Ok it was good. Very aesthetic. Loved the Thai-Chinese-Peranakan influence. While I supported Teh, I like that the show punishes bad decisions. It’s great that there’s consequences to every of Teh’s bad decisions. He’s so indecisive and yet every time he makes a decision, it’s a bad and reckless one.

This drama was the epitome of teen angst haha but it’s great, I liked how the story unfolded.

Also the two moles on PP’s face… you have my heart

This is gonna be my first Thai BL drama. Since my unfortunate experience with several Thai web series in 2015, I’ve avoided Thai web series like the plague because they have bad acting, bad script, bad plot… just bad. Unfortunately most Thai BLs are web series so I’ve avoided them too. However, I’m just two episodes in this drama and the production quality is great, so is the script and acting. Love the Peranakan Phuket setting. It’s very cool seeing residential aspect of Phuket.

a pretty decent watch. i actually liked the first half since it was a very easy to watch rom com. didnt care much about the hacker arch, it was dragged out for too long. gotta say i love the myanmar eps, although the male lead's behaviour got more and more questionable. however, the last few episodes were pretty hard for me to watch, and at some point i felt like i was watching an early 2000s korean melodrama (although this was supposed to be a rom com??).

it is quite tropey though, and the cliches here are also ever present in a lot of thai dramas, like
1. bak kaeng trope (tian's very tight lipped about his feelings for muey, well because of what other reason than his huge ego)
2. trapping the female lead in a relationship with pregnancy trope (yeah like why do they do this?? also how did muey get pregnant so quick, they banged for like 3 weeks and BAM she's pregnant. i swear thai female leads are like the goddess of fertility or something. and also u saying this whore of a guy who used to sleep around dk how to use protection? if this drama were just 3 epsiodes longer, his children with randoms he slept with from the past will start popping up i swear)

tian is quite foxy at times but at other times he's giving me the sleazy vibes. a lot of his actions are questionable. tbh i didnt care if he was mean to her when he didnt have feelings for her, but i hated how controlling and obsessive he got when he realised muey might actually walk away.

the best thing about this drama is that mark prin is half naked every other episode tbh.

at ep 5 and im kinda lost w the whole hacker thing... like whats the motive lololololol. the poem medley is kinda funny i guess, but the whole hacker arc seems dragged out

Yeah exactly… I would’ve preferred if they gave more time to other more likeable side characters and maybe given some focus on showbiz. But instead they went the psycho predator and hurt friend revenge route… in the beginning I was alr dreading the male lead’s mummy issues but I was still willing to let that one pass.

Also I totally agree on making this drama shorter. It would’ve benefitted from having less eps tbh

personally not a fan of the revenge thriller in ep 10. but i guess now that the leads are together they gotta add something to the plot... i liked this drama because it was rather an easy watch, but the increased focus on annoying characters in the past few episodes is making it slightly harder for me o get through the episodes

I didn’t expect much from this but I quite like it. It’s a light hearted and fun rom com. The side characters are also very enjoyable to watch. I feel like the male leads acting is a bit awkward, especially when he’s filming the acting scenes in the drama. (Lol an actor acting as an actor acting as an actor) but this is a light hearted rom com so I’m not v picky w the acting, most of the time I didn’t care tbh when I was binging the show

Haha as I said, I found the romance uncomfortable so it was hard for me to continue. Trust me, I really tried. I’ve been saving this drama for a good day before I started watching it because of the good reviews but the romance just was not it for me.

I’m Asian and grew up in a culture where everyone calls anyone brother/sister but I still felt uncomfortable since they were all brought up almost like siblings since young. In the first half of the show they kept stressing the sibling dynamic between the three of them but suddenly once the show wanted the romance to begin, ling xiao just turned into “the neighbours son”.
After the romance started I just wasn’t invested in the show anymore because the genre kinda changed from a family drama to romance

Oh yes the CCTV and fireworks part do kind of imply that there mighttt be magic. Guess the show wanted a more ambiguous ending

It’s not really magic magic but it’s more of the magic of understanding and empathy? If you notice only people who went through the same struggles as Ri Eul can experience his magic

Didn’t he enlist in the military or something? But I’m sure he has a good career ahead of him
