I disagree. He has his own issues too. Nobody is perfect. I hope they come to understand each other and get back in the end. Xu Yan loves him and he is already in love with her but he is still trapped in the past. I don't think that AC scene in ep 2 was calculated. He is perceptive. He has empathy. He has feelings for her.

I think we can safely say, nobody does 😂 They are both delusional.

My personal reaction to Haoming is that I like that he knew she was lying. I like a ML with a brilliant mind. It might get nasty with the break up but I feel he cares for her much more than he knows. He still has conflicts within himself over the death of his ex. And Xu Yan lied too. But there were times when she told stories of her "friend" and I can see he knows who that friend is. I see something in him that seems to understand her. He has his motives too but nobody is perfect.

I have only watched two regular dramas in the last 4 months because of those vertical dramas. They just keep coming. However, I told myself I am never watching another of those dramas where the ML protects the sfl over the fl because he thinks the sfl saved him or he as some kind of obligation to her. I am going to share your comment with some my vertical drama friends 😂 Even the parents rejecting of their biological daughters for another is similar. But in this case, Haoming is not that extreme.

I watched One and Only after I watched Forever and Ever. I knew the ending was tragic and people said it wasn't necessary to watch it. But I was curious to see their previous life after watching Forever and Ever. Zhou Sheng Chen was unforgettable. I could believe his followers loved him. I had to take a long walk after that ending.
