I really like the storyline so far but the excessive CGI did bother me. I'm so glad its tone down a looooot after the first 2 episodes. I usually have faith in Ren Jialun's choice of dramas so I will be waiting to see how the story will unfold. This type of story hasnt done before where human versus Gods so I'm wondering how are they going to take this and make it believable. And the story is fast paced which is definitely a plus! :D
Im excited! The OSTs sounds amazing esp the theme song. :D
That is why I'm a big fan of his OSTs. He has this soothing and melodious voice that is really a bliss to your ears. I'm sad that he didnt sing any for Twilight OST last year since his theme song for Thousand Years for You is really great.
I'm really excited for this. I love this type of dramas. However, reading the synopsis it seemed like the genre is Wuxia. But it is tagged as historical. I thought its time for Ren Jialun to act in historical dramas again since Glory of Tang Dynasty was like 7 years ago.
If you have watched this:1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is…
1) Is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ? There is love tri-angle but it is very light and the 2ML & 2FL didnt stand a chance at all. There is no misunderstanding between them when it comes to love. They trust each other which is nice to see actually.
2) When do leads will be together They married early like halfway through the drama. But even before that, they have good relationship with each other despite the ML loves to tease the FL.
3) Is there any breakup? if there till how many eps? The breakup is in the last 2 episode (if I'm not mistaken) during the last arch when the FL needs to enter the pagoda but they are together again in the last episode.
4) Is there happy ending? There are 2 endings. The 1st one is a longer version where they show ML & FL met and talked on the bridge. While the 2nd ending is a montage of FL's experience after ML's death which also ended up with scene at the bridge where they met up. Both are happy endings.
wahh my first ever cdrama.I have a love/hate relationship with this drama. i cried so much nonstop watching this.…
But both endings are happy endings though? The 1st one is a longer version where they show XiXuan & YaoYao met and talked on the bridge. While the 2nd ending is a montage of YaoYao's experience after XiXuan's death which also ended up with scene at the bridge where they met up. Both are happy endings.
You are free to stop watching His Drama. Just look for other actors and Dramas that will suit your taste. And…
Do you meant his dramas One & Only and Forever & Ever? Didnt he did great in them? His microexpressions in One & Only is one of the best I've seen in Cdramas. He also did great in Forever & Ever -- he really sell those awkward and nerdy professor to the T. And didnt the drama has a kissing scene? Or do you meant his other dramas?
Both dramas are commercial success back in 2021. Forever & Ever at #4 and One & Only at #8. It one of those dramas that have great scripts as well as popular among the general public.
Rewatching this drama again since I just love how healing it was. The script is very unique and creative. Like foreshadowing for future events are told from the scripts that the ML wrote, so the unknown faces in his script will make their way into his life so you know their motives when they finally make appearances. Or how the details on the characters are so subtle but full of depth at the same time. Or how the details in the drama are like pieces of puzzle that made complete sense at the end. Or how everything is connected and like chain of reaction that affect on how the ML wrote his stories. Its really amazing stuffs. :)
It’s an adaption from real life story…with a little tweak in it to spice things up. To know what’s the real…
This movie is taken from real life events. In the movie, he did found out later (when he screamed inside the prison) but irl, he did knew that she was pregnant even before he killed her. Real life is indeed crueler than fiction. 😬

Ohh yes, I know why they aren't a pair. Because in some movies, you unintentionally see some sexual tension between 2 characters that are not supposed to have that and here, it is just perfect -- just like their characters supposed to be.
And thank you for taking time to tell us that the movie is actually from a real life story. The fact that he knew that she is pregnant is just really sad...
Yes exactly, thats why it makes a bad writing. For the viewers, it is too one-sided. A good writer need to balance…
Sorry, I watched this 10 years ago so I dont remember the details. But I do remember she did being honest to her husband as having someone she used to love before but now she has moved on and chose her husband (which she did in action and also feelings). I think its pretty fair for him. People do love somebody else before and had move on -- she is also like that. I dont find problem with that.
Because FL choose him and she married him with her own will..
Yes exactly, thats why it makes a bad writing. For the viewers, it is too one-sided. A good writer need to balance and let the viewers see why she chose him. Not showing how this one guy who literally would die for her then having her not to address it at all -- till the end while still hoping he would save her, it made her appears self-centered and selfish -- which is not a good look.
The writer should have increase the value of the 2ML and make the 1ML less tragic for the viewers to understand her decision. If not, it just an attempt for the writer to gain sympathy and make the ML the most tragic as he can be to squeeze the tears out of the audiences.
The writer lacked balance writing that a good writer should possessed, which is my main issue with this drama.

I really like where this is going so far.
