You covered all the main aspects of FOMH. Excellent review! I agree that I would have wished they had done a few things, but it didn't affect how much I loved this drama. Wang Chu Ran is excellent. She doesn't overact to show her emotions. Her eyes are expressive. I could feel the deep emotions between the leads. Both WCR and Yang Yang were perfect.
This drama got some hate due to FL's brother but I liked him. I felt he was protective of her but he let go once he saw how good Song Yan was for her. I hoped there would be a spinoff of his story.

I recently discovered the singer Shan Yi Chun and realized she sang one of the OST in Forever and Ever. I knew her voice sounded familiar when I heard her on Sing!China. Whenever you post the OST's, I will be looking for her.

Yes! She is excellent in this. I felt so bad when she stabbed him with her pin then he wiped it off and put it back in her hair. It is as if he is accepting punishment for what he did. I am on ep 25. Are you saying the hatred directed at him goes on for several more episodes. I feel so bad for him.

I agree about the screentime but it was only in the last part that the focus switched to SRQ. I don't think they were implying that things would have been different if sml had proposed. I think they were trying to lead us astray to make us wonder if LR would choose SRQ but from my point of view, I didn't think that would happen and I didn't buy into any of it. I pretty much rolled my eyes at that twirling scene down the side of the cliff when he saved her. It was ridiculous. If I had taken any of that seriously I might not have enjoyed it as much as I did so I am glad I didn't. I only watched SRQ to find out what he knew about the past. It was PWX who stood out for me. I loved the way he loved LR, and I loved the way he knew LR was insecure about him staying with her and he offered her comfort. Each time she asked if he would be there he assured her he would . I loved the way he understood her.

That will change soon and you will see his regret. I feel so bad for him because he is suffering and loves her.

I hardly noticed the sml when I watched it the first time. The comments were spoiling the mood for me so I stopped reading them before each episode. I was focused on the leads and thoroughly enjoyed the drama. It is because of the comments that on rewatch the comments made me look for what they were complaining about and I can see that the producer was trying to make it seem that way. But I didn't buy into it and was able to enjoy TPR. When LR told PWX she only had him in her heart, it was great to see confirmation of what I felt from the start. It was evident that LR cared for PWX in a way she never felt for anyone else. However, I can understand how the way LR and SRQ was presented would affect the feel of the drama for you and some others. I am so glad I was too focused on PeiRong and loved them so much that SRQ's presence was not a big factor in the drama. Someone here said that one rewatch she focused on the leads and fast forwarded through SRQ and found herself loving TPR much more.

I had trouble getting to ep 17 and it got better. Ep 24 was good. Keep watching because I hear it ends being good overall.

If you focus on the main couple you will see that they love each other and that LR has only PWX in her heart. I am not sure which episode you are on. In the beginning she thought it was PWX who killed her so in this life her plan was to choose SRQ who she believed was the one person she could trust. That is cleared up soon.

Yes it did. I read that the extra episode was put together in a rush. The director got a lot of scolding on weibo for the ending.

Yes. But when I saw the ending, I assumed he was coming home. It wasn't until I read the comments that I realized people thought he died. But their arguments for this made sense in terms of him having to face the enemy on his own. I was already so upset about the horrible end to the duo team. That director needs to have his head examined...
