I totally regret watching this. It needs to be BINGED 😭😭😭 i finally caught up and it gets better with each ep omg. Crazy lakorn. It’s one of those jems that come by once every forever. Yaya is honestly so amazing I can totally feel her heartbreak in ep 7

does anyone know the period this is set in? from thaitok i see some posts saying the novel is based in 1930s but the drama is based in the 50s. i just cant tell at all from the fashion... (male lead is dressed like hes from the 1800s sometimes)

first ep verdict: overall looks promising! yaya is positively GLOWING in this, anong is just too cute. i can see that is going to down the restrained "forbidden" romance trope which i absolutely loveeee. i have just one gripe, the ML sounds like he's reading from a script, but his character is somewhat straight laced and quiet so its not too bad. his expressions also fit his character so i can kinda look past the robotic performance. also honestly idk if its just me but it feels like his pronunciation is a bit off sometimes (like a thai who's lived overseas and sometimes cant pronounce things right). but overall i like his character (monk-like just like his name LOL), and i like how the ML & FL kinda clash because of their personalities . also is it just me he kinda looks like PP???

That’s an interesting perspective cos I never thought the drama was slow. For a historical drama I thought it was quite fast paced and something was always happening every ep.

I’m not new to tvN dramas with longer eps but for me this drama just didn’t have enough plot to sustain the longer air time. It felt especially long towards the end (where I was enjoying the show less). Also personally I think that healing dramas tend to do better with shorter eps since it’s naturally draggy.

The eps are too long. Like wdym I watched 1h but I’m still not done with ep 15 😭😭😭 I tried I just can’t do it. The conflicts are feeling contrived now. Like wdym the mums are suddenly fighting after 40 years of friendship??? TF 😭😭 they are petty but I don’t think they are THAT petty
Couldn’t get through ep 15 so I guess this is where I call it quits. I didn’t like the first ep but the show did get more interesting as the eps went by. The first half was quite heavy and triggering, but was still entertaining. The romance was initially very fun to watch but got soooooo boring when the leads got together. frankly the main leads got very bland in the second half and it felt like they had no sense of character. Mo eum, reporter and yeondu are very cute.
