I am watching The Princess Royal for what it is and not for what was in the novel. Li Rong comes off harsh in her treatment of PWX at the start but even then I could see she hesitated because a part of her still cares for him. She is a complex character raised as a princess. It is evident that she is aware of protocol and the expectations of royalty from the way she stops her brother the crowned prince from emotional outbursts. It is good to keep this in mind while watching ep 11. Either way, I feel Li Rong loved PXW in both lives. The correlation between the flashback to the previous life and the scene from ep 11 where both leads talked about their feelings is significant... And I am so happy to see that the misunderstandings are being addressed now and not later.

This is a good one. It was tough to watch her at the start but even then you could see her battle with her feeling for PWX. Remember she thought he killed her.

I am only going by what I am seeing in the drama. There was an misunderstanding about QZZ and they separated. The drama showed she had him killed when she thought he poisoned her. Oh well. Let's just keep watching to see what happens but regardless of what happened, I can see she loved him in both lives.

I saw it in the youku app before. I don't see it anymore. I am pretty sure it was ep 13 but now I only see ep 12. I was wondering about that because we only get one episode tomorrow.

Absolutely. Many are judging LR based on the presumption that she loved the sml in both lives. I know in the novel something happened but it will not happen in the drama. And regardless of what happened in the novel version of her previous life, I feel she really loved PWX.

It was amazing! It confirms how I felt about the leads. They truly love each other.

She reminds me of Zhang Jing Yi

She is such a beautiful and natural actress. I like her style. She doesn't overact and her speech sounds natural.

I went back to watch ep 6 again to see if I could see any of what you saw to make you believe she was drooling over sml and I still don't see it. If you noticed in ep 4 in one of the flashbacks, Li Rong's maid begged PWX to stay and talk it out because she said the princess was proud and it was the rumors about QZZ that caused the misunderstanding. PWX made the mistake of not making it clear to LR that he did not love QZZ.

In ep 6, LR looked uncomfortable with SRQ more than anything. Imagine knowing that someone you trusted once killed you. But it is her reaction to PWX that I see passion. She was at first angry at him when she thought he killed her. But even when she had him thrown in the lake, you could still see she cared for him. I am going by her expressions and actions. EP11 will confirm their feelings for each other more. If you still feel she loves the sml and I know you said you don't like these types tropes, it is up to you if you want to continue and drop. I absolutely dislike watching a FL who likes the sml more, so I totally understand. I would not watch this if I felt she did.

I had to share this of a younger Mai Mai. She was chosen by the producer to play the complex Li Rong due to her acting talents. The producer said Jinmai had strengths in excellent lines and acting skills. It is not surprising watching this younger Mai Mai that she would be the talented and beautiful actress she is today.

I don't see her drooling over the sml. In the first couple episode before she knew he killed her, she was purposely being nice to him to get back at the ML because she thought it was Pei Wanxuan who killed her. Once PWX told her it was SRQ who killed her she believed him. I feel she felt awkward with SRQ. Also, at this point of the present life, SRQ's family was not exiled or destroyed. He was still an essentially good person.
I can see it is PWX she loved in both lives from her memories of him and the way she looks everytime he does something which reminds her of her past life. I watched all 11 episodes out now and this is what I felt watching. Keep watching. You might change your mind. It is going to turn out to be a story of an amazing love which transcended time .

I watched it a 100 times already. I might leave it on as I sleep so I can hear his voice. He was so sexy the way he talked to her. I could just scream!
