I really wanna watch a historical drama and this drama but i see that the FL wants to start a business and I FEEL TIRED already. I’ve seen 10000 dramas with FL starting a business and using lame modern day marketing for her business. Please can anyone tell me if there’s anything unique that might make me wanna tide through the business plot. or if better still the business plot is a small part of the drama?

Try to read the comments explaining ep 9 in this thread. I assure you 100% wichai loves anong but is pushing her away because of multiple reasons, such as guilt because of his ex wife, lack of self worth and self esteem, difference is social status, and the fact that he thinks he’s dying. He also is very aware that anong loves him. He looks so torn and miserable in that car scene. Even in this ep anong realised that wichai does not owe her anything even if she loves him.

These past few eps serve as a turning point in their relationship. Without these wichai would just continue acting clueless lol. At least now he’s giving some response and showing us his heartache. From here there will be more confrontations between wichai and among and that’s how they grow to better understand each other.

tbh we dk if it’s terminal yet becaude not much has been said, but I think wichai suspects that it’s the same disease that his father had. Still I’m pretty sure he won’t be dying young

I was confused too about whether wichai liked janthorn because of the train ticket. But when it was revealed that he refuses to love anyone because of his illness and his presumed short life, I’m certain he loves anong and he is VERY aware that she loves him.

So far he hasn’t shown much interest in janthorn beyond what’s polite. he’s also denied his feelings for janthorn already to both chut and choy, but they don’t seem to believe him. I think at most he feels responsible for janthorn’s life and sees him like a sister because his brother in law asked wichai to take care of her after he dies. As for train ticket, janthorn was being match made so he probably wants to settle that with janthorn’s family.

He doesn’t deny he likes janthorn in front of anong because he wants to use this misunderstanding to get anong to give up on him, because he doesn’t want her to be sad when he dies!! Also he doesn’t think he’s worthy of love or able to give anong adequate love because of the way he was brought up by his mother.

As for the sister thing (I was hella annoyed too like girly literally just said she likes u sir), even though he does not think they should be together, he still wants to remain in her life. 😭😭 he looked very torn in the rain scene I’m 100% sure he loves anong and already knew anong loves him many eps ago.

Overall he’s a very complex character who speaks very few words so he’s easily misunderstood by those around him and by US the viewers

well he'll be real asshole if he kisses her next ep and they are still not together LOL. its a confirmation of feelings at least and usually dramas get stale once the leads are both in love

wichai wont think that anong is ruining chat's wedding for chat. he knows she ruined it for wichai because she told wichai she wants to see the person she loves (wichai) be happy with the person he loves. at this point he already knows that anong is in love with him. chut is just an annoying immature brat so ya he'll pretty much just be up his own ass the whole time

same tbh a lot of the conflict is being resolved. the moment they get tgt i fear it'll be boring and the conflicts will feel forced. i truly hope not, because im loving the show and its pacing so far

Chantorn serves a lot of purpose in this drama and one of them is to create misunderstandings like you said. She, who is a woman with nothing, also serves as a contrast to Anong, a woman who has everything. And mind you she never did anything to make others think she likes wichai. In fact she likes chut and has always shown that she likes him. If you have to find anyone annoying it would be Choy, wichai’s sister, who was the first person to assume wichai likes chantorn and kept telling that to everyone else. Or even wichai, who never denied that he didn’t like chantorn. In fact he’s the one using this misunderstanding to his benefit. He doesn’t want Anong to like him because he thinks can’t live long and will make her sad.

AHHH I just read a thai tiktok comment on why Wichai didn’t deny that he likes janthorn!!! It’s to make anong give up on him because he does not think he will live very long!!! Which I think is highly plausible, considering that he has not shown much interest in janthorn at all beyond what is polite. And honestly at this point I don’t think he has been clueless about among’s feelings towards him at all. He’s probably know it since a few eps ago. And looked so torn when anong confessed to him in the rain.

in the rain scene when he talked about love it sounds just like how he feels for her. “Love is not about ownership. Not being together with the one you love does not mean that love will disappear” and even on the radio show where he said “if a woman is always in tears when she’s with you then it’s best to let her go and experience something better”. He probably genuinely thinks he doesn’t have long to live, compounded by the fact that he does not think he deserves to be loved or can provide anyone with adequate love. Overall he’s such a pitiful person. This drama has made both the leads very complex and their feelings so nuanced

Both his sister and anong asked him why he’s willing to give janthorn up and he hasn’t denied anything. If he wasn’t into her he could’ve just told them he doesn’t even like her… so honestly idek what hes thinking in ep 9. But on Thai forums they say that the drama isn’t really following the janthorn plot in the novel so now I’m just confused
