literally!! I couldn't agree with most of the comments saying bai cai killed wu geng and so and so I almost got…
I actually had my doubt in the middle of Episode 28 when Wu Geng let all the immortals ambushed him at the Palace. I was like; 'I cant believe they destroy his characterization!!ðŸ˜', 'I cant believe they didnt follow the original IP', 'I cant believe this drama going to be a bad writing after it being so solid so far... 🥹'
I'm so happy I was right at the end. It was his plan all along.
Though I cant fault anyone to think they're going to turn to stupid misunderstanding since a lot of Cdramas did have bad writing with characters turning 180 degrees, character doing dumb decisions and characters simply behaving out of characters. So for everyone to think this drama will be the same makes sense I guess.
Bai cai loves to much Agou. So it's was a act for the switch of camp, so by preview ep 30, seems FL will use her…
I think the wedding will be in Episode 37 or 38 after they meet the sea spirit clan. The wedding is definitely will happen before the big battle at the end with Hei Long. From how what we get to see right now, most probably she will return during the big battle -- there is no way they are going to kill the FL 2 or 3 episodes before the end. Plus, Xing Fei said her character has a happy ending so most probably an open ending we will get for the end.
Really female lead kill male lead at the end ?? And drama will become sad ending. Total drama already contains…
Not sure. It most probably an open ending as this Director love open ending for his dramas. An audience asked Xing Fei about whether her character has a happy ending during the promotion of the drama last year and she said 'yes'. So most probably open ending.
I'm happy that I'm right. Literally everyone is saying how stupid is Bai Cai but I knew deep down inside that its all plan devised by Wu Geng. This is because they keep dropping hints all over the drama esp on the last 4 episodes: 1) Wu Geng constantly hint on his identity to Bai Cai carelessly -- giving his Mum's hair pin, talking about military practice, etc.. 2) Bai Cai mentioned about the 'mystery voice that helped her' and Wu Geng did nothing about the crucial information. 3) The talk Wu Geng had with Bai Cai before she had a long walk on trust. This drama is very good at foreshadowing and this trust talk is the biggest hint to the audiences that their trust in each other remains unbreakable. 4) Wu Geng talking about his Mum & Dad to the Bai Prince knowing Bai Cai is behind him all along. 5) Gui Mo talking about Xinyue Kui protecting Bai Cai to Wu Geng, and still, he did nothing on the information which is hilarious. 6) His refusal to explain to Bai Cai which is totally out of character for him and didnt make any sense. 7) Wu Geng going to the Palace instead of searching for Bai Cai which is like the most mindblowingly out of character for Wu Geng to do. 8) For him to agree on Bai Prince's plan for the ceremony since my guess that its all part of his and the Prince's plan to fool the enemy. Wu Geng has been so smart and all his moves screamed stupid to me regarding the ceremony. 9) Then, the most important point on how Bai Cai has been so smart and sensible for the whole drama, so there is no way she will fall to Xinyue Kui's manipulations. Foreshadowing about how she wont let enemy used her against Wu Geng is all over the drama since Episode 15. And she will keep this promise until the end, I believe.
I'm so glad I'm right. I was not ready to be disappointed with the script. 😂 And I have to give it to the scriptwriter though -- it is a good writing. Basically fooling 80% of the audiences then give us the awesome twist at the end. :D
No she's just don't want to accept him as Wu geng and don't want him to say I'm not a gou bcz later eps or teaser…
I dont know. I have faith in the script. Its probably its her and Wu Geng plan all along. Because you see, the way the script has been structured so far, she is written as someone smart and sensible. There is so many hints that point out she always knew his secrets and has been protecting it all along. So, for the script to make her go stupid and out of character will be a disservice to the story and the original IP which is well loved.
There is a lot of instances in the drama where we thought the leads are stupid, but its actually their plan all along to fool the enemy.
So, I really hope it wont be that way as the script has been solid so far. I will be so disappointed if they go that misunderstanding route. :(((
When did Bai Cai let the High Priestess manipulate her? The latest episode, she told Wu Geng right away despite…
I have faith in the script. I try to be optimistic. 🤠I dont remember the last RJL's drama that have stupid misunderstandings in them. Hopefully it wont be this one since the script has been solid so far.
When did Bai Cai let the High Priestess manipulate her? The latest episode, she told Wu Geng right away despite…
Yes, she is the root of evil -- just like Hei Long. But the script has been great so far. I really dont want them to turn to misunderstanding to move the plot and make the characters do things that didnt make sense. She always trust and understand him, to have her fall for the evil scheme is just stupid lol considering how sensible she has been so far. Really hope it wont turn to this.
I don’t understand how BC can let the cackle queen manipulate her even if AG is WG; he’s saved her how many…
When did Bai Cai let the High Priestess manipulate her? The latest episode, she told Wu Geng right away despite she has been warned against it by the 'Voice'. And even when she did turn 'evil' at later episodes, I dont think its by manipulations as all hints are pointing out that she always know about Wu Geng's identity and has always been protecting his secret. But she is possessed by evil spirit which makes her acted against her will -- my money is in this.
This is why I love romance in non-romance dramas. Its usually one of the strength of the drama as it serve a 'soothing effects' for the characters -- the home they go to when the world is driving them crazy. Just like Wu Geng & Bai Cai relationship here.
I love how they always discuss, trust and reassure each other along the way like a true married couple lol. That is why when Bai Cai revealed her true identity to Wu Geng, she did it with a smile on her face since she knew Wu Geng will accept her regardless of her race -- there is not even a single double when she told him that despite she also struggle with her identity in the beginning.
Then when Wu Geng hint about his secret, Bai Cai stops him which further prove that she always knew his identity, since long time ago. But since he is not ready to tell her, she wont push him.
Then the best part is the latest episode. The High Priestess threatened her on not telling anyone that she saves her or she will hurt her loved ones but the moment she meet Wu Geng, she told him right away. 😂 I guess she just told him 'mysterious person' as she didnt recognize that voice as she only heard her once. But I love how she is unwilling to be manipulated so far.
Ok, can we spent a moment and appreciate how amazing the character details of Wu Geng in particular? One thing I like a Wu Geng is how self aware he is. He sure start as being impulsive but you can see how he matures and fit into the leadership role slowly. What I like the most about him is that he always put his people as #1, it wasnt actually revenge on his mind but rather wanting to release all people from suffering under the Immortal reign is his actual real goal. I like how the writer always highlighted that -- whether in his monologue inside his head or his actions. It also being portray with the little details all over the drama -- like how he will see them and acknowledge their well wishes to how he doesnt like to be praise when they start worshipping/bowing to him. He really see them as people he needs to protect -- regardless of race -- be it human or demon race. He always have their best interest at heart.
Yes! Thanks for a good summary of the plot so far. I also appreciate that the producers maintained 90% of the…
I think the fact that the drama remain faithful to the Donghua is certainly a plus side. And all the changes actually elevate the drama in my opinion and makes it more easy for consumption and easier to accept and appear more seamlessly. The production team certainly doing everything right at the moment. I'm just so happy lol
The plot has been very engaging so far. It is also very entertaining and compelling. I like how layered are the script. Instead of just showing Human VS Gods, we are being presented with a lot of conflicts as well.
First, we see how the Bai State which is a human race is helping the Immortal to wipe out Xin State even when they have already lost the war to show that human will always take advantage of other human's misfortunes. This human nature will not change even when they have one common enemy.
Also, the conflicts in the immortals realm -- like horrible things they did to their own race aka Shi Xing's endless suffering. Its amazing how they describe the suffering on how they will never let him die and he will forget everything then when the blood moon comes, he will remember and kill his love one over and over again. So, the suffering that he face will always be fresh. Its truly hell for him -- living out his nightmare over and over again with no hope of release. Then the internal conflict between the Immortal Elder and the High Priestess. I like how they put all this conflicts to show it wasnt rosy and harmony up there as well despite all the beauty and power that the Immortal possessed.
Then, comes the demon world which is like the worst out of the 3 realms. I love how Wu Geng is very shocked to see the state they're living in since he thought human race had it horrible then he saw the demon clan then everything just changed -- they had it way way worst. And now, even without waiting 7 days, we wants to join hand with Erxing since he is also compelled to save the demon clan from the suffering as well.
I love how everything being developed so far. It covers many aspects that made the drama such a great watch. I hope the awesome pacing will continue until the end.
True. She already had her suspicions at the very start when Wu Geng "took over" Agou's body. She even said, "Whether…
haha true. She goes and follow his every whim since thats the only thing she can do given their circumstances. Since whether he is A'gou or not, he has the same face of someone that she grew up with so its only making sense for her to still wanting to protect him despite questioning his identity.
Yeah true maybe she always knows but pretend not to know
I'm at episode 14 right now. Havent caught up with the new 2 episodes last night. But I had the feeling thats the direction they are going on with all he little hints they throw so far in the drama.
It was so funny, when I started watching, I went like: oh, I've already seen this... but then I realised, this…
Thank you for your detail reply. But I think the changes made so far elevate the story even more like how they make Wu Geng and A'Gou the same person. With this change, it made its easier for audiences to accept the romance later than he simply taking away other person's identity and wife. XD And with them making him the same age as A'Gou instead of a child, it makes more sense for everything to move in the story.
BTW, the caressing of the chin that done by Bai Cai to A'gou, is it in the original donghua or its only here in the drama?
Hmmm interesting. It wasnt unnecessarily caring as her reaction so far are very normal. She actually tone down a lot and control herself and only retaliate when he hurt himself. I find this kind of care are pretty normal in everyday life as well.
Regarding need to be powerful enough, in the story so far, it is not them who actually seek the fight since they clearly know they are not powerful enough yet. The first time, Bai Cai was taken away by the Bai Prince. And the 2nd time, the immortals are the one who go to the Shenyin village to attack them. In both occasions, they are not the one who seek the trouble. They just defends themselves with everything that they got.
If they stupidly asking for trouble, I understand this kind of reactions. But they haven't done that so far.
I really like the leads' relationship. They are a team and they trust each other wholeheartedly. I love how they communicate and always tell each other what they think and work as a team. For an example, it is making perfect sense that Wu Geng wants to send Bai Cai away when he is going to do dangerous things at the mine cave but when she refused, he agrees to face it together with her. Even when he want to join the Shenyin Village, he tells her clearly his goals and discuss with her and tell her his POV and she agree with him too since she happen to have the same desire for justice, just like him.
Then, when she see his suffering at Shenyin village, she always clearly explaining to him her worries and why they should leave and he will always assuring her that he is okay and its all part of the things that will make him stronger. I love how mature are the two of them. The writing could go the route of her asking him to chose between her and his training but she wont do that since she understand him and what he wants to accomplished.
Even when he didnt want to tell her how he got hurt, its not because he treat her as a child but because he knew her so well and the extend she will do save him -- which is exactly what she did when she nearly died trying to get the lotus flower nectar for him.
Then, the first thing he did when he saw the Old Man hurting Bai Cai is taking Bai Cai away from the place, no question asked. Then when he wants to save Shenyin village, he discuss with her again his decision and again, when she want to follow him, he never shoo her away.
I really like how they always communicate and reassuring each other. The path that they are going to take is certainly not easy but they handled everything with grace and by talking to each other -- its very refreshing to see this kind of relationship. So instead of we being thrown into misunderstanding and noble idiocy troupes, what we get is a power couple that actually communicate with each other about their worries, goals and wants. I certainly love this kind of relationship in my dramas. An extra point to that aside from the engaging plots we have been getting so far.
I'm so happy I was right at the end. It was his plan all along.
