watched this thinking it was gonna have some dark toxic romance but BABES THERE WAS NONE UNTIL THE LAST 5 eps. By then I feel like we’ve just been through way too much to be suffering with a maniac love interest. Like babes u alr died once do u really wanna live with a madman??

FINALLY completed this. Overall pretty ok but there was way less drama than I expected. I can even go as far as to say this was almost slice of life LOL. I think it would’ve been better if it was a bit shorter at around 35 eps. There was quite a lot of filler towards the end.

to sum up wei wu xian is a yapper and all lan zhan does this entire drama is say "wei ying" and clutch his bichen. but i still love it anyway

Like I finally know what’s going on in the first few eps. also on the second watching, this is definitely ROMANCE LOL. on my first watch i didnt really get that vibe but on the second watch this is definitely romance

Even if she’s cold to cxz on purpose there’s no reason why the show can’t show us some of her inner turmoil? Cxz is doing so many bizarre shit to win her over, surely she feels SOMETHING??? it’s not like she doesn’t understand why he lied to her. But at this point do we even know if she likes him??? No one can tell. The only reason why they can’t be together now is because of their class difference. Is she so level headed that she’s not even the least bit affected??? even if she doesnt wanna show her true emotions to cxz she could show it to us?? the viewers??

why did they make all the women in the drama so unfeeling and heartless? not just miantang but he zhen too.
