Financial (looking for more revenue streams) or government (don't want to get on their bad side) reasons I could believe, but technical issues from a multi-billion dollar technology and entertainment conglomerate?
Get the sick and the injured in front of the screens because possibly the greatest drama in the history of dramas is going to finally see the light of day! Come on, there are still a few days to build this drama up to unbelievable heights of greatness...
I think an open ending is an ending that is unresolved and implies there is more story to be told. The last scene…
That is not what open ending means (the definition is closer to my thoughts), but you know what is going on, so it is not a big deal.
Open ending in this drama means that we did not see who was under the umbrella, which leaves questions viewers would want answered. I am not sure if the movie was planned from the beginning, or if the drama was so popular that it was able to get funding for a movie. I do hope that whether it was planned or not, that it can be a worthy ending to a great drama.
I am not sure if making a great romantic xianxia is possible as much as it is only realized after completion. Requiring collective effort and a bit of good fortune means just about everything has to go right just to reach an audience, let alone have the viewers fall in love with it. Dazzling chemistry, captivating story, complimentary OST, and attention to detail were all great. But it got the funding, seemingly needed minimal editing (censorship), the time slot, viewing platforms, and great promotion. That was important as well. I do hope that I will come across other dramas that viewers will say is as good as or the next Love Between Fairy and Devil, but I will not hold my breath. I enjoyed the comprehensive article, and feel this drama is one that will become a classic (and watched for a long time) for many of the reasons you mentioned.
going to be the person that y'all find annoying but i can't help it 🤷 is there any romance? don't come at me…
There is romance as Seo Min Hyeok likes Baek Ma Ri, and tries (unsuccessfully so far) to pursue her. As others might have said, there is chemistry between the leads, and hints of romance that might be shared in the past of the ML. I do not find your question annoying, but really seems to lack perspective. This drama is all unfolding for viewers, so it is hard to say where the story will go. Romance is also a word that has different meanings for each person. It is also difficult to know what criteria for "romance in a drama" would one use. I would suggest that if you need romance in a drama to watch it, wait until this is finished airing to ask since checking constantly might spoil some of the other surprises that this drama has in store for viewers. You are certainly free to ask and check as much as you want, but it has been my experience that not everyone who spoils uses spoilers, and that can put a damper on the viewing experience. Plus, sometimes you are forced to spoil fish to look for the answers you want, and you never know what you will end up reading.
S1 is not Open Ending lol.(Main leads likes each other)In upcoming movie sequel FL will meet ML and they will…
I think an open ending is an ending that is unresolved and implies there is more story to be told. The last scene of this drama is a perfect example of an open ending.
This drama is confusing in terms of what it shows, how it shows it, and what it wants to make you feel. The main couple chemistry is very good, and they look good together. The drama is surprisingly fluffy and light given the weight of all that is going on. I am curious as to how it will all turn out.
I watched it when it first aired back in January, and thought it was the best drama I had seen in 2022 (maybe ever). Sometimes I (we) have the tendency to remember past dramas more fondly than the ones we are currently watching, so I decided to watch it again. Still the best drama of 2022.
Episode five came out of nowhere with a dark and mysterious tone, but the cast delivered.
Ma Ri is intelligent, beautiful, and rich, so why doesn't she keep a pair of shoes with her when she has to walk in the woods. Or do any sort of extended walking.
Or you end up in bed with an unbelievably handsome guy who turns out to be rich and powerful and needs you to…
Without a doubt, many of these scenarios are factually detached from reality even considering they are amplified for dramatic effect. For the scene in this drama, I would question was it really necessary. Did she really have to get that drunk? Unfortunately, viewers see scenes like this so many times that it starts to appear normal behavior, even expected.
I know. If someone read me the synopsis and then told me that in the first few episodes, I would see Alzheimer's,…
You will probably have to wait until the very end and read a summary of the last episode and decide. I do not think it is so easy to know right now, especially since a happy or sad ending for this drama might not be what viewers are used to.
We got our token drunk off her bum FL in this drama as well.Good to see Kdrama writers being consistent in spreading…
Or you end up in bed with an unbelievably handsome guy who turns out to be rich and powerful and needs you to pretend to be his girlfriend/wife. Or maybe that is Chinese dramas where they do not exactly do much better.
Surprisingly watchable so far up till ep14, but I have a feeling I might not enjoy watching it much once FL’s…
I know. If someone read me the synopsis and then told me that in the first few episodes, I would see Alzheimer's, ALS, suicide, and family issues, I would say major tear-jerking melodrama and walk away. I am confused because it seems fluffy, but it should not be. I hope it does maintain the light feel, but these are really serious issues that will have to be dealt with at some point. Are we being lured into a melo-van by a stranger with sweet drama scenes? I feel like I will be apprehensive with every episode I start.
