I first watched her in New life begins, and i loved the entire cast there. Maybe that clouded my perception of her character in Dafeng, she was admittedly as you said spoiled and oblivious, but she was still adorable. 😂 That was one of her most forgettable characters. 😅

Han liang did become minister of war, he would have resources to protect his family. Especially if he married lan xiang.
Though he might now have chosen to rise up in ranks if he married lan xiang. Hm.
For the Lins, they would have also resources, jinqi and xiuru are both smart. But jinqi would most likely be at the capital, with a much higher position.

They would still be maids, but they would have their own households or if they would still live in the mansion, their own room most probably.
I've watched some dramas where their maids were married, but their living arrangements were not detailed. In road to splendor, i think sanniang and her husband have their own rooms/accomodations in the mansion. In the novel, they even had a son.

Based on the desgin in their armor they seem to hold position in the military. But may be not high enough to be considered as court officials? I'm just speculating.

Her teacher deduced it. Her opera friend, i think she knows she's from a fallen but not which family. I am not sure.
I understand how hard it would be to say it out loud. You can see her contemplating after their talk. Jinqi had already realized who she was and also realized that it really doesnt matter who she was before, she's still the woman he chose to spend his life with.

Besides what would be the point of her telling jinqi this information, she'll just endanger him. She also doesnt want jinqi to be guilty because of who she was. She's not seeking to be shen jialan again. She has made a life as lanxiang.

I guess there should be at least 1 bad egg in the group. Lets just say too that she married into the family and may not have been raised with the same values as the Lins. Im sure she'll have her own character growth, if we have time for her. 😅

Most of what i read was as the vid saidatthe end, the viewers wanted more details.
