Hey guys I’m looking for a kdrama or cdrama that is heartwarming ,humorous and has light fluffy subtle romance…
you can try welcome to samdal-ri, reply 1988, twinkling watermelon. Also I loved this c movie called upcoming summer (but opinions on it are quite divisive)
r u afraid of opinions? its not like i said the show is dumb. just ONE comment saying vibe in ONE episode is off and some scenes feeling "forced" is enough to trigger u?
Ep 2 is definitely better than ep 1. So far I find the show just ok. (Not bad but not sucked in yet) I particularly liked the tension between FL and mom. (Mom was such a fking rage bait in the 2 eps she gave me anxiety and high blood pressure no lie). I didn’t go into this thinking it’s a light show (saw some spoilers) but i wasn’t expecting it to be THIS HEAVY. Some topics are definitely triggering especially for working adults - parental expectations, work pressure, societal pressure, auntie gossip, workplace politics, losing sense of purpose. I saw some spoilers so I know heavier topics will be covered. Personally I find these topics hard to watch but it’s also the more interesting part of this show. Romance is just ok since it’s only ep 2, they are just friends and all they do is get together and talk about the past for now.
opinions after ep 1: vibes aren’t good. Everything feels so contrived and forced? 1. Paramedic scene - I hate this type of scenes so much. Paramedics can be cool just doing their jobs. They dont need to be some black belt martial artist all mighty hero to be cool 2. FL’s reunion with family/mum - I was so bewildered by the reaction. I know it’s a normal reaction in kdrama but if I found out my daughter broke her engagement and quit her job I’d be more concerned. Shouldn’t the first reaction be to ask why instead of hitting her??? 3. I found a lot of scenes with the FL and ML forced but the one where another couple said they looked like they dated for years felt the most forced. nobody saying this irl.
I’m still hopeful cos I love friends to lovers trope but ep 1 was not a vibe
watched this thinking it was gonna have some dark toxic romance but BABES THERE WAS NONE UNTIL THE LAST 5 eps. By then I feel like we’ve just been through way too much to be suffering with a maniac love interest. Like babes u alr died once do u really wanna live with a madman??
FINALLY completed this. Overall pretty ok but there was way less drama than I expected. I can even go as far as to say this was almost slice of life LOL. I think it would’ve been better if it was a bit shorter at around 35 eps. There was quite a lot of filler towards the end.
