The same as Furong, Han might have had an inkling that Scholar Lu has informally taken lanxiang as his apprentice in writing opera. As Furong also said, wiritng for the opera is something that is look down upon on, but if it's something Lanxiang wants to do then she should. So i think whatever happens whether she marry han or not, she would continue to write for operas but under a pseudonym. And from Han's actions i doubt he would let go of lanxiang if he wasn't forced to.

Try the first 2 or 3 episodes. Most that commented were already hooked by ep1 or 2. It's ok to drop it if it doent work or if the eps is really too long
