I might also actively compare the two since I tend to do the same with remakes.
I am known for being very lenient when it comes to dramas. Beautiful people, comfortable acting, believable romance, and little to no drag. If there has to be melo, it should be the fluffy marsh type. If it checks these, it should make for a really good drama to me.
